Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

alice I thought this was your new PMA 'it took us 11 cycles but we got there in the end' Smile I hope you can copy this word for word in a week or so

alexia I feel so manipulative Blush poor DH doesn't stand a chance

Oh skip what a nightmare I hope you're alright. Any sign of blood finishing?

AlexiaB · 27/09/2016 14:50

Hep I think it was purple? Rightful owner please stand upGrin

Welcome all newbies! This thread is so busy now I love it!

Jem lol I would feel proud and obviously a little manipulative too. If you don't have control over your DH then is he really your DH?Wink I've told mine he's not going to his cousin's wedding in his home country in November because a. I don't want to go b. I assumed I'd be upduffed by now and wouldn't be able to fly anyway and c. Just in case it's FW. Mine happily does what I say and I love him so much! Grin

AlexiaB · 27/09/2016 14:53

How could I forget Skip... Gosh reading your post earlier made me tear up a little. What a time of it you're havingSad I hope you're feeling 'normal' very soon. And you haven't been selfish at all. Hugs & Flowers

Nicky883 · 27/09/2016 15:14

Gp appoitment booked (one month from now )!
If i do need to go through ivf or something i will be probably looking at doing it privetely in another country !
If i have to wait a month for a "consultation" i cant imagine how long i ll have to wait for anything else !

SnarkyGorgon · 27/09/2016 15:32

Oh Lordy, I'm so sorry I missed you out Skip sounds absolutely hideous Flowers

I did have a chat with her Hep though still feel guilty. She and my dad had real problems when they were TTC (8 mcs in 5 years), so she understands, but I don't want to open up old wounds.

MouseLove · 27/09/2016 16:12

Hep!! Thanks for the explanation.... yep, lots of that please hahahaha.

But in all seriousness, this constant belly ache is doing my nut in, did I dream I shouldn't take ibuprofen while TTC? I am so bloated it's becoming a little uncomfortable and I feel completely in limbo. Come on AF either show up or ship out!

HepKestrel · 27/09/2016 16:18

mouse paracetamol is safe.

I know you shouldn't use ibuprofen and aspirin during pregnancy. I was forcing my self to eat a lot of all-bran when i was bloated (bleurgh)

Tinkerbell2319 · 27/09/2016 16:26

Hi :)

Age: 24
TTC #1
Cycle 1 (officially, prior was just "wait and see for 2 months with no results)
Cd: 15
AF: unsure as cycles have been irregular lately, somewhere between 12-15th oct

FXSkip · 27/09/2016 16:53

hi all - welcome back snarky and I am sorry to hear you've had a rough time. You guys are all so nice, and I'm just sitting here tearing up and I don't know whether to feel despondent or positive, or to go back on BCP or to go in and demand a d&c. I never had a follow up hep - not a peep from anyone (except when I got the reminder to go for my 12 week scan)

I can't actually believe I'm the oldest member here Sad I feel like my life has just fallen apart.

Mouse I think I had the same when I came off BCP - I was on Marvelon and I had this feeling for about 6 weeks. I convinced myself I was pg immediately and wasted about £50 on FRERs.

MrsLoz · 27/09/2016 17:18

Thanks for the new thread.

Cycle 2
CD15

Was convinced I was going to get my BFP first cycle after symptom spotting but of course that wasn't going to happen!

I've been in FW since Saturday according to Ovia. Been too busy/tired to DTD over the weekend which is annoying, made up for it last night though. Had EWCM today so hopefully not missed the boat and just need to make up for it over next couple of days!

Spreading lots of good luck for this new thread Flowers

Musicgrrl · 27/09/2016 17:31

Loving the new thread!

Stats:
31
TTC #1
Cycle 4, soon to be 5
CD 33 and 8 DPO

Have short luteal phase so expecting AF tomorrow/Thursday. If AF arrives Thursday I'd have lengthened my LP by 1 day which would be something to be happy about at least!

Binkybunny13 · 27/09/2016 17:38

Thanks for the new thread Alice- thought I'd lost you all then found you here Smile

Sorry that some are having such a rough time Brew Really hope that everyone gets their BFP soon, and that some rainbow babies arrive in 2017 for those who have had the agony of a MC. This whole TTC malarkey is such a bitch; I know I've not been here long but have found you all to be so supportive already- thank you.

My stats are:
Binky aged 31
TTC#1
Cycle 3
CD8
Test/ bitch due 20th

Trying to regain a PMA after thinking I'd won last cycle, then AF turning up a week early (and teasing me with spotting initially so I though it was IB). Am ready to attack this FW (poor DH!) Also found a box of EPO the other day that I bought on a whim last year so am trying that this cycle to see whether it brings any luck.

Had 2 baby bombs in space of an hour last night and swear the tv knows I'm TTC and is taunting me with adverts for baby formula etc...

LSFX all! ~~~o

MouseLove · 27/09/2016 18:10

Thanks Hap will get some paracetamol.

Oh FxSkip there's no mistaking this for anything other than AF pain. I just wish she would rear her ugly head and then I can get to it hahaha!!! My back is killing me today SadAngry

LoveYouTilTheEnd · 27/09/2016 18:10

Lovely new thread alice

Sorry for such a crap day skip

So we're on month 19 at the start of October, not quite sure how many cycles now
Age 29
TTC#1
Been for day 3 blood tests, day 21s booked and DH SA is booked too so at least we're getting somewhere. Quite a helpful doctor though so feeling positive for now!

