Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Jem oh really. We had an additional box "Other Parameters" below the main box. I've attached it. The top 3 are perfect but no idea what Debris ++ means though!

DH found it all very strange and he was quietly very stressed in the days leading up to it. I stayed very positive and full of praise, even telling him he'd do a great job over the phone whilst he was driving there! I was shitting it He half-jokingly said a few times "are you still going to love me/are you going to leave me if the results are shit?" "What if I have no sperm?" Obviously all silly thoughts but it must be very hard for them. He's happy with his results but we feel they could be better. He feels more confident and is motivated to take more supps, drink more water and quit smoking. How's your DH doing? When does he have his repeat SA?

Sorry you're having a tough time emotionallyFlowers When is AF due? LSFX

Sorry about AF wing Flowers

Welcome click!!

Alexia how much coq10 are you on? I think I take 600mg a day.

Go for it sk1pper!!! And LSFX Wink

Londonjem I cry on the bus (also planes, trains and autombiles) ALL THE TIME!!! I don't give a shit - better out than in!!!

What a long day!!! So so so stressed due to work. Itchiness is ever present - really think it may be stress related. Am in taxi home - could not face public transport after today.

sk1pper · 11/10/2016 21:20

Jem - that thread was...interesting and does make me feel slightly better. Quite scary that some of the mums think they are different people after having kids (and not for the better too!)

Alexia - of course you will think the results could be better, that's human nature, but don't forget they could be much much worse. This is a really positive result for you both, make sure you celebrate it properly. Onwards and upwards!

kwick - what itching do you get when stressed? For me it's my scalp, I itch it raw. Sorry work is so stressful for you right now, I hope it gets better soon xx

WantingBaby1 · 11/10/2016 21:24

Having a bad day :( have been wanting a baby since DH and I got married over a year ago but with one thing and another - house buying, job changing etc - it's never been the right time. Now we're ttc and I feel overwhelmed. Stopped taking the pill 6 wks ago and AF arrived a week ago for about 4 days. Stupidly I feel down that things aren't happening as quickly as I'd hoped. We are so prepared! But I don't know what my cycles will be like and DH seems to think he knows when I'll ovulate but in reality it's a total mystery bc I haven't had a proper cycle yet. I've got cheapo ovulation tests and one looked ever so slightly positive yesterday so we DTD but today I did another and it's pretty clear I'm not ovulating. Not unsurprising given that I'd only be 8 days post the start of my first period! But I just want this so much and it's making me sad reading so many posts about it taking ages :( maybe we should have started earlier but I honestly don't think we were ready to. Now DH seems to think it'll happen instantaneously and mangjng his expectations, and my own hope, is a lot. Feeling very tearful tonight. It'll be OK won't it?

LondonJem · 11/10/2016 21:33

Alexia my DH was very similar but quieter, I'm sure he was thinking What Ifs but didn't voice them. He seems a bit in denial now about the low morphology but it does seem to have helped him make some positive choices - drinking less coffee, less alcohol and he's ordered Proxeed off amazon. I've read in a few places Dr Ramsay - a renowned Harley St specialist - recommends it for low morphology. Really great yours is looking at lifestyle too esp smoking. DH is going for a repeat test on the NHS - it's his choice when he goes as got to make sure he has abstained for right length of time before. This time he has to wank at home and take the pot in within the hour. No jizz room or porn on the nhs!

LondonJem · 11/10/2016 21:36

Kwick what is it with public transport and crying Wink nightmare. Please get some rest!

Skipper yes it really is an eye opener. It's easy to forget that one day we will have little ones demanding our constant attention and we might even look back to these child free days and think lie ins / time with DH / cocktails after work etc were nice...

LondonJem · 11/10/2016 21:44

Wanting honestly try to relax and enjoy the process. Chances are you might get lucky and be preggers within a few cycles. It is scary reading about how long it can take - I can't believe I'm about to start cycle 11 - but so many more women fall much much quicker. This thread has been around some time and has a few of us who've been trying a while also. So push the worries to the back of your mind and focus instead on all the great shagging coming up. And get to know your body - the more you get tuned into your ovulation signs checking cervical fluid and looking out for ovulation pains - the better you will get at knowing when to get busy. Good luck Smile

WantingBaby1 · 11/10/2016 21:46

Thank you LondonJem x

sk1pper · 11/10/2016 21:56

wanting - you may have missed the window for the full positive OPK. It can happen quite quickly for some women and if you had a near positive I would say you have ovulated. It's only your first cycle so don't dispair. That's only allowed once your a veteran ;)

Musicgrrl · 11/10/2016 22:18

Jem thanks for sharing that thread - it is great material for while AF is here!

