SMEP plan this month ?

Hi all,
Me and dh have decided to do the famous SMEP plan this month ! Anyone else attempting it ?
We were supposed to do it last month but life got in the way :)
A few stats age 27 ttc#1 cycle 2
Currently on cd3 starting the smep is plan on cd8

We decided to give it a go part way through the last cycle and then we're going to SMEP this month. Both my other children were conceived using SMEP though, so I'm def proof it works!

fiddlesticks I hear you! We had a very very early start yesterday morning (day 14), he's not here today but is back early tomorrow morning - thank god as my opks are suddenly much darker today. So as soon as he gets through that door tomorrow morning it will be jazzy pants off :)

Hoping the darker lines means egg is coming tomorrow and we can get a shag in first thing. Fingers crossed...

Jem I'm admiring your dedication! Brought my OPKs away with me and thankfully today it's still negative! Will bonk tomorrow night when I get in then working closer to home Thursday and Friday so hopefully will coincide with the LH surge/shagathon!!

It's such a relief when the OPKs go your way isn't it fiddlesticks.

DH is running late so I've been a bit naughty and told work I've got a GP appointment and will be late too. It's stressing me out to lie, but I think I'd be stressed out all day today thinking about my poor egg getting away with no sperm to greet her!

Hey Nicky yep we DTD yesterday morning and again this morning. I'm knackered! I do quite enjoy intense sex week though, it defo brings us closer as a couple. Not just physically!

Thats true jen ! Lets just hope all our effort pay off this month ;) did you get a positive opk yesterday ?
I know my ov is usually the 14th . I have been to my gynecologist last june on the 14th day of my cycle for general check ups and a smear test and he could see the egg on the scan .
I have been using opks for a second month now and just like last month my positive opk is on cd13 so i am sure the eggy will be out tomorrow ! Lets hope we catch it !

I got a positive yesterday - it got darker Tuesday (day 14) and peaked yesterday (day 15)

Wow! I think I need to up my OPK game, looking at yours I can't believe how much they change from test to test, really makes it easy to identify peaks.

Update - just done OPK and I'm starting to lose hope that I'm going to ovulate - just another empty circle. I know that's dramatic but it shows just how bloody wrong Ovia can be, I'm cd12, ov score 9, supposedly ov'ing tomorrow but still no LH surge....

Makes me glad to be using OPKs this cycle but also nervous that it might not happen, if it doesn't happen soon I'm going to be in the short luteal phase bracket as my cycles are 26days.

Fiddle are u using clearblue ? I got circles up to day 12 with very faint line and then on day 13 a solid smiley face with very strong line .

Yes Nicky it's clearblue. Fingers crossed for tomorrow then, that would be quite handy tbf at least then the shagathon would be over the weekend, we could even try for twice a day on Saturday

I was at the same position as you last cycle i was worried that the line didnt get any darker and on the 13th it got very dark straight away . Dont know what that means really but as i said i have done scans and i know i usually ovulate on the 14th ( cycles are 27 to 28 days usually) so clear blue guesses ovulation 24 hours prior i guess

I'm using the clear blue digitals this month. I'm on cd8 and started yesterday because I had a bit of ewcm. Can see me getting fed up of that empty circle even though over is days away!

Hi guys I'm still lurking and sending you positive vibes! Fiddles I had short cycles of 26/27 days and ovulated between CD15-17 leaving me with a ten day luteal phase. That's actually just about OK even though some searches tell you 12 days is normal. Don't start panicking just yet as it really could be fine even if you OV later.

fiddles I'm a bit bloody mental with the old opks it's the first time I've used them and now I'm like an addict. They really fluctuate though!

Dtd last night, OPK this morning with FMU but still an empty circle, going to start OPK'ing twice daily now up to ov. Again though, I'm really pleased to use OPK given Ovia has marked me as ov'ing today with my fertility score going back down as of tomorrow! Hoping paying too much attention to their predicted dates is where I went wrong last cycle, it feels good to be taking charge of identifying ov for myself.

Cd14 here i tested again this morning and an empty circle showed up :not sure if that means i ovulated or not :p
Nevertheless i will continue to drd but to dtd until saturday now still on track with the smep plan .
Really hope its my month thiugh cause if i dont get a bfp this month i dont think there is anything i can improve on next month !

Hi Nicky yes definitely dtd, sounds like you're sticking to the plan well! Are you going to continue testing too in case some more smileys pop up?
