Thought I would create a fresh thread as the original had been going since Feb. This is for anyone TTC #1, a bit of moral support as we all attempt to embark on the scary journey that is parenthood! Join us if you are a mix of terrified and excited, don't really know what you're doing yet and hadn't heard of CM before you started reading Mumsnet!!

I've got none of the moody AF symptoms (for now) - so am at least enjoying that! Yep - have got two FRERs and two CB digitals ready Grin

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 14:10

Lol at least you can recognise the moody AF symptoms. I only tend to notice after the fact!

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 15:26

Today's OPK a definite negative. And boobs feel like they are trying to make me cry. Ouch. =[

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 15:29

Hi all, jumping in here :) I'm 24, came off cerazette last month and currently cd8.. Ordered opks the other day but went to superdrug as had a feeling and I wanted to test today! Looks borderline to me? You lot look like pros now in here ;) so thought I'd share and see what you think?

It actually looks darker IRL typically... Stupid photos!

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 15:55

Is it meant to be two crosses? That's what I can see!

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 16:05

What do the instructions day a positive test looks like? I see two crosses!

I'm about as far from a pro as you can get hahahahahaha

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 16:05

*say

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 16:36

Haha! The cross on the left is meant to be as dark as the one on the right for positive, superdrug meant to be £10something but this kit is being discontinued so £2.50 for the 5 instead, while I wait for Internet cheapie opks to turn up!

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 16:44

Ah right it's an OPK - thought we were looking at a pregnancy test there for a second! See? Not a pro at all ha ha. The one on the left looks a bit lighter to me - but I think you're close!

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 16:45

busy the boob and nipple pain before I got af last cycle was hellish, i was sleeping in a stretchy sports bra as even turning over/touching them was waking me up! They felt injured! Horrible, hope it goes for you soon..

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 16:47

pyjamas yes it looks like one! why make them so similar?! Bizarre... Thanks for the input! Hard with nothing to compare to, had a scroll back on here and thought it looks pretty near positive

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 17:04

Ah yes then it's pretty close to being a positive!

I know what you mean about the boobs being too painful to even touch. Trying to dtd is a nightmare. I'm seriously considering investing in a sleep bra because they hurt so much. But being ahem chesty lol they aren't cheap!

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 17:27

Oh I'm a G cup so I know nothing comes cheap! I just wear things that don't fit, ha! I have the biggest stretchy sports bra primark do and a couple of bandeau bras that are more cotton (can't flipping find any more now!) but stretchy again in the biggest size they do from asda and that makes things just about tolerable. I'm aware once pregnant I'm going to have to spend decent money on bras so I'm making the most of being able to get away with such cheapo measures lol, i get sale and summer's bras normally or squidge into smaller primark bras (I know, it's not ideal!)

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 17:32

Getting serious boob envy over here - I'm an A cup! I wear bras purely to make it look like there's something, anything, there hahaha

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 17:42

pyjamas how about a boob share? You can have a few cup sizes from me? And I won't hit my boobs on everything and have to buy industrial expensive bras! :D

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 17:50

Definitely happy to share a few cup sizes! Painful and expensive. I can't wear cheap bras I just end up in agony it's pathetic. I've been looking at pregnancy bras to get an idea of budgets and they look so much comfier!

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 17:59

Ha ha thanks ladies! It does sound tough though, and painfulShock

Blissfulignorance · 31/07/2016 21:12

Hello all I'm TTC ish number one, getting married in 3 weeks and have started taking conception vitamins. Hopefully will actually start trying in October once honeymoon and things are out of the way. And the bank balance has recovered! Anyway I'm super excited and want to get all advice possible!

Pyjamas81 (thank you) suggested I join this thread! Please accept me! Smile

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 21:22

Hi bliss welcome! We will only accept you if you succeed in our hazing rituals!

Planning a wedding an ttc are you superwoman?!

Blissfulignorance · 31/07/2016 21:38

Ahh I wish I was superwoman! I feel super tired! Haha

It's been a very busy few months for me but I've been desperate to start trying for what feels like a life time. But getting hitched 1st was important to both of us.

And because I was at uni and money was tight we had to wait to get married but now the waiting is over and I'm obsessed with all things baby related! It's like a drug and I'm surprised by my reaction to it all as a few years ago I wasn't arsed about babies.

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 22:00

Ha ha blissful - I wasn't arsed about babies until about 4 months ago, then turned 35, got married and everything changed!

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 22:22

Eek I planned pretty much all. Well I say pretty much all and by that I mean I came up with everything, planned everything, organised everything and executed everything by myself for our wedding last year. So I definitely feel your pain!

Also yes to the switch. I never understood broodiness until the switch went! Kind of crazy how it does that isn't it!

Blissfulignorance · 01/08/2016 06:11

It's so crazy how the switch happens. My other half thinks I've been possessed,he still wants to marry me so that's a good sign haha.

Can someone catch me up then? You age, situation, crazy scale?

I'm 27 by the way

Pyjamas81 · 01/08/2016 07:30

Quick catch up on me: I'm 35 (switch took much longer with me!), TTC #1, cycle 2 since coming off birth control, cycle 1 properly TTC, CD27,

On the crazy scale - I use opks and now have a healthy POAS addiction, track everything on Ovia which tells me AF is due tomorrow, but I should test on Saturday Confused, and I temp - which means nothing to me but it's something to do!
