Thought that I would start a March thread as from tomorrow I will no longer be eligible for the February thread. Of course I will be lurking and keeping fingers crossed for those still in with a shout... but it's time to move on.

Another novice to add to the fold, I am presuming that CD means cycle day. That being the case mine is a very miserable CD1. Hence the lovely glass of red I am holding.

And just to be a copycat I didn't buy an ov kit but did price them up while shopping in Tesco this aft.

Know what you mean about days from hell, going into work every morning asking if the mountain the work was actually in a dream, not such luck!

Then to top it all went to the hairdressers this afternoon to be told by the very nice young girl that she it two months pregnant.
Maybe I should have hugged her tummy and grabbed some of that baby dust.

God,moan, moan, moan. Sorry!

On a brighter note, DP has just put DS to bed, set the table with candles (aahhh) and is about to serve the dinner he has cooked. I am so pampered and I love it.

well,heres my bad day.i am SO hormonal (havent long had my coil out and am having AF) and havent smoked since saturday....ggrrr!on the other hand im very i have stopped

then i went into uni and found that my presentation group had messed up our folder which had to be in by 4pm-muggins here had to do that. i got about 7mins to eat a manky tuna roll all day! rushed home, picked up kids from nursery/after school club and havent long sat down!

im doing NOTHING all day tomorrow, and thats a fact!

Gillian, I got some OV sticks from boots (the pink packets??) on offer??? It says to hold the stick in the stream, but I was thinking of peeing into a pot and dipping. Do you think that will be ok??

in a book i have, for a ds it says:

no intercourse for 3-4 days before calculated ov date

no hot tubs, baths or briefs for man for a week before ov

have intercourse one time only on ov date

women orgasm before man

do it doggy style, baby!!

man to drink coffee 2 hrs before ejaculation

female lie still for 20 mins after sex

no artifical lube

my book also says about temp testing: use a basal body temp thermometer. measure at same time each morning record for 2 months.

Hi Ready, I am new to this OV stick thing but I think that peeing in a pot would be a good idea. I am always convinced I'll splash the window and ruin the thing. Yes, they are the Boots pink ones. I made sure I bought them with my double points voucher so at least I get points for the expense!!

I think I'll start testing on Saturday (CD9) as i am on a 25-26 days cycle - what about you?

Yes, Ready, always long cycles since contraceptive injection at 16, never been normal!!!

Oh well, less on sanitary products I guess, always a silver lining..

Considered getting those ov tests, does anyone swear by them? I'm gonna try listening to my body (for once) and see cm for the next coupla months.

Never used the sticks before, it's really just to confirm what my temps show. So couldn't say I swear by them... I'll let you know. I think you are right to listen to your body for a bit.

Gillian, Agreed about splashing the window ... I have been charting my temp for a few months now, so I have a pretty good idea when I ovulate, so I will start using the sticks on CD11 (OV falls on CD15 usually)...

Scorpio1, glad you are feeling calmer. Rant any time you like though

Ready, the next question - at what time of day are you planning to test with the sticks? It says its best between 10am and 8pm. I don't want to be doing it at work so I guess I'll have to stick to about 6pm?
I haven't been temping just going through what the middle of my cycle is and guessing that's when I ovulate.

CD7 for me today. First month trying agnus castus and it seems to make me a tad agressive

Accupunture again tomorrow. Hoping either or both will make my cycles shorted and more regular?

hi loopy - dh and i doing same thing we started before af returned as i was bf - we decided to bd every 2 days for best chance, had first af on 14th Jan so fingers crossed am ovulating now as was told bf can suppress ovulation