Alexia I think your SA results sound really positive. No big scary issues in there. And glad it has made DH focus a bit on his role in this! I'd like to have one done but know realistically it's sensible to wait a few more cycles as I'm only into my 4th when we've been ttc. We've agreed that we'll think about it in the new year.

Youowemeatenner · 12/10/2016 07:10

I'm out for this month. AF is after turning up. Wee bitch. Aw well. Cycle 2 here I come. I'm not feeling particularly disappointed as I've had a few days of the classic AF indicators to ease me into it. Was a bit weepy on Sunday night when I got terribly farty (tmi, sorry, but that's a sign for me that AF is on her way) but I'm feeling grand now.

This month I'll be temping and using the wee opks and tracking everything on my apps. It will be a much more conscientious effort!

kwick · 12/10/2016 07:43

sk1pper itchiness moves around: feet, palms, legs, scalp, tummy... fricking annoying!!! This is a new affliction and I DON'T LIKE IT!!! Angry

wanting it will defo be ok!!! Just give it a bit if time. How does your DH know you are ovulating? starky's DH had an extraordinary sense of smell... God I miss her!!!!

Sorry you Flowers

Margo5 · 12/10/2016 08:06

Londonjem thanks for the hugs - we share the same predicted AF day... tomorrow!

I think AF is def on her way as my bbt dropped dramatically this morning. This month was only my second month of charting so still getting used to it, it's fascinating!

Good luck to all those still in this month Smile

Wondering whether I should buy some posher opks? I have the cheap Amazon ones which do pick up ovulation but wonder if they are accurate... I borrowed a friend's Clear Blue Fertility monitor (the original one, not advanced) when we first started trying and I used it for about 3 months before giving up as the sticks are so expensive. I still have it and am thinking that maybe I should try it again... any thoughts or recommendations of opks appreciated?

Margo5 · 12/10/2016 08:08

Londonjem meant to send you some hugs back FlowersChocolate I hope that you've had not further crying on bus situations, supermarkets seem to be my favourite public crying arena!

Mooseville · 12/10/2016 08:35

Hi everyone. I'm still here lurking and keeping LSFX for you all!!!

I think everything is still going ok here! I've got nothing to judge that on as still symptomless really!

LondonJem · 12/10/2016 08:37

Music I wouldn't consider testing for a while yet, it's perfectly normal for it to take a while. Testing is stressful especially for men I think, I'd avoid putting unnecessary pressure on them.

We got one as got to ten cycles with nothing, and also because my husband is exposed to a lot of radiation at work - I was worried this might be having an effect. I still think it might be why he has low morphology.

OPK tips! I use Internet cheapies off amazon. They work perfectly for me. I start testing at about day 10. My cycle is 29 days so I usually ovulate on day 15 or 16. I start with one OPK at around midday for the first few days, when the line gets stronger I do two or three tests a day.

I usually get a good strong positive for two days - albeit slightly less on second day. I think I ovulate within 24 hours of getting the initial positive, as that's when I get the clearest ovulation pain.

I don't temp can't be doing with the faff! I've heard mixed things about the clear blue monitor, and cheapies work for me 👍🏼

LondonJem · 12/10/2016 08:38

Thanks Margo Smile fx for both of us

Hello moose glad it's all going well and you haven't developed awful sickness or anything. When's your scan?

Hi jem So far so good, other than a little bit of queasiness.

Private scan booked for next Fri when I'll be 7 weeks.

HepKestrel · 12/10/2016 09:27

LSFX for you moose

MrsLoz · 12/10/2016 09:30

So AF was due yesterday, still no sign yet. Trying to hold off testing as it could just be my cycle getting back on track after stopping taking the pill in August.

Been feeling pretty crap these past couple of days. Had sore throat, chesty cough, fatigue and general blurgh!

Going to maybe hold out until tomorrow to test as I'm off out Friday night so need to double check if i can drink or not.

geeup · 12/10/2016 09:32

Sk1p - I'm in fertile week too. Started getting a bit of watery but don't often get ewcm so will crack on regardless. Out tonight after work so may end up having to wake up the OH to DTD when I get home which isn't always very successful but will have a go. Expecting to ovulate on Saturday (cd14) ideally Sunday but not sure as clomid may have affected it. Need to be tactical this fertile week as have a smear on Friday so can't DTD 24 hrs before which complicates timings and I have a dildocam scan on Saturday morning so probably don't want to before that either but don't want to miss the egg. Argh!

WantingBaby1 · 12/10/2016 09:48

Thanks ladies.

kwick DH seems to think my cycle will automatically be 28 days, and therefore if we DTD on day 14 I'll get pregnant instantly. If only!

I've no idea how long my cycles are as have only had one period since coming off the pill.

LondonJem · 12/10/2016 09:58

So exciting moose hope it all goes well let us know

Sounds promising mrsloz fx
