Thought I would create a fresh thread as the original had been going since Feb. This is for anyone TTC #1, a bit of moral support as we all attempt to embark on the scary journey that is parenthood! Join us if you are a mix of terrified and excited, don't really know what you're doing yet and hadn't heard of CM before you started reading Mumsnet!!

Thanks busy :) he's home and seems ok now lol has a big grin like the cat who got the cream.

He did comment that it's a faint line though and wants me to test again before getting too excited so I've convinced him to wait a few days and I'll do one Friday when it'll hopefully be darker.

Eva30 · 28/06/2016 21:10

Congrats jjspoon - fab news!!

CinnamonTwist · 28/06/2016 21:16

Oh don't tell me that jj Grin I'm sure I have missed the boat this month (or at least I'm trying to convince myself that so I'm not too disappointed when AF shows up tomorrow) but, of course, I'm noticing all the things that don't normally happen, like my boobs are really sore (but maybe I just don't normally take that much notice, I know they are sore sometimes but don't usually bother to track when that is!) and my skin isn't as spotty as normal (but maybe that's just because I've changed my skin care routine and its helped it).

I'm glad your OH is so happy now, think mine will be the same - initially omg Shock as the reality hits and then over the moon when he's gotten over the shock of it!

for you cinnamon I think my dh would be like jj shell shocked and telling me to take another test. Very excited for you though jj!

BusyNothings · 28/06/2016 22:16

Can I get some sympathy and soft words please? Sad my nipples are so sore and swollen I could cry. Sorry if tmi but I have no one else in RL I can say that too lol. Bras hurt, no bras hurt - i feel like screaming "what are you doing to me?" And then crying like the hysterical girl I am.

CinnamonTwist · 29/06/2016 07:21

So... Woke up this morning and though 'oh where are my AF cramps??' Cause I usually start first thing/ overnight and get awful cramps to wake up to.... And I've been pretty regular recently after coming off the pill to really confused cycles, it had settled down. So thought maybe I would do a test... Waiting for it whilst brushing my teeth and had to wake DH and call him in... I have a squinter!! It's clearer in real life but it's there, shocked doesn't even begin to cover it, I was convinced we had no hope this cycle. DH is both feeling super smug and a little disappointed that we didn't get to try harder!!

Busy my boobs really hurt, it sucks but I'm guessing it could be a good sign - was for me!

ahhh cinnamon i see it!! thats so exciting im really happy for you!

boobs are still really sore today. accompanied with major cramps but only on my right hand side... weird.

CinnamonTwist · 29/06/2016 21:34

Busy where abouts in your cycle are you, when are you due to test?

OP posts:
BusyNothings · 29/06/2016 21:40

I don't have a clue to either of those questions. I didn't have a period for five years on the implant. That came out almost 7 weeks ago now and I've had nothing but confusion. Two days of thick brown really light spotting (ie no need for a pad just on tissue) and a hell of a lot of random cramps and really sore boobs.

I've been taking my bbt every morning and doing OPKs pretty much daily (can you tell I like routine lol) in the hopes that something would happen to give me a hint of where I'm up to but not one single even squinter line on an OPK and my temps are all over the place. Strange as I am but doing those things gives me some structure and calm even if no answers.

I know it'll take a while for my body to right itself I just wish it was doing something that I could understand - even if it was out of sequence etc lol

Jjspoon · 29/06/2016 22:58

Congrats cinnamon! Are you going to test again or leave it at that? My OH wants me to test again Hmm so said I will Friday. I'm just worrying that I've got no symptoms at all. I'm a worrier though in general about everything so these are not going to be a good few months for me...

Have you thought about when you'll tell your gp yet?

CinnamonTwist · 30/06/2016 10:31

I'm going to test again tomorrow, with a clear blue so it says 'pregnant' Grin
I haven't really had many 'symptoms' a few waves of nausea that could almost be imaginary and sore boobs, but different sore to normal, I think it's because they're growing - the pain sort of feels like they're too full, if that makes sense??!

Jjspoon · 30/06/2016 18:19

Looking good Eva!

Cinnamon I'm going to do a clearblue too so OH can see the word lol bless him.

miwelaisjacydo · 30/06/2016 20:58

Hello everyone can I join please?

Am miw 27 and and been TTC for a few months but stopped due to DH health issues. We are now very much back trying but am trying not to obsess about dates and times.

CinnamonTwist · 01/07/2016 07:15

Thanks Eva, I know we expected it to take a few months, both a little shocked (but delighted) it happened so quickly!
Good luck with the clear blue today jj have you got the one that tells you how many weeks? My Amazon tests, which are sensitive to 10miu/ml, are still quite faint, visible and clearer than before but fainter than the control line, so DH wants me to wait til tomo or Sunday to do the clear blue in case it doesn't pick it up yet.

Welcome miwelaisjacydo and good luck with ttc, we're not really very good at not obsessing here Wink

Checking in after a while off and great to see some BFPs! Congratulations!!

How is everyone doing? Busy - any sign of anything yet?

I am hugely cranky today - which is right in line with AF arriving next week. By Wednesday I'll be breathing fire at everyone again Angry Ovia is handy - I checked what moods I'd recorded this time last month and it was exactly the same! Not going to be disappointed when AF arrives as we totally missed my fertile window - combination of work stress and just not being in the mood/couldn't be bothered. Renewed focus for cycle 2 though Smile

Jjspoon · 11/07/2016 21:27

This thread has gone a bit quiet! How is everyone? Anyone tested?!

Eva30 · 12/07/2016 21:21

Hi, I'm on a couple of other threads so haven't posted on this one for a while. I am cd26, 11dpo and BFN this morning. I thought as much tbh so not devastated. On to Cycle 4 for me now, hurry up AF.

BusyNothings · 12/07/2016 22:57

Hi all!

I'm in the running! Yay on day 3 of full blown AF my first since having the implant out. So hopefully now things will start to tick over. Even if a bit out of whack at least I know it's going somewhere. Although I did have to remind myself why I was doing this when the cramps set in. Not let go of the hot water bottle and painkiller in days lol.

pj how are you getting on? On time as it seemed to be?

eva you sure you are out of the running this month? Might still have a few days

Pyjamas81 · 12/07/2016 23:04

Hooray busy!! Great news!! Probably the only time AF is welcome, but it's a great relief to know things may be going back to normality!

My AF actually arrived a week early making it a 22 day cycle, and it only lasted a couple of days (fine by me). So now am on CD7 and testing using digi OPK every morning to try and pinpoint things. Fertile week according to Ovia kicks off on Saturday which is most convenient Grin

BusyNothings · 12/07/2016 23:08

I know I almost rang my dh at work to celebrate. Sad as that is. The celebration didn't last long though lol. No matter how much you think you remember them the cramps are always worse.

That is very handy that it falls on the weekend pj lol I hope you have nothing planned. What are the digit opks like? I keep looking at them but they confuse me a bit b

Eva30 · 13/07/2016 06:05

That's great busy! My temperatures have started falling so fully expect AF on Sunday, if not before. I'm really psyching myself up for August being my month (I do this every month!)
pj if it doesn't happen for me in Aug I'll be getting one too, let us know if they're any good

Pyjamas81 · 13/07/2016 07:51

I've got the Clearblue digital dual hormone one which tells you your high fertility days and peak fertility days - flashing smiley face is high, static smiley face is peak - got flashing smiley face this morning so we're nearly in business! I really like them (although found them a bit confusing at first) - no farting about with trying to decipher lines and can do with FMU which means no peeing on sticks at work Smile the instructions tell you when to start testing so really easy once you've figured that out. Worth the extra money in my view!
