Morning - definitely in too good a mood this morning for the hut - not sure why the good mood, but not going to question it while it lasts!!

Anyway, 37.83 this morning, so up a little from yesterday. 11 DPO (well 11 days high temps - when do you count ov from, the day before temp rise or the day of temp rise?)

speak later

Hello all,
Have decided for the first time since TTC to record my temps- not sure when I have been OVing! I thought I had a typical 28 day cycle with OV day 13/14- however after closer inspection I have had cycles of generally 27 days, with one 33 dayer... not too irregular, but anyway...

Fettle? Where's Fettle???? OMG!!!!! I can't believe I went to watch the football and missed out on the "tentative" news!!!! Shhhhh.... I am sooooooooo excited. Can't stop smiling. SO hoping this one sticks for you honey! Positive thoughts coming all the way from Greater Manchester for you!! Keep us posted if you can

Rah ((hugs)) Sorry about AF. Dammit. Whenever I think about what you have been through, I well up. Hopefully this doesn't sound too odd, but you are an inspiration! Truly amazing strength!! My fingers and toes are always crossed for you!! Good luck this cycle!

Mum03 - We meet again Hope that temping will help you resist early testing, remember the ClearBlueFairy is always watching You should start to see a pattern once you have charted for a couple of months (here's hoping you won't be waiting that long!). My book says don't expect it to make sense straight away.

Honeyapple - I have found temping really helpful (and calming!) - good luck!! Hope it helps

Lottie - Crumbs, that is a high temp (well it would be if it were me! I have only ever reached 36.70 twice ... Sorry you have a stinking cold. Could mean you immune defences are low cos your body is busy growing a baby!! I made that up, but it does sound plausible

Where or where is Queen Mean??? Greedy? Yoohoo??

Ready · 22/01/2007 10:23

oh flip. I took too long to write my post I crossed with Fettle!!! Hey!! How's it going??

Hi Londonlottie- thats exactly it- i hope that with temping I will actually see when I OV (if at all). Because I have been getting stressed about it, which I am sure is not helpful for TTC.

rahrah1 · 22/01/2007 16:26

I am going to go to the hut to rant about my AF!! I'm so upset...

Thanks Ready for your kind words...but if you saw me this morning having a big paddy and cry..I certainly would not be an inspiration!

Ready · 22/01/2007 16:46

Rahrah!!! you are perfectly entitled to have a cry and a paddy!! I am prone to paddies and tears myself

Pants.. second day in and did not take my temp... how rubbish am I... Think it was because I had my appointment today with fertility consultant, was a bit consumed in that.

Went ok,,, He has said the following:

  • Body is a bit out of sink, but still in range of a normal women..but been under loads of stress, when I start relaxing again, cycles should go back to normal. The body just needs a longer time to heal.

  • PCO is not a problem, all my hormone levels are correct, but he has taken a second load to day to put my mind at rest.

  • Clotting issues, the test showed that it is highly unlikely I have a clotting issue, he has repeated them, but unlikely the cause.

  • He believes that I had a one off implantation issue, that consequently effected the placenta and its ability to sustain a pregnancy.

In short, I am a healthy, youngish women that stands the same chance of anyone else of conceiving and having a normal pregnancy. He said to keep trying and come back to see him in 6 months if not pregnant. So very good news, just have to have trust in him that this is the truth and not keep looking for something to be wrong. (I might cancel the other clinics and go on holiday instead!) It's just so confusing, as he said there is just no science behind what has happened, as it is still a subject that has little fact behind it. So however much we search and search it is highly unlikely we will ever get an answer.

Rahrah - I'm very glad there is nothing wrong with you, but I can understand the frustration of not having a reason why Bertie died. After my 1st mc at 9 weeks last Feb, I desperately tried to think of things that could have cause me to mc, when i'd previously had full-term pg with DD. Obviously I'll never get any answers to that or why I mc again in December.

Hopefully, though he will have reassured you though that now you can try again without having to be unduly worried (anymore than you are obviously going to be, as soon as you get that BFP again!).

Take care of yourself and try and keep positive and book that holiday!!!

Thanks londonlottie... Will go and take it now (I know it will be inaccurate, but least I will have a temp for that day)..

I really can't keep up with all the pregnancies going on at the moment.. there have been loads of BFP flying about...

Jan must of been a busy month! Wish it was me..but suppose it can't happen to everyone in the same month, otherwise the hospitals can't cope!

greedyforbabies · 23/01/2007 13:48

great news there is nothing wrong with you rahrah! you could get your bfp before you know it

OP posts:
greedyforbabies · 23/01/2007 14:30

thanks fettle! i thought we would be starting our next marathon cycle together this time, but looks like that might not be the case! i suppose you getting your bfp is SLIGHTLY more important than me having a long cycle buddie! just dont forget about me!

have your cycles always been so long? were they long before you concieved your dd? what is your average cycle length would you say? sorry questions questions!

you're one hot chick today rahrah! guess thats the late temp taking is it?