LSFX for this month for everyone

InspectorPenguin · 27/09/2016 18:28

Hello everyone.

My stats:
Age: 35 (for a limited time only)
TTC: #1 (as the thread title implies)
Cycle: 7

Had a positive OPK yesterday so am hopefully 0 or 1 DPO. No other signs of Ovulation though... No EWCM at all, no twinges, nothing.

Saw a GP at six months and got precisely nowhere; told to come back after a year despite my age. Might get private tests done if no joy by Christmas just to speed up any necessary action.

Despite the above I'm pretty relaxed about it all as DP and I have plenty of things on our bucket list if we can't have kids, and I like my easy independent life quite a lot as it is!

Wishing those of you having a hard time much success and happiness in the very near future. I would LOVE to see some good news from you soon. Some of you have gone through so much, it sounds utterly heartbreaking :(

Let's spread legs and cross fingers for lucky thread #19 Star Star Star

AliceScarlett · 27/09/2016 19:01

Good to see everyone. I reckon at least a quarter of us are going to be up-diffed before thread 20. PMA. PMA.

OP posts:
Musicgrrl · 27/09/2016 19:03

I agree Alice - it's just statistics surely!!

sk1pper · 27/09/2016 19:32

Alice - your DH is now well trained in the art of baby making. Enjoy your time off, what's your new job?

skip - there's no dancing around that, it sounds absolutely horrendous. Why oh why does this kind of thing happen when we're not in the comfort of our own homes? I hope you are feeling a bit better now, I was going to say have a nice bath tonight but just seen you got a baby shower to go to.

I'm super excited, I've got my appointment booked in to see my GP and OH has managed to get the time off to come along too. He's also fully signed up to the surgery now (after a huge amount of pressure from me on the phone this morning - apparently he'd become inactive because he hadn't been in five years). It's on the 13th October, I've asked for a different Doctor as the last one told me to come back in 12 months! And I'm not leaving until they agree to start doing tests. Can someone let me know what the very first tests will be? Is it blood tests? I'm just going to go in there and tell them exactly what I want them to do this time.

Musicgrrl · 27/09/2016 20:16

You go sk1pper! Afraid I don't know what tests there are - haven't braved the docs yet. Will be really interested to hear how you get on. Good that OH is onboard with it all.

purpleladybird · 27/09/2016 20:42

I'm purple
32
TTC #1
Cycle 7

Was on a break from trying but realised not preventing whilst pissing on every stick possible and trying to entice OH on 'smiley days' is the same as trying. So I'm back on board ready to go as soon as I get AF out of the way.

I'm also the proud author of LSFX (thanks Alexia)

So far only used OPKs but may temp next month. Checking out CM confuses me. I used to think it was a kind of sweat.

LoveYouTilTheEnd · 27/09/2016 23:36

sk1pper the first tests for us were blood tests and they fit that round your cycle. So there's a fair few they do in one go between days 2-4 which checks hormone levels etc (I remember progesterone being one but can't remember the others), then day 21 is another. These can apparently tell you if you're ovulating or hormone levels are off (my opk's didn't come back positive at all last month and nothing so far this month but bloods so far are all normal).

She also referred DH for SA. The letter actually came through pretty quickly. She said once we have these results, if still nothing showing too low/high then she's happy to refer. I don't know what that will entail though Confused

Notyetthere · 28/09/2016 00:31

May I join?

I am liking this thread as it is a tmi territory. I like tmi. Having gone through a mc, I am ready to read it all. Here is to hoping thread 19 brings us glittery bfps.

My stats are:
Notyet aged 32 (33 in Jan 17)

Binky aged 31

TTC#1

Cycle? - not sure yet as I mc on Friday CD6 going by mc date. I don't think it works like as hormones all over the place but I have to have a starting point. Pre-mc I had cycles averaging 29 days.

Test/ bitch due ? - Not sure yet. Until I test for a positive ovulation date ( which is proving to be confusing what with the small amount of hcg knocking a bout in my system

Mooseville · 28/09/2016 05:39

Moose
Hopefully have just conceived #1
Was cycle 11
We DTD on cd 10, 14 and 15 with positive opks on cd 14/15.

Still currently in a state of disbelief, still no sore boobs, (don't trust the boobs!) Have tried to avoid testing everyday and just go with the flow.... still lurking here until it is definitely real! (And I want you all to join me)

skip hope you're ok Flowers

jem hope you've managed to have a good evening with your DH - LSFX

sk1pper · 28/09/2016 06:56

LoveYou - awesome thank you, good luck for the results. I'd be interested to hear how you get on, I sense my OH is nervous about the SA but I'm not sure if that's because he's worried about the result or worried about what it entails

notyet - welcome xx sorry to hear about your MC :(

Musicgrrl · 28/09/2016 06:58

Moose you're up early! Glad everything is okay with you and I completely understand the disbelief!

Jem how was your evening? We watched Stranger Things last night too!
