Thought I would create a fresh thread as the original had been going since Feb. This is for anyone TTC #1, a bit of moral support as we all attempt to embark on the scary journey that is parenthood! Join us if you are a mix of terrified and excited, don't really know what you're doing yet and hadn't heard of CM before you started reading Mumsnet!!

Ha ha cinnamon- drives my OH nuts too! The house is full of books and apparatus from past obsessions Grin The nutribullet I was absolutely 100% definitely going to use forever and ever is now gathering dust at the back of the cupboard (didn't even notice DH had cleared it away ha ha)

Jjspoon - yep I got cm when I was in the pill and when I had the implant, so I don't quite trust it!

BusyNothings · 16/06/2016 21:30

Tbh I'm completely perplexed by the cervix and trying to read it lol it just might be a less intensive/open to obsessiveness than doing OPKs. I'm like pj and jj I have to know! It's the only way I know how to deal with stuff. Although having to slowly deal with myself and say I can't control this or understand or predict it I just have to try and let it do what it does. Yes I can help it along but not fix it... V difficult for me.

I'm trying really hard to keep all that to myself though as dh feeling a bit nervous about letting me down all apparently.

Getting really frustrated with no sign of AF yet!

Pyjamas81 · 16/06/2016 21:50

Am not going anywhere near my cervix busy - it's hidden away in there for a reason ha ha. Although we'll see how I get if we have no luck ha ha. How long is it since you had sticky out again?

BusyNothings · 16/06/2016 21:52

I'm just confused by it lol. Can tell we didn't have sex ed in school! It's only been 3 weeks but it feels like forever =[ and there's literally been nothing. No spotting negative OPKs literally nothingness

Pyjamas81 · 16/06/2016 21:59

All I remember of sex ed in school was watching some cringey video and the teacher looking like he wanted to die ha ha

Three weeks is enough time to lose patience!

BusyNothings · 16/06/2016 22:13

I know! Infuriating! The only thing I have is extremely painful and sensitive nipples. Like even wearing a bra is painful. Not helping with DTD! Ugh anyway being pissed off not going to help so deep breaths!

Hope all you lovely ladies are having a more successful month!

Jjspoon · 16/06/2016 22:25

busy I had ridiculously painful nappies for about 3 days last month... really random. The things were going through... if only our OH's had to go through even half of it, let alone the troubles to come after the BFP lol.

Jjspoon · 16/06/2016 22:26

OMG I meant nipples not nappies.... autocorrect haha

Lemon27 · 16/06/2016 23:26

Haha Pyjamas I am currently considering getting a nutribullet! Fancy selling me yours Wink

Trying to drink green smoothies to help with nutrition and iron levels!

Pyjamas81 · 16/06/2016 23:30

Ha ha lemon - I'm saving it for when I obsessively start googling fertility smoothies!

BusyNothings · 17/06/2016 08:38

Fertility smoothies?! See I so don't have a clue about this stuff lol. I have this reoccurring nightmare that I get a bfp and then somehow have the baby then I'm at home by myself with this baby like wtf do I do now lol need to read more books!

Pyjamas81 · 17/06/2016 08:52

I may have made that up ha ha But I bet they exist!

I have the same kind of dream! I dream I've had a baby but forgot about being pregnant - cue total panic when baby is there Shock

love2003 · 17/06/2016 09:47

So cd31 here, AF due cd 29 (now 2 days late) bfns cd27 and cd31 - took tests as have had some pg symptoms....... Waiting very impatiently on AF's arrival. I have been regular 27 days average cycle since coming off pill last August but now on cd31.... Feel like my cycles are getting more irregular (since actively ttc) - has this happened to anyone else? So looking to maybe start using bbt thermometer or opk's next cycle (cycle 4)

I wanted to avoid this as I feel it makes ttc more 'regimental'..... Does anyone have any advice or recommendations for opk's or bbt thermometers? Don't know where to start.

BusyNothings · 17/06/2016 10:09

Hi love you might still be in with a chance this month! Have you tried the early tests too? I would suggest opks are your best bet if you want to try as they tell as happening. Bbt only tells you after the fact. I got a good deal of a bundle of opks online so maybe have a look online if you going to try.

Still keeping fingers crossed for you though!

love2003 · 17/06/2016 10:24

Thank u, busy! I know I really thought I was having symptoms and just feels different from pms... It's such a rollercoaster Confused was gutted after first bfn then started to get hopes up again when still no AF, only to get another bfn!! Envy just wish it wld arrive...

But does anyone else just feel a bit like they'll never be lucky enough to get preg?!

love2003 · 17/06/2016 10:26

First test was asda own and used a clear blue digital this morn....

BusyNothings · 17/06/2016 12:09

Yup I'm with you there love I'm really worried about that - esp since the women in my family seem to fall pregnant at the sight of a man. But don't worry it will happen and if it's a longer road then some then it may not be what you envisaged but it won't matter in the end.

CinnamonTwist · 17/06/2016 13:16

pyjamas there are ovulation test sticks in my Amazon basket...
If when AF comes this month I will be ordering them for next FW Wink
And yes I have loads of books, covering loads of previous obsessions... And 2 already on TTC/ pregnancy with another on my Amazon wish list Blushthey are currently hidden in a drawer away from interested nosey relatives!

Have you seen the impatient woman's guide to getting pregnant? I'm reading that one at the minute and it's really good. Lighthearted but helpful information - not crazy obsessive and actually helps with the obsessive tendencies. I also love the unmumsy mum. Ooh and and and lol

I love books can you tell?

CinnamonTwist · 17/06/2016 13:40

Tell me about it. This is just the TTC ones... Imagine! The pregnancy ones! Then the baby ones! Then the parenting ones! Then kids books! Then young adult books! Then oooooh exciting.

Lol I'm sure my DH sometimes wonders if we are only having kids so I can add new genres to my library shelves Grin

CinnamonTwist · 17/06/2016 14:32

I really want a library... **

OP posts:
BusyNothings · 17/06/2016 14:34

That would be amazing lol. We are in the process of selling and buying and I found a house with a attic converted into a beauty and the beast style LIBRARY! Omg I loved it. Needless to say it was out of our budget Sad
