Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Thank you all for the warm welcome Smile

Fleur Flowers Chocolate baby bombs suck ... at least she tried to be thoughtful and gx, you will baby bomb someone else with your news soon.

corgi Sorry about AF ... I'm still a little grossed out by the moon cup; maybe it's a sign I'm not actually ready for motherhood and to deal with someone else's bodily fluids.

Went to see a friend today who is 33 weeks with #3. Really surprised that she was 6 months trying for #1 and #2. Trying to convince myself long waits are much more normal than my mother (mrs you will get pregnant if you even think about unprotected sex) would have me believe.

ScottishLady7 · 27/09/2016 19:43

Welcome Mabel!

Sorry the witch got you corgi CakeFlowers
Sorry about the baby bomb Fleur, it is so hard at times but it doesn't reduce your chances of conceiving! Still shit though. Flowers

AF is currently a day or two late... BFNs so far. DH thinks I'm testing too much but I did point out that I only tested from the day I though my period was due and so it was actually ok... Hmm

Still feeling hopeful but not expecting anything other than AF to show up during my night shift as she did last month. Hopefully this time she won't show up during a resuscitation BlushConfused

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 27/09/2016 21:45

Dipped in for a lurk and spied chats bfp! Holy guacamole! Amazing news!

So many of you trying again... DD2 is 6 months old and teething (i think) and I want another already... not trying yet though!

Good luck shaggers!!!!

cookielove · 28/09/2016 08:22

Sooooooo I am not really ttc till in the new year, but joined earlier as I you lot will keep me sane until I can ttc. I love the anticipation of it all Blush

Any who we are using ovia to track when I am fertile and in theory avoid dtd then but we dtd last night accidentally right in my fertile window as I didn't upload my period data and we thought we were low! So now I am all eek!!

So yeah that's my news Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 28/09/2016 08:27

Hi Cookie and Sky! Great to see you both back here :)

Hope she stays away from the resus bay Scottish, that kind of performance is just plain rude.

coribeth · 28/09/2016 22:19

Right having reviewed my med ins I noticed that I'm covered for acupuncture so thought why not have booked my first five days but first available appt was 22nd Nov hope that means there good! GrinConfusedHmm

angelazul · 29/09/2016 08:12

Scottish fx the witch knows where she's not welcome & stays away.

Cori glad you've decided to give acupuncture a go, it's helped me so much. I'd say a long waiting list is a sign they're good, fx they're worth the wait.

Hubby rang GPs surgery yesterday & the nurse gave him his antibody levels, but she ddin't even know if they were % levels so we're still none the wiser. I had a good chat about it with my acupuncture lady & she's known lots of couples with the same problem who haven't needed treatment - she's pretty confident I can still conceive naturally, or at the most need IUI (which I can totally deal with). Apparently it's a "joint effort" so even if hubby's swimmers aren't great, if my ewcm is really (which thankfully it has been), it can still help get the sperm to where they need to be. Just to be on the safe side, I've ordered some Yes Baby to help things on there way Wink I'm feeling a bit more positive about things now, we're still in the game & I'm back in the saddle Grin

ScottishLady7 · 29/09/2016 11:08

Thanks for your positive thoughts angel and chat!

Unfortunately AF turned up yesterday morning just before the end of my shift. I had allowed myself to get carried away and convinced myself I was upduffed- feel a bit like a fool now. A very close friend then gave birth later on in the day to a very much longed for baby and while I am ecstatic for her and her man, I do find myself wondering if we'll ever get there. To top it all off I got a pregnancy bombed this morning by a friend who knew we were ttc and who must've fallen pg straight away after starting to try. I am so happy for her but can't help feel a bit deflated about our fruitless efforts.

Oh, woe is me, someone give me a slap please! Where's kwick with her pmas?

ScottishLady7 · 29/09/2016 11:12

angel I'm so pleased to see how positive you are feeling about things- sounds like you are making steps in the right direction, armed with more knowledge about yourselves. If you ignore my last post, I have actually found having the info from tests etc to be quite freeing- takes some of the worries away! Also, what's "Yes Baby"?

kwick · 29/09/2016 13:28

fleur A Hycosy is when they flush dye through your tubes to make sure they are clear. Mine is on monday.
Sorry about baby bomb Sad

Ooops sorry scottish I am in Germany this week with hardly any free time!!!

PMA coming up:
I am a lovely fertile viroid
I am juicy and will get pregnant very soon
I am grateful for all the light shining on me and for this wonderful viroid community

angelazul · 29/09/2016 14:46

Scottish sorry the witch got you WineChocolate. Don't be down on yourself, we've all been there, getting our hopes up. Yes Baby is a sperm friendly lubricant, a bit like Preseed & Conceive Plus. Apparently it mimics your own ewcm & has some nutrients that help the sperm on their journey. All the others seem to have parabens in them, which I'm allergic to, but this one is organic so I thought it'd be worth a go. Every little helps after all Wink Feeling like I'm doing something proactive def helps me.

On the subject of baby bombs, I described it to a friend as the knife already being stuck in, but now it's being twisted. For me it depends on my frame of mind - if I'm feeling positive I'm fine with them, but if I'm already feeling down they're a killer, esp when you're not expecting them.

Kwick thanks as always for the pmas, totally what is needed right now Grin

TabbyTurmoil · 29/09/2016 15:35

Flowers scottish the witch is such a bummer.

kwick good luck with hycosy, may it render your womb (even more especially) inviting!

angel that all sounds very positive and proactive. Hope the Yes Baby gives the little guys the boost they need.

chat and fleur I do feel like life is on hold and it's not good, so I know exactly what you mean, but six months just feels way too long to put it on hold, both with my age and with age gap - three months to work my notice I could handle, but I'd then need to be in post another 3 months for maternity pay and then if it never happened I think I'd drown myself in a big vat of "what if"s.

