Positive opk after a miscarriage

Hi, hoping someone a bit more knowledgable than me can help me figure this out! I had a medically managed miscarriage 9 days ago and have had strong positives on opks for the last 2 days. I know that they pick up hcg so presumed that this was just picking up left over hormones from the pregnancy. Today I had a very faint positive on a pregnancy test so looks as though my hormone levels are nearly back to normal, but the opk is still coming up with a strong positive. The pregnancy test is 10 miu and the opk 20 - so my question is this still just left over hormones when the pregnancy tests are getting lighter and the opks aren't?

Feeling more positive today. My pregnancy test is barely positive you really have to hold it to the light so pretty sure hormones are well on their way down. Plus I have ewcm so hopefully my body is getting the message that their is no baby and it can get on with making a new one!

Did Af arrive Allium? My temp is right back up this morning, but I've got a really sore throat now (thought all my vitamins would keep me healthy but I've never had so many bugs so close together!) so I think it might just be a fever. Did another cheapie and its negative still, going to stop testing now and just wait for Af I think.

Sorry about Af Allium, glad you're not feeling too down though. At this stage I think it just feels like the waiting is over at least and you can move on to next month.

Thanks. If fertility friend got my ovulation day right Af should be due tomorrow, but I think it might have been a day out and due Tuesday. Keeping my fingers crossed it was just a very late implantation, but realistically I think I'd have got a positive by now if I was going to get one. Feeling a bit better about it all today though, maybe next month X

You might get a nice surprise Mel. If not, stay positive for next month.

I feel ok today but have had a busy week to take my mind off it.

I'm feeling quite positive today. My temps are coming down and I feel that my period will be a bit shorter this month.

What time do you all temp? I always get up for a wee, often around 5/5:30. So if I go back to bed and then temp around 6:30/7, that's not enough sleep right?

Fingers crossed Allium, I'm sure we are due some good luck! I temp around 5 as that's normal when I've had the most sleep and just before toddler ends up getting in our bed. I normally wake to use the toilet at some point though and toddler often wakes or wants to go to the loo too, so I'm lucky if I've had 2 hours solid sleep. Not ideal but the overall pattern still seems to work.

After my tiny bit of spotting yesterday Af still hasn't come (temp absolutely plummeted though so I'm not pregnant) so I'm currently on 13 day lp now which I've not had since before I had my son. I guess all the vitamins did something, but as I know I'm out I just want it to hurry up now!

The waiting is frustrating Mel but definitely a good sign your lp is longer.

I feel the same - I've been taking pregnacare for 3 months now and feel that it's taking effect. I feel more balanced and my cycle seems healthier.

That can only be a good thing x

I had some acupuncture this morning and felt sooooo relaxed afterwards. I'm getting hooked - no wonder my bank balance is looking so bad!

Glad you're enjoying the accupunture, even if it just relaxes you that's got to help. Unless you look at your bank balance too often of course!

Yeah Af turned up, which I was glad of as I knew it was coming - now I can move forward with this cycle. A few days rest before the sperm meets egg begins again!

I'm going to order Conceive Plus as it's a bit cheaper and I'm not sure I fancy the applicators.

I had one acu session with someone who is now on holiday. Then I found a local acu'ist who has a shop on the local high street. He's a TCM specialist who prescribes herbs and does acu. I must admit I have been feeling more relaxed this cycle, perhaps just a coincidence. And I felt SO relaxed after the acu today.

He diagnosed that my blood is too hot and he saw issues with my digestion so he's treating that and my hormones. He said it would take 1-2 months to improve things. I've been having treatment for about 10 days now - it costs £70/week so hope I don't need too much treatment!

I just read a lot about Dr Zhai on Harley Street (who I obvs can't afford) so thought I would go for a cheaper version!

How many sessions are you going to have Blossom?

I had acupuncture today as well, and she also did some cupping which I've not done before. Came home and slept for 2 hrs afterwards! Had woken up feeling quite negative this morning and definitely felt calmer and more positive after treatment.

Blossom I've used almost every gel available! Using Yes Baby at the moment as it's organic and comes in individual squeezy tubes which I prefer to the Preseed applicators, which are like the plungers you get with bottles of Calpol. But at least with Preseed you have the option of using the applicators, you could also just use the gel on it's own.

I'm finally going to start temping. DH has given the go-ahead and said he can put up with the beeping from my thermometer waking him every morning!

Glad you're getting some benefit too from the acu Bear. Is that your second treatment? Are you having weekly sessions?

Re the beeping, I wrap the duvet round the thermometer when I know it's about to beep and it muffles it. It is annoying especially when it's 5am!

Lovely to hear you're all having Acu and feeling the effects immediately after! It's a shame it's such a costly process! Well worth it though! I wonder if I should try it for my anxiety this time round?!

I'm feeling ok thanks Allium, no severe sickness or anything just the fatigue more than anything else. Still worrying a lot but trying not to think the worst all the time.

So so confused any suggestions welcome. I have been taking pregnancy tests daily for the last 8 days till I got a negative test with fmu. So yesterday it was negative after the previous two days I being v v feint. I thought I would do one more today to make sure it's negative but it's defiantly positive! So is this dodgy tests, dodgy hormones, or the start of something new (defiantly do not want to get my hopes up)!

Any ideas how long ago you may have ovulated?

Very strange. Were you using the same brand of test with FMU?

If you were getting positive hpt quite recently, I'm not sure if you would have ovulated but anything is possible I guess!

No idea! I was away for the first 10 days after miscarrige so I couldn't temp then I have since but with out a previous baseline it's hard to tell. I usually ovulate around day14/15 I had some ewcm around then but then also had some at the start of this week! So either about 11 days ago or 4 days ago!!
