Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We like it when the grads stick around. No question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

I understand more now. I don't know how I missed the bloody box on the rightBlush

His motility seems good at 56% but I was expecting a bigger count than 74.8m. His morph/normal forms is actually really low at 5%. It's meant to be anywhere from 4-44% so he barely scraped into normal levels :( fuck!

AlexiaB · 10/10/2016 16:03

Congrats Mabel!!

Congrats mabel! Had you been trying long?

Alexia they look good to me. 75m is plenty, forward motility good and 5% morphology is absolutely fine. They say normal is 4% and no one has the higher range as the criteria has got so strict. I'll see if I can dig out some of the stuff I've read about morphology - some experts discount it's importance at all - which I am hanging onto as my DH got 2% morphology.

LondonJem · 10/10/2016 16:13

Welcome Eva Smile

MabelTheCow · 10/10/2016 16:40

Thank you so much Blush

It was only our first cycle but I've spent 6 months + trying to prepare my body (no hormonal contraception, exercising, eating right, folic acid...) and clearly most of it was just sheer luck.

I solemnly swear not to turn into a smug pregnant person though.

Pugmummy87 · 10/10/2016 16:49

Have GP appt next week on the 19th. Really hoping they won't try and fob me off.

Excellent news on your DH's SA Alexia

Musicgrrl · 10/10/2016 16:51

Wow Mabel, that's amazing! Congratulations. Were you tacking ovulation and everything? What was your dtd rate over your fertile window if you don't mind me asking?

I've got a bit behind on the thread but someone was asking about the implant. I got mine out at the end of April and my cycles haven't got back to anything regular yet. They have been 61, 35, 28 and 44 days so far! I had random irregular bleeding while implant was in and had two of them over six years. I don't actually remember what my cycles were like before all that!

Thanks to everyone for the lovely wishes in reaction to AF, you're very kind.

Pugmummy87 · 10/10/2016 16:51

Oh and just seen your news Mabel congrats!

sk1pper · 10/10/2016 17:13

Pug - what are you seeing the GP for? I'm in a similar situ this week, always have bad experiences at this particular surgery. I've scripted out everything I want to say and got my only friend who knows I'm TTC to amend and clarify. Pretty sad I have to even think to do this.

AlexiaB · 10/10/2016 17:42

Thanks all Smile Jem that's reassuring! Would love to read some of the stuff you've found.

Overall I'm relieved because I know it could have been a lot worse. I was also really worried that smoking would majorly affect his results I still want him to quit asap! He abstained for 84 hours in total we calculated, and he's convinced that because the whole situation was so unnatural he didn't 'cum fully'.

kavanaughkj · 10/10/2016 17:44

Many congrats Mabel! Flowers

It's been a swings and roundabouts day here today. AF was due yesterday and didn't show up (I'm usually accurate to the day) - so I got up this morning, again, no AF - took a pregnancy test - BFN - and my period promptly started at. that. moment.

AF is a bitch. Angry Onward to cycle 11.

I'm still happy though - DH got a job today after 5 months unemployment so this means I can pop a cork to celebrate - and might finally be able to relax enough to get pg in future!!! Grin

LondonJem · 10/10/2016 17:49

Skipper me too Sad it's hard accepting you need help. It's not how you envisage trying for a baby. My GP appointment is 20 October, we can compare notes afterwards

That's great Mabel I think you're right about luck - I too am a healthy eater, take vits exercise regularly and haven't been on hormonal contraceptives for about 6 years - and ten months later still nada. Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy.

Alexia my DH said that too. I'm sure I read something about them releasing a higher volume of spunk when they are turned on. I'll see if I can find this specialists blog post...

Congrats on new job mrkav

sk1pper · 10/10/2016 18:07

london - well I'll be more than happy to share my experience, mines this Thursday. I got my text alert this morning and it's with the Doctor who was exceptionally rude to me 2 years ago when I had to see a GP for stress. To be fair though, after looking down her nose at me for the entire session, she did ask me what I wanted her to do so that would be ideal this time as I'll actually have an answer for her.

harrietm87 · 10/10/2016 18:09

Congrats Mabel and hello everyone else!

I just discovered something great - ovia has a feature where you can export all the data it has on you to a spreadsheet and it emails it to you. On the cycle insights part you can only see a few cycles back so I thought it had lost the rest!

I started using it in July 2015 so have loads of data. Kind of surprised to see that my cycle is never the same length: 28, 32, 33, 32, 31, 35 (chemical preg), 33, 31, 28, 34, 28, 29, 30 - this kind of variation is normal right?

harrietm87 · 10/10/2016 18:10

Oops sorry for the double post!

MouseLove · 10/10/2016 18:19

Congrats Mabel!! That's fab news. Can you come rub up on us all for a little bit so we can steal some good luck hahaha

Harriet I'm pretty sure that's totally normal. How cool you have all that data!! Definitely an advantage!!

sk1pper · 10/10/2016 18:27

harriet - I wouldn't worry about the odd cycles, I'm 26-28 normally, last cycle was 24 because I induced it earlier by accident with raspberry leaf tea. Slight changes in diet, sleeping pattern has a natural impact on cycle length.

sk1pper · 10/10/2016 18:29

Oh, also normally your luteal phase will stay exactly the same length. It's your ovulation day that screws the cycle up. So normally always easy to predict when AF is due if you know previous ovulation day and luteal phase length

AlexiaB · 10/10/2016 18:37

Jem the only thing is I think my DH's vol was high at 4.40. What was yours? Okay thanks!

Harriet great you have all that data, I think yours looks good! Mine was fine before I started ttc which is very annoying -
28, 31, 27, 30, 31, 30, 31, 32, 34, 39 (high stress) 39, 34, 34, 34, 36(started ttc), 35, 43(CP), 39, 33, 29, 25, 32, 38, 36, 42, 35, 33, 58(mc), 26, 45

Stress really affects my cycles!

Pugmummy87 · 10/10/2016 19:22

Skipper I'm going because it's now been a year and no luck. I'm also concerned that we've been using no contraception for nearly 6 years and i've never had a bfp. Plus having damn pcos, I'm worried I'm completely barren.

My cycle length varies so much it's ridiculous. 26-60 days over the past 13 months.

Musicgrrl · 10/10/2016 19:33

sk1pper my luteal phase has been 5, 8 and 19 days for my last three cycles!! So doesn't always stay the same or even around the 14 day mark Confused

kwick · 10/10/2016 19:43

OMG another epic thread to read!

Mouse I am so sorry about your Auntie Flowers how awful.

sk1pper sorry you are out of sorts. Hope Dr will shed some light.

Welcome eva!!

Congratulations mabel!!! StarStarStar