Ion, I am symptom spotting like a mad woman. SOMEBODY STOP ME!!! Who else is twotting?

Fleurchamp · 29/09/2016 20:15

angel it sounds like things are moving in the right direction. I am tempted by acupuncture - just to help to chill me out if nothing else.

Sorry for all the bombs scottish I keep telling myself that there are not a limited number of babies to go round... Someone else getting upduffed doesn't affect me (just the green eyed monster inside me).

kwick I wasted spent some time with dr Google after your post. Interesting stuff and the procedure itself could flush out any blockages. Good luck with that and keep repeating "I am juicy and ripe" Grin

I went to my gp about my ERTD issues. She is just so lovely. Have a blood test to get, some drugs to help stop the heaviness and a scan requested to have a look at my fibroids. We discussed ttc but as we haven't been trying for 6 months it isn't considered a problem yet but she did say she would be able to send us for some tests. Feeling much more positive Smile

Hobbit19 · 29/09/2016 23:06

Ooh, that's good Fleur!

Kwick, your fallopian tubes are now a lovely shade of purple in my mind!

I think (symptom spots madly), that AF may finally be on her way, I have that 'heavy' feeling. That could be the massive piece of cake I had though. I have had some spotting too but I'm not sure of that is pre AF or my broken fanjo... Hmm

kwick · 30/09/2016 21:06

That is good news fleur!

Why purple pud? Happens to be my fav colour Grin

Had a bit of a dip earlier - I would have been 7 months preggerd roundabout now Sad oh well

Did I tell you about my random itchiness? Palms, bit on arms, bits on legs, soles of feet, feet, fingers, under boobage. Feet have now got bite marks on them... any views in what could be going on (fleas, bed bugs, the plague??? Confused).... look away now if you do not want to see bite marks...

TabbyTurmoil · 30/09/2016 21:21

Oh kwick Flowers

They look like they could be flea bites - I've never had bed bug bites but they're supposed to be in rows. Do you have pets? You'd probably see fleas if you had them the horrible little fuckers

justtheonethen · 30/09/2016 22:08

Definitely look like fleas kwick, assume you have a pet? Wash everything hot, sprinkle that flea powder on carpet and anywhere pet goes and get to work with the flea treatment and combing. Top tip, dip comb in hot water after each brush to drown the cunts.
If you don't have a pet then ignore all that! It's not bed bugs, I had them in Fiji and they are tiny bin raised bites in rows.

Anyhoo, hello all. Sorry been quiet, been mental at work and losing myself in other people's Pinterest weddings Smile

Annoyed with FC as they want to check progesterone again before I go on IVF list which is fine, told to come back in a month. Next available appointment is in December Angry. Also not sure why they are rechecking that and not DPs jizz, surely that's more likely to change but I don't know, maybe progesterone dips with age?! It was fine a year ago though.

Met my old js cycle buddy and her family at the weekend, was awesome Smile.

Had a really sad day, had to put my cat to sleep, I'm devastated. I'm so sad, he was my best pal. Sad

angelazul · 01/10/2016 08:15

Just so sorry to hear about your cat my dear. We had to put my dog to sleep a couple of years ago just before our wedding, it was totally devastating. Take care of yourself FlowersFlowersFlowers

Kwick no idea what those marks are, but channelling some pma for you!!

Fleur acupuncture is sooo relaxing. I think I might be a bit addicted to it actually.

kwick · 01/10/2016 12:56

The only animal I have at home is Stitch Tabby but my upstairs neighbour has a dog - maybe I picked from carpet outside front door? Confused
My cousin, who has had bed bugs, reckons it looks likely... I REALLY hope she is wrong as they are very hard to get rid of and the amount I travel I have infected a lot of places!!!

just much love and many hugs. So sorry to hear about your cat Flowers

Thanks angel

Hobbit19 · 01/10/2016 13:13

No Just! That is so sad! I'm so so sorry about your cat. Sad

TabbyTurmoil · 01/10/2016 15:13

just lots of love to you, it's so hard losing a furry member of the family x

kwick have you checked your mattress and the area round your bed for bedbug signs? I got bitten on the feet and ankles a few times this summer (including while I was in bed one night) and had a mini freak out but it was just my old enemy the flea (DM had a really bad infestation once after we came home from a holiday (I was little) and I'm still a bit phobic).

CountryGal4 · 01/10/2016 17:42

So sorry about just cat Sad

coribeth · 02/10/2016 00:20

just SadFlowers sorry about your cat it's so devastating when you have to say goodbye to a pet xx

kwick · 02/10/2016 11:45

I have not checked my mattress - was only at home for one night. I think I have flea bites and something else... hopefully not scabies!!! Will try and get a drs appointment... but not around much again this week...

ZylaB · 02/10/2016 18:11

Catching up.
So sorry about your cat just :(
kwick AF really is a bitchy witch, I so hope things work for you this time around.

We are back from holiday with confusing naughty stick results. My ic sticks showed really strong icing positive on cd 14, the expensive CB monitor never showed more than high, so it didn't pick up a peak of hormones. This happened last month too, so I'm not sure I'm ovulating. But I might be, so am in the twot if I did ice.
Gx, fx, everything crossed!

Also going back to sw after 3 weeks off and I've put so much weight on whilst away lol
