Amy - feel for you, looking/ feeling rubbish and Ttc is more stress than we need ( I've had a cold sore this week and feel your pain)
Lots of us on periods at the moment- so depressing but we can all start again together.
Whatsername- I think it's a good thing, it's only a couple of days ahead and sounds like strong hormones, perhaps reassuring.
nitnat - and other sharing your wisdom . I just don't find GPs that reassuring or knowledgeable. How and why do you get your bloods tested though? I'm thinking about a private fertility assessment £500 thoughSad.
2nd miscarriage for me, age 38 and have a 12 year old from a previous relationship.
Brenna - keep running, last week I had to stop four times, you loose the ability so quickly. I really hope you are pregnant again. Good signs.

Clarity77 · 19/05/2016 17:07

Miami- Forgot to say no pink cm for me. I've only noticed ovulation pains since miscarriage but they always co-ordinate with opk smiley face so are a reliable sign these days.

Brenna24 · 19/05/2016 18:05

I don't know the rules for your region Clarity but up here they test you after your first miscarriage if you are 38 or over - I was 37 with my first and the midwife mentioned that if I had been 6 months older they would have started testing then and there. My Dr has referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic which is part of the EPAC. I am going on wednesday for my first appointment. I'll report back what they say afterwards. I am guessing they will want to take some blooks from me to look for conditions such as antiphospholipid antibody, thyroid problems, clotting problems, hormone levels etc. At some point they will do an ultrasound to check my plumbing as well, not sure if they do that on wednesday or not.

5tardusty · 19/05/2016 18:55

Good luck Brenna i hope youre experiencing implantation symptoms!

Hello Witchy...my old friend. AF best enjoy her warm welcome from me as it's the last she'll get for a long while! Started spotting today so not in full flow but it's definitely her witchiness!

To summarise my post mc WTF cycle and for anyone else who has been playing the waiting game too:
MMC at 9 weeks. Scan showed just 5 week growth.
41 days since first sign of spotting
33 days since Medical Management
28 days since sac passed
27 days since bleeding stopped
16 days since BFN

OPKd every day since bleeding stopped, and no ewcm so firmly believe this was anovulatory. Fingers crossed that i'm all rebooted and ready to go. My usual cycle length is around 32 days.

Onwards and upwards!

Well done for the run brenna I am definitely doing park run this weekend! Did it last Saturday and I'm so much slower than I used to be!

Clarity when I had my MC I found my gp quite dismissive. In the end I said I had pain (I did have some but not severe) and that got me a referral. The EPU were so much better and I felt like they were really thorough. Maybe if you can try and get into EPU they could investigate for you? nitnat maybe a private gp is a good idea? Although expensive. Why don't they listen to us!

amy I feel your pain with the lank hair! Mine is like that at certain times during the month too!

pineapple I cannot talk to anyone. Find it so hard. This is the only place I can talk about it all! Even last night I tried to talk to my bf and he obviously doesn't understand!

I'm 3dpo today according to fertility friend and have had on off cramping all day. Sometimes it feels like af is on the way already! I've had the most stressful day at work. Need to try not to stress... Stress will not get me pregnant!!!

LuckyinOctober · 19/05/2016 20:23

Brenna I'm inspired by getting back into exercise, I have some holidays coming up and hope that will be a good time to get back into it. I'm with you on not putting life on hold and keeping hobbies going. 7 dpo and the symptoms you described do sound implantation-y, fingers crossed for you. I'm about in sync with you, I haven't had bleeding but I have had strong left sided pain and nausea today. There's a bug going round at work though so it could be that I'm coming down with that. Feeling happy, luckily no PMS so far which is a plus at least.

Also congrats "whats"! Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months for you.

Mrs and Brenna - it will be really useful to know how your referrals go and what tests and support you get. It must be good to know that someone is monitoring things and hopefully doing something constructive. Had a discussion with my partner about seeing a specialist privately last night and he is not keen to spend the money. He seems so much more relaxed than me and has total (blind) faith in the fact that the GP would do this on the NHS if it were necessary.
Mrs - that fertility gel may have helped me last month but a word of warning my partner hated it. Said it was really cold and sloppy. Maybe only use small amounts, one application seemed to include a crazy amount of gel.

Brenna24 · 20/05/2016 08:49

We will keep you up to date Flowers

jodiebee664 · 20/05/2016 09:05

Good luck all with the referrals, I'll be going to request this next month if no joy!

I;ve used the conceive plus gel this time whilst dtd and have found it okay - built in applicator makes it much easier than they one that came with the preseed...that was v sloppy!

jpeg28 · 20/05/2016 21:05

This might be a really stupid question but.... Is running during the TWW ok? It won't affect implantation right??

Miami81 · 20/05/2016 21:11

Jpeg If you are a runner already shouldn't have any impact?! I think. Everything I have read seems to back that up.

Brenna24 · 20/05/2016 23:45

What Miami said. If your body is already used to it, it really shouldn't make a difference.

