Morning - definitely in too good a mood this morning for the hut - not sure why the good mood, but not going to question it while it lasts!!

Anyway, 37.83 this morning, so up a little from yesterday. 11 DPO (well 11 days high temps - when do you count ov from, the day before temp rise or the day of temp rise?)

speak later

A potted history of Fettle's cycle just for Greedy!

Always been pretty irregular, since they started when I was 11. Never really took much notice of cycles back then, but I would say probably every 2-3 months, if that!

Went on the pill in late teens to deal with cycle problems (2 wk periods, spotting throughout cycle etc) and bad acne, so then didn't really think much about it until I started TTC when I was 26. I'd been off the pill for a while by that point and still had no idea when to expect AF. That's when a nice GP suggest I take my BBT to have some idea of when at least to expect AF, as theoretically I could be about 6-8 weeks pg before I even realised!

I was told to get pg and that would sort them out by some irresponsible GP when I was 15, but turns out he was pretty correct, as my cycle does seem to be more settled just after my mc's!

since then my cycles have ranged up to 56 days, with the shortest being around 40. They were slightly more regular, say around 6 weeks when they came back after I stopped BF DD, but still not very regular. After the complications following my 1st mc last year, my cycle settled down to about 31 day cycles, until the mammoth cycle when I "met" you and that brings us up to date.

How bout you?

I think that might be the late temp taking ...whoops..

How sad am I, I could not sleep last night as I was think about ways to heighten women's awareness of their cycles...I was going to start with kids in sex ed! I even had a dream of teaching a class. Knowing my luck I would teach the kids and they would then all go out and get pregnant. I would then decide to bribe one into giving me their child, because I had still not become pregnant, and got caught up in a massive scandal..

Do you think I have an active imagination or just spending too much time talking about conceiving and ovulation spotting?

This is one mad Rah...signing off!!

greedyforbabies · 23/01/2007 16:52

rahrah!.....what? dont steal anyones children please.....try to control yourself! (if you do get the urge again though, can i have one too!.....preferably a little girl with a cheeky grin!)

fettle - i got confused! (doesn't take much!)....have the cycles when you concieved been long ones or do you not know (apart from recently)

my cycles have always been long but i didnt realise until we started ttc! i started taking my temps on my friends advice. then i looked back in my diary i had when i was 15 where i used to note down my periods and saw that they had always been long! i did bleed continuously for about a month once ( not much, but enough!). anyway.......i guess i have been lucky with ttc in the past, bubt not anymore! BUT this month i am cutting back on drinking.......now THIS is shocking, but....last night i didn't have a drink and that is my first alcohol free night since sept (when i thought i was pg!) disgusting i know, but it keeps me sane!
how are you feeling by the way fettle? when are we allowed to get excited for you?

rahrah1 · 23/01/2007 17:20

Can I ask everyone's age? Just in case its an age thing? Then we can see the people that get pregnant quickest if they are the youngest in the group..

Ready · 23/01/2007 17:34

RahRah - Pleased to hear that your appointment went well. Sorry to hear that you haven't got a reason for losing Bertie (hugs) What he said is positive though, a one off. I know it doesn't take the pain away, but hopefully it will allow you to look forward with less trepidation? Hope that you can start to relax and get your cycles back on track. It seems so rude of me to say this, as I have no idea of what you went through... but I hope you realise my sentiments come from a good place.

Thinking of you. x

Don't know why thermometers have 2 decimal places, but I have a new monitor from Boots, that tracks my temps for me, so it records to 2 decimal places, and so do I. It then has a button you can press which will only log 1.5deg changes, which means you can see really clearly when your temp shift was and if you have a triphasic pattern!! Very exciting!!

I'm doing ok, may have had some very light spotting this morning, but may just been some slightly coloured CM . Everyone at work is going to assume I'm pg as I keep going to the loo, but mainly it is to check up!! Wish I could just relax - I feel different this time around, but I won't be relaxed until I reach the weekend with no red bleeding, as that is the stage the mc started last cycle. Oh poo, poo poo, I know this isn't the hut, but I don't feel eligible for there now I'm pg, but why is getting and staying pg so hard!! Some people find it so easy and straightforward, but not us, its so unfair.

sorry girls, feel better for getting it off my chest!

Hope you have good days.
x
