Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

kwick Angry AngryAngry

mam Grin🐈

ScottishLady7 · 23/09/2016 08:34

Oh no kwick the injustice of having that horrible itch at the same time as AF doesn't seem fair. Extra Cake for you!

How did you get on corgi? I might POAS this morning too, you know, just for fun Hmm At least if it is a BFN I can have a glass of wine at the family meal tonight. Since getting married last year they are all on high alert for pregnancy signs from me I think! GX to you Grin

kwick · 23/09/2016 14:08

Viroids I feel like we need a boost in PMA... Here is my "putting out to tge universe" for today:
Dear lovely universe
Please make sure my tube is clear when I have the Hycosy on 3 October
Please can you make sure my dear eggs are of an amazeballs quality
Please bring me juicy fertility so that I am pregnant before Christmas
Much obliged oh wonderful Universe
Kwick

Hobbit19 · 23/09/2016 22:43

Ah Kwick, how exhausting this whole process must be for you - you do have amazing PMA though!

Angel, sorry that you are a bit shell shocked - what are you next steps?

Excellent news Mamu you kitten!

Corgi I continue to keep all of the things crossed for you.

I haven't posted much as I have felt a little fraudulent being on here with my dormant ovaries..... but I had EWCM the last couple of days, and what I think is ov pain this eve. Woo! However, I got about 3 hours sleep last night, having a stinking cold and can't quite remember when I last had a shower..... so the cape will not be getting donned until P's nap time tomorrow morning - before which o shall take the paracetamol and have a wash and everything. Oh the romance! Will I still be in with a (one shot!) chance?

kwick · 24/09/2016 08:15

pud LSGX!!!!!! Enjoy your chukka-chukka!!!

Fleurchamp · 24/09/2016 09:57

Sorry the witch got you kwick she got me too - on CD37. What.da.fuck is going on?!?

Have Dr's appointment booked for next week with the loveliest gp at my surgery.

Sorry for bad news angel but at least you are on the path now? I don't know how I feel about IVF either. That's the tough thing, you don't know whether you can have a baby until you decide you really want one....

Congrats mamu not jealous at all. Oh no Grin

kwick · 24/09/2016 11:42

Well fleur in my case it was likely that the embryo was not chromosonally right hence why it did not implant. Onwards and upwards. Hycosy is my next step.

corgi88 · 24/09/2016 13:25

Hahahaha pud! Good luck!
Bfn yesterday and today so pretty sure AF is turning up soon. Pretty low and weepy too, mood all over the place. Think I'll be going to GP for a referral if nothing has happened by the New year - feels better having a plan. Scottish hope you have fared better?
Kwick sorry about af but loving the pma!

Hobbit19 · 24/09/2016 19:03

Meh. I felt grim this morning so the (possible) egg has been wasted. Hopefully I will get AF in a couple of weeks to confirm that I'm icing and we can try again next cycle.
Sorry that you are feeling down Corgi. Totally understandable though.

kwick · 24/09/2016 19:37

pud you still are in with a chance... Get those legs spread!!

kwick · 24/09/2016 19:43

pud you still are in with a chance... Get those legs spread!!

MabelTheCow · 25/09/2016 23:20

Can I join in please?

I'm 35, on my first cycle ttc #1 and just entering the dreaded 2WW.
OH managed to get some sort of tooth/gum infection that left him a mess and not up for eating let alone anything else for most of FW Sad
Trying not to put too much pressure on either of us but got myself into a bit of a state waiting for icing, not holding out a lot of hope for a tear free 2WW.

kwick · 26/09/2016 04:48

Welcome mabel!

Fleurchamp · 26/09/2016 09:28

Welcome mabel

Will have to google that procedure kwick not at all familiar with it.

Pregnancy announcement bomb this morning from a nct friend. She's the one I am closest too and we each knew the other was ttc. She sent me a message as we are meeting later with a couple of others.

Fuck. It hurts. Never had this happen before. I am happy for her, of course, but feel sorry for myself. Kind of hoped we would be pregnant together.

This is the last month to conceive so as to have a 2yr age gap or less (my initial aim which seems ridiculous now!)

corgi88 · 26/09/2016 10:05

Welcome Mabel! Don't worry we are good at hand holding during the TWOT!
I hate baby bombs Fleur. Hope you're ok.
Af is here.... On second cycle with mooncup and I do love it....

TabbyTurmoil · 26/09/2016 11:17

Morning viroids!

Congrats mamu!

Flowers kwick, sorry the hag got you, I'm amazed by your pma and dedication to creating the perfect (milk-infused) conditions, I learned a lot from your posts!

angel hope you're feeling better now thongs have sunk in a bit? I can only imagine how crap it must be but hope your clinic can formulate a plan you will feel positive about.

chat how many weeks are you now? Hope all is well.

(((fleur))) Sounds like she tried to be sensitive at least? (Straw clutching!) I worry about age gap too but I do think it's worth trying to let go of that as much as you can, any gap has pros and cons and (all being well, no tempting fate) you'll end up with just the right little baby for you.

Welcome mabel, I can understand why your DP might have struggled on the cape wearing front (do miroids wear capes or just us bunch?) with that going on - if no joy this month consider it information gathering?

I'm in my first 2ww, had some nice cape closeness with DH on holiday and currently don't think I'll be too devastated if I have an excuse to get my cape on again next month (I'm sure I'll have a different story to tell in 10 days time Wink).

I was offered a new job but it would have meant putting ttc on hold for 6 months to get enhanced maternity and I don't feel I can do that (although I'm actually 37 not 38 as I said in my stats Blush) so I'm stuck here feeling demotivated for now.

Fleurchamp · 26/09/2016 13:01

Thanks tabby I have taken my frustration out on Amazon and ordered allllll the opks and ics.

I always think you shouldn't put your life on hold to ttc - so if you want the job then go for it (but can totally understand why you wouldn't).

I am actually getting a bit sick of cape donning at a particular time of the month and it always seems to coincide with someone staying.... Aargh.

angelazul · 26/09/2016 18:29

Pud sounds promising that you're icing now - yay!!!

Corgi sorry the witch got you Wine Chocolate Going to the GP & having a plan will hopefully put your mind at ease a bit.

Fleur we've all been there, I think it's quite natural when you want something so badly, but it will happen for you.

Welcome Mabel gx you're not stuck here too long.

So I'm just back from a lovely long weekend in London visiting the in-laws. Was so good to get away from everything for a bit, but SIL dropped the bombshell that she's pg - she's just married & fell 1st cycle. Not a bit jealous or bitter at all of course. AF arrived yesterday too, but I managed to hold it all together I think.

We've done a bit of research on sperm antibodies - apparently if they're not too high it's possible to still conceive naturally, although it will take longer. So hubby is going to ring GP tomorrow to check just how high his levels are. At our appt, the consultant suggested icsi, and he said that the antibody levels were quite high, but then he also wants to check my tubes, which surely would be pointless if we need to have isci Confused Confused

ChatEnOeuf · 26/09/2016 18:29

Urgh, Fleur, baby bombs are the worst. Even if you're happy for them.

Welcome, Mabel :)

Tabby, I'm 11w now - I'd love to say it's flying, but it really isn't! I agree with Fleur, in that delaying TTC for work is understandable, but not my ideal. I'd always ending up grumbling and wondering about 'what might have been' if it then takes 6m+ to conceive. But I'm a bit of a pessimist in that regard.