Today I am really down and fed up for no apparent reason. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Miami81 · 21/05/2016 07:15

Brenna I hope today is a brighter day for you. Give yourself a break, you have been through the emotional wringer over the last few months.
Feeling a bit all over the place myself, thought from temps that i ovulated yesterday but temp this morning hasn't really stayed that high at 36.44, I had all the pains and everything yesterday so am not sure what's going on.
I gave up on OPK's as wasn't doing them consistently anyway, will maybe have to be more diligent next month.
Thought I was in the tww already but now maybe not?? Going to a beer festival later with loads of people that haven't seen me since I pointedly wasn't drinking. Awkward, but if in tww anyway maybe shouldn't be drinking either. I'm confused.
Any advice? Couple of half pints of beer through the day? Or just avoid it. We sold our car so I can't even drive for that excuse.....

Whatsername17 · 21/05/2016 07:25

Miami I abstained completely when we first started trying again after my mmc. After several months of constant disappointment I decided to stop putting my life on hold. I went out a week ago yesterday and drank 3 cointreau, lime and lemonades and a large glass of wine and soda. I got my bfp on Thursday. I spoke to my midwife and she told me not to worry at all because, at this point, the baby doesn't get anything from me. I think you can go ahead and drink the beer. I think relaxing a bit last month helped me. I'm grateful for gcse coursework deadlines and final exams because I stressed over that instead.

Miami81 · 21/05/2016 07:53

Thanks what's. I was kind of thinking that a couple of beers shouldn't have an impact.
I know there is loads of Internet chat about this kind of thing but there is a part of me that believes that if it is my time then it will happen. I have known people who didn't realise until very late (14 weeks) and she had carried on as normal and had a perfectly healthy baby (not suggesting that i will do that don't worry) just I think they are stronger then we think.
It is difficult though as all of it, caffeine, cheese, wine etc gives you something to focus on as the bad guy, when fundamentally it was just biology and it just didn't work......
So this week would have been my scan, so far only one Facebook announcement, due three days before I would have been, I think perhaps I have gotten off lightly?

jpeg28 · 21/05/2016 08:04

I know it's silly but I don't think I'm going to not do park run. I know it is probably going to make no difference but I think I'm going to go for a long walk instead.
If this month doesn't happen I'm not putting my life on hold anymore!!

Miami81 · 21/05/2016 08:32

Jpeg the most important thing is that you listen to your body. If you won't be comfortable doing the park run then don't. Have a great day anyway and be kind to yourself.

Brenna24 · 21/05/2016 09:25

Don't do it if you don't feel like it jpeg. A walk is just as good for you.

DDog has had some of his pills this morning, finally. Grin Hopefully he starts to feel better soon.

AmyB1986 · 21/05/2016 12:30

Hi all hope you're all ok...

JPEG Do what you feel comfortable with.

Good luck to all those with referrals and appointments with consultants.

I had a temp dip yesterday at 9dpo and a rise again this morning. Had a few cramps which have now gone off. I was sure last night I'd wake up to af but nothing. Not even a slight cramp.
Don't think it's implantation either. I'm not getting my hopes up at all. Due on in 2-5 days,

Grapefruit8 · 21/05/2016 13:45

Afternoon all! Hope you're all feeling okay. I know how easy it is to get disheartened- i miscarried in October same time as brenna and then November December January February all passed with nothing. I was getting obsessive over whether I shouldn't or shouldn't be drinking, the whole thing was dragging me down. But just keep the faith, it can happen and it WILL happen. I am almost 10 weeks, got my first appointment with the midwife on Tuesday. I have felt so so different with this pregnancy. Ive been so so nauseas, the tiredness has been overwhelming and I've vomited on more than one occasion (outside aldi last weekend- not a particular highlight although a lovely lady did come to help) Just wanted to send you all some love, it's happened for me, I know it will happen for you.

jodiebee664 · 21/05/2016 14:13

Thanks grapefruit, that's lovely and reassuring, glad all going well for you!
I was really going to try and not drink this month but then my bf got made redundant yesterday so went out for a drink with him last night....got to carry on living!
Happy thoughts to you all...hope the nausea passes soon grapefruit x

jpeg28 · 21/05/2016 14:29

So good to hear you're doing well grapefruit... I hope the nausea doesn't hang around too long!

Sorry about your bfs job jodie... I'm sure a few drinks won't make any difference.

I ended up having a 6 mile walk instead of the run. Topped off with some retail therapy too. Grin5dpo and feel like this is the longest two weeks of my life!

Brenna24 · 21/05/2016 17:27

Great to hear things are going well Grapefruit. Not so great about the nausea, hopefully it doesn't hang around that long.

So sorry about your bf's job jodie. The instability in teh job market at the moment is just awful. My Mum doesn't understand how hard things are now compared to when she and Dad were in work.

Well done on the walk jpeg.

9dpo here. The sore boobs have gone and been replaced by quite a crop of spots. I never get spots. I am not amused. I have a bit of cramping already as well. AF not due until friday.

AmyB1986 · 21/05/2016 20:29

Brenna we seem to be having skin breakouts together! I never get spots either. They're really painful too. I'm 10dpo according to FF and had cramps 9dpo like you but they've gone off today. I was sure af was going to some as I had a massive temp dip yesterday too.
