June Bus anyone?!

Barefootcontessa84 · 02/05/2016 22:59

Hi all

I thought I'd start the June bus as I'm getting impatient!

I'm 31 (for a bit longer anyway), TTC#1. DH and I agreed to start TTC in May, but won't be ovulating till about the 24th. ETD 8th June! Feeling terrified and excited at the same time.

Join me if you will! Smile

Hi again :)

I'm totally new to TTC (DS was planned but we didn't 'try' we just stopped preventing) and I haven't had my period yet. Anyway - last night I noticed what I believe to be EWCM. This is a good sign right?

CinnamonTwist · 17/05/2016 13:32

I'd like to join too please Smile I'm new on here so hi! wave dh and I have decided to start ttc on my next cycle which will be in June, so I think this is the right place for me? My cycles seem to be long short long short since I came off the pill in October so af will be somewhen between 28th May and 7th June, in theory should be the shorter one but we will see! Then after that we will see what happens without bc for a few months before actively ttc. So about me:
Age: 26
Ttc #1
1st cycle
And excited and scared all in one go! Looking forward to having people to share it with though!

Barefootcontessa84 · 17/05/2016 17:15

It's getting busy! Welcome newcomers!

Welcome everyone ! When's everyone's FW? Apparently mine is in 6 days but trying to dtd everyday just incase. Grin

Lizziedoll · 17/05/2016 17:46

barefootcontessa84 thanks for the tip re:BV. Never tried Epsom salt baths but will give it a go. Will it not prevent implantation do you know?

LidikaLikes · 17/05/2016 17:58

babydances what's FW mean?

CinnamonTwist · 17/05/2016 18:05

Technically it's my fw atm (just coming to an end), but dh doesn't want a February baby so waiting till next month. We've got work being done on our house at the moment so although we're both really broody it's right to wait, then we can be as ready as is possible (if there is such a thing) when we do manage to conceive. I think being naive we are both concerned it could happen too quickly! But I bet it won't, anyway next fw is around 7th June depending on when af appears this month Hmm

MrsGsnow18 · 17/05/2016 18:08

Lidikalikes FW is fertile window I think!

Blondie0912 · 17/05/2016 18:51

babydances mines in 4 days according to Ovia so we're close!! We're trying to do the same thing as you just in case- although probably only DTD every other day...have a wedding on Friday and DH is staying at his parents house Saturday so that's 2 days out already Hmm

babydances · 17/05/2016 19:21

Haha blondie0912 good luck! I have the implant in my arm (8 months out of date) waiting on anaesthetic allergy testing before they will take it out. However I've had monthly periods since December so I'm hoping I'm ovulating. Considering getting those ovulating sticks but it looks like a lot of work to figure out if ur ovulating or not
When's everyone else's fertile window?

MamaFern · 17/05/2016 19:32

babydances I wish I knew when mine was. I feel like I'm gearing up for something so I'm either about to ovulate or have AF. DTD every other day just in case!

LilySnape · 17/05/2016 19:37

Is anyone else dieting ? im trying to avoid junk food and eat mostly leafy greens and healthy foods but im failing most daysSad also Ovia said my FW was last weekend when me and Dp DTD so hope its worked this time

Marykate1988 · 17/05/2016 19:38

My FW is from the 27th but going to start trying now as my cycles are quite irregular at the moment.

My problem is that although we both really want a baby both of us have quite low sex drives so creates a problem and can cause a bit of friction. Does anyone else have this problem or just me?Blush

Kn33 · 17/05/2016 19:39

My FW starts tomorrow.. No idea why I'm so scared! Haha

Wibblewobble100 · 17/05/2016 19:46

Can I join too? Been lurking a while.
Age 35
TTC #2 DC 1 nearly 2
CD 9
Cycle 5

Got pregnant first time last time without any checking on mucus, temps etc. But as we're onto cycle 5 I'm beginning to think I should. Can some one give me a crash course in what I'm looking for... Temps, mucus, opks?
Thanks, hopefully June will be the month for everyone.

babydances · 17/05/2016 20:17

mamafern hoping it's not AF for you.
lilysnape not dieting but trying to eat healthier and also not doing that well!

marykate tbh I can't be bothered to do it everyday but dp will relief himself otherwise Confused hahaha

wibblewobble100 I'm not particularly clues up on the ov signs and going to just wing it his month, it's cycle 2 for us

MrsGsnow18 · 17/05/2016 21:20

MaryKate I totally understand! Been trying for every other day! But it's actually really difficult! So I'm not stressing about missing a night if it's not in FW or haven't got a positive OPK!

LidikaLikes · 17/05/2016 21:38

Brilliant info here about fertility - temps, fluid etc.

Taking Charge of Your Fertility site

I used this all as a method of contraception for + 1 year. Trying to BD in the fertile week now to conceive, whereas I'm so used to avoiding intercourse in that fertile time. Hard to get my head around, but I'm sure I'll cope Wink

Barefootcontessa84 · 17/05/2016 22:29

lizzie no I haven't seen anything that would suggest issues with implantation - in fact there is a suggestion they're good for fertility in general - have a google around.

My FW supposedly starts on Saturday and predicted OV is the 26th. Have started every other day to cover all bases!

TTC sex began tonight.

It's CD12 and on the two previous months I have ovulated on CD16.

I have no idea what my normal pattern is as I had a Mirena in which made me bleed constantly for 8 months and then I had my early miscarriage at the start of March so I'm only guessing really when ovulation will occur.

I think I will start using OPKs tomorrow.

Me and DH haven't actually had a discussion about TTC2 again (after the miscarriage) but he knows I'm no longer on any contraception and was still happy to DTD tonight so we will just see what happens.....

Butterpuff · 18/05/2016 07:35

Hey everyone, looks like a few people are getting to the fun week! I think we are probably hitting FW today too. So time to put DC to bed early Wink I've never checked for signs just estimate in cycle length but it seemed to work last time. My cycle is a bit longer since it returned so my diary says 18 days till AF that's ages to wait hoping she will not visit! 😁 I'm also a do not test till she's 3 days late kind of girl.

LilySnape · 18/05/2016 14:01

Why is Vit A so dangerous trying to take some supplements as i struggle with eating so much but its impossible to find a multi vit without vit a Confused i just bought the ones without vitamin a but it means taking 8 pills a day also is there any other supplements proven to help fertility ? i can only eat so many spinach leaves and spring greens before i turn greenEnvy

Julia2016 · 18/05/2016 14:23

Hi there, I will join too!

Age 36
TTC #2 DD 1 is 1
CD 10
Cycle 7

Just finished 5 days of Clomid 150mg as I'd issues for the past few months with late ovulation and a short luteal phase.

I've cut down from 2 cups of coffee a day to 1 and not having much alcohol.

Best wishes to everyone.. :)

CinnamonTwist · 18/05/2016 14:50

lilysnape I can't remember why vit a is dangerous but you can get ttc and pregnancy specific multivitamins, I think centrum does one, sure there are lots of others too though!

FriendlyGhost · 18/05/2016 16:04

Welcome Julia Smile
Do you mind me asking how you knew you were ovulating late and had a short luteal phase? My dd is 17 months and still has several breastfeeds in a 24 hour period despite me trying to drop at least one. I have read that breastfeeding can cause a short luteal phase but I have no idea how to tell if this is affecting me. I have had regular 30/31 day cycles since she turned 1 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's not going to be an issue. I'm a bit clueless though!
