Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

kav sorry about AF,Flowers but good news about your OH's job !

harriet looks totally normal to me

theclick · 10/10/2016 20:05

Hey all. Thinking about starting soon and I've been tracking my cycles so I know when to try etc. Should I visit my GP beforehand for any reason?

miwelaisjacydo · 10/10/2016 20:17

Hello the click I can't think of a reason unless there is a specific family reason ie Inhave to take extra folic acid. So get high dose from GP.

It's worth also taking folic acid when TTC and multi vitamins

WingingIt83 · 10/10/2016 20:38

Wow lots to catch up on! Sorry I'm still several pages behind so need to go have a read but just checking to report that I'm out :-(
AF appeared late Friday night, the only positive this month is that the agnus castus/diet change has clearly paid off as had a 13 day luteal instead of 9/10.

Ive lost count but I think into cycle 9 it is. ..

Musicgrrl · 10/10/2016 20:44

Ooh winging really sorry to hear that you're out Flowers But that's positive about your LP. What was your diet change?

theclick · 10/10/2016 20:50

Thanks miewelais! Take iron anyway so will visit my GP re folic.

WingingIt83 · 10/10/2016 21:08

music I basically googled how to lengthen luteal phase and tried to incorporate those foods as much as poss. Kale, eggs, butter, walnuts etc

sk1pper · 10/10/2016 21:26

pug - tell them you've been trying for 2 years but off contraception for 6. Should make it easier for you, let me know how it goes

kwick - thanks, don't want to jinx it but after my normal face cleaning routine tonight it's looking much much better. Also have stripped back all the vits and supplements to just pregnacare, going to reintroduce each one slowly to see if it's one of those. Might be the bee propolis.

winging - sorry about AF xx

LondonJem · 10/10/2016 21:28

Ha skipper you will be ready for her! Let us know how it goes

Alexia my DH results attached. It's the count and motility that are most important I think, rather than volume.

Harriet that kind of fluctuation is totally normal. Mine are anywhere between 28-32 days

Sorry about AF winging , that is a much better lp

Congrats Mabel Flowers let's hope you are the start of a chain reaction of more bfps!
Blimey this thread moves fast...Shock
I am currently 10dpo and although Fertility Friend is saying not to test til Thurs, I POAS this evening when I got home from work as am impatient... Got a BFN and wish I hadn't tested as it's now made me feel low and disappointed, I even had a little cry!
Hey ho, I need to remain positive as there is still hope this month... I hate the 2ww!!!! Confused

WantingBaby1 · 11/10/2016 07:09

Sorry margo , fingers crossed it's just too early to tell. Test again on Thursday :)

Has anyone conceived whist using k y jelly? I've heard it slows down sperm but we accidently used some last night instead of the conceive plus. Had this scuppered my chances?!

Starmist · 11/10/2016 07:18

Welcome BDiff & Click

Jem hope you're doing ok

Mouse I'm so sorry to hear about your family news. Thinking of you

Skipper sudocrem works a treat on calming down big red spots. Hope your GP can help re the pain

Alexia great SA results, congrats!

Welcome Eva I remember you too from the other thread

Congrats Mabel!!! Lovely news

Kav AF is a total bitch. Congrats on job news though

Winging sorry you're out SadWine

Margo hope you're ok. Defo still hope for this cycle, was probably too early to test

I'm having the day off work as really suffering with this damn cold, wish it would do one. AF expected Wed-Fri

AlexiaB · 11/10/2016 11:30

Thanks for sharing Jem. Oh yeh I know, I was only saying it because his vol was high but he said it wasn't all he had to give haha! Did yours say anything about Debris? I've been googling and still can't work out if ++ next to it is good or bad?

I've had my DH on zinc, omega 3, vit d & calcium, folic acid and a multi vit since about April/May so I feel like it's probably helped. Finally ordered ubiquinol coq10 yesterday too. Our aim is to make sure we're both very healthy come January. New clean eating plan, loads of water and more exercise! PMAGrin

Welcome click

Sorry about AF wingFlowers great news on the longer LP though!

Hope you feel better soon Starmist and have some good tv/movies/food to chill out with today. It's actually freezing!

MouseLove · 11/10/2016 14:16

Alexia stop googling and ask your doc for a detailed walk through of the results. They should have done that surely! Confused

AlexiaB · 11/10/2016 14:23

No, it was private Mouse. You have to pay extra to discuss the results with them and since they were 'normal' we aren't going to bother. Just thought I'd ask Jem if she knew.

sk1pper · 11/10/2016 15:08

Ugh a really nice job has come up at work... I want to apply for it but I don't know if it's the right thing to do.

MouseLove · 11/10/2016 15:27

Go for it Sk1pper, life doesn't stop when you're TTC.

AlexiaB · 11/10/2016 16:07

Go for it skipper if it's what you want!

HepKestrel · 11/10/2016 16:13

you can't put your life on hold for ttc, we don't know how long it will take ... plus i'm a big believer in sod's law Wink

Binkybunny13 · 11/10/2016 16:19

I second hep- Sod's law power! Go for it sk1pper!

geeup · 11/10/2016 17:00

Sk1p - I put things on hold for ages because the job I was doing was easy and I thought would be a nice job to cruise into maternity leave from. However obviously things weren't happening for ages so I plucked up the courage to apply for an interesting job internally which I got and it's been a lifesaver. I used the move to negotiate an extra day from home which has helped me with doc appointments and the added stimulation and responsibility has kept me sane. Definitely apply! As Sheryl Sandberg could say, lean in - don't step away from your career because you're planning a baby in the future! Very very good luck.

sk1pper · 11/10/2016 17:59

Okay I'm gonna go super saiyan mode and go for it. Grin

In other TMI news, my CM looks disgustingly perfect for DTD. Going to try and tempt my OH today as have officially hit the fertile window.

Anyone else in fertile window? Need to know who I've got for company in the 2ww.

LondonJem · 11/10/2016 18:19

Hugs Margo bfns suck, it's soooo early though so totally ignore it

Wanting I wouldn't worry too much, so much of the stuff gets up there I'm sure plenty make it past any potential lube still present

Alexia no mention of debris, hmm wonder what that is? How did you DH feel about the results? SAs hold a lot over them emotionally I think

Hurrah for applying for the job skipper

No sign of AF yet, am literally bracing myself every time I go to the loo. Would rather it just hurries up and gets on with it so I can have a good sob then pick myself back up. The last few days of the TWW ABSOLUTELY KILL ME was back to crying on the bus this morning I thought I had nipped that in the bud!

Just stumbled across this thread and it actually made me feel a tiny bit better about not being pregnant yet

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/2731884-I-hate-having-kids

Warning - it's all complaints about how hard having children is, so it might also make you angry if you are feeling sensitive today
