Thought I would create a fresh thread as the original had been going since Feb. This is for anyone TTC #1, a bit of moral support as we all attempt to embark on the scary journey that is parenthood! Join us if you are a mix of terrified and excited, don't really know what you're doing yet and hadn't heard of CM before you started reading Mumsnet!!

That's good keep telling yourself that it's not over. Let yourself wallow for a day or two if you need to and then pick yourself up and know that you can keep going.

Sorry to hear that jj, there won't be anything you could have done to stop it, sometimes it's just not a viable pregnancy. I know that doesn't make it any less upsetting though. I hope your DP is supportive and you have family/ friends to take care of you. Look after yourself and fx for a sticky one in the future for you

Anybody else think this month is out for ttc because it's just too damned hot to dtd?!

Omg I was literally just about to say the same thing! Trust there to be a damn heatwave during my FW! I'm a total summer Scrooge as well, I've always been a Winter girl. But, we've got on with it, just made it quick! Oh the romance ha ha

My dh is Amsterdam but he's still toobloody close. So hot. So sticky. So horrible. Serious admiration for you pj well done lol! My fw is supposed to be next week. We shall see if it is I hope it's bloody cold.

I'm not exactly a winter girl but I hate hot weather.

Fingers crossed it cools down in time for you! I can't recommend dtd in this weather! I don't moan once about the weather in winter while everyone else does, so I'm allowing myself a whinge or three at the moment ha ha.

Hope I get a static smiley face tomorrow on OPK - today was day 7 of flashing smiley face, very frustrating!

Lol you are definitely allowed a couple of bitch sessions about the weather. I'm a spring girl myself. Pretty flowers coming out. Cool bracing breezes. Rain showers but just a glimpse of blue sky and it's warm in the sunshine. Other than that in winter I'm frozen and in summer I'm freezing my hot water bottle and a hot sweaty mess lol.

Day 7 that is frustrating. I'll keep fingers crossed for you tomorrow!

Day 8 of freaking sodding flashing smiley face! Maybe I just didn't ovulate this month Ovia re-did it's sums based on data I've been putting in and its telling me I'm now out of fertile window (was previously until Friday) which I don't understand as I've been putting in my high fertility OPK results. Am going to keep testing as I may just be ovulating later in the cycle than predicted. It's enough to drive you batshit, this working out cycles business!

pyjamas how frustrating! I've only just bought one, not used it yet but I'll be throwing it out of the window if it does that! It says on the leaflet stop testing if you get 9 flashing smileys in a row but I'd do the same as you just to check you're not ovulating later in the cycle. What cd are you on and what cd do you usually reckon you ov on?

Hi Eva - yep, very irritating!! I'm using the cheapie version as well just to check the digi isn't faulty - there is a line (see below) which has been pretty constant over last few days, but def not as strong as the control line.

No idea when I usually ovulate - am only on second cycle after coming off birth control so your guess is as good as mine! I got a static smiley on CD10 last month and I'm now on CD15. Bah!

pyjamas I'd persevere too. I came off the pill in April and was lucky to go straight back to having regular AF visits. 30 day cycles, ov on day 15. The +ve ov test could be the next one!
I'm on cd5, FF says FW starts cd12 so I'm just waiting (again).

You're so lucky Eva! Really annoying not knowing! But as you say, shall persevere! So annoying as def ovulated last month but didn't manage to dtd, this month we've given it a proper go but stupid body is not co-operating! Fingers crossed for your FW - hope the heat wave calms down a bit for you

Bums - just did a cheapie test and line is much fainter than yesterday (pic below). So am thinking chances of a static smiley any time soon are slim to none and I skipped ovulating this month! Ah well, no harm in dtd anyway just in case but hopes aren't high for testing day in a couple of weeks!

I've not done opks for two days I keep meaning to and then forgetting. Do you think it matters if you do them later in the day?

First month down just keep swimming pj lol that's what I keep telling myself

The instructions for the ones I've been using from the pics below say that it should be later in the day (but not after drinking too much water), the digi ones say test FMU - hope that helps!

Hi all....another one here for being too hot to do anything except lie naked in bed and let the breeze (if any) float in the windows and cool you down!!! Last 3 nights I've swatted away DH...feel a bit bad actually haha but I just can't! I've no idea around this month....we DTD a good bit earlier in the month, but I think we were a week too late but then again I only had ovulation discharge (sorry I can't remember the acronym for it!!!!) last week so kinda not sure where anything is date wise....I'm not using ovulation sticks.

I had a weird jabbing pain that felt it was from my right ovary on monday and a feeling like I was coming on my AF (to the point I felt when I went to the loo id see id started early...but I think that could be also the fact I was a sweaty Betty this week

Anyway AF due around this weekend or early next week I think so wait and see. I was in boots earlier and bought my second ever pregnancy test box (first one was a couple of years ago when I spent a week feeling ghastly and convinced myself I was preggers but turned out I had some weird viral infection)! So positive thinking! And oh....I ordered this on Amazon as I plan to give to DH to tell him if/when we get a BFP as we are big into GOT and I thought it was brill!!!
