Hi all,
Me and dh have decided to do the famous SMEP plan this month ! Anyone else attempting it ?
We were supposed to do it last month but life got in the way :)
A few stats age 27 ttc#1 cycle 2
Currently on cd3 starting the smep is plan on cd8

Fiddle i use clear blue in the instructions it says fmu or if you do it later in the afternoon u have to make sure is concentrated enough so not much liquids and not peeig for 3 4 hours .
I do it with fmu as is more convinient than holding my pee for 4 hours :p

Hi ladies. I just wanted to say the SMEP works (even without one for luck)! I got my BFP this morning at 10DPO. Am quite shocked and it's still really early days so am trying to temper my excitement but a lines a line! Been feeling all kinds of weird the last few days and my temps went way up after Friday which must have been implantation. Keeping my fx for you all and sending loads of baby dust to you all xx

Thought it would take longer than this and had resigned myself to another few months of craziness - to be honest I guess it's just a different kind of craziness now!
He had to leave for work at 5am this morning which is unusual and I'd promised myself I'd wait until tomorrow as AF due then and we're both working at home...but of course I couldn't so I just had to phone him and tell him. He wouldn't believe me fully until I sent a photo and then he just kept saying 'wow', 'wow'. I think he's feeling secretly pleased with himself at this point!
What CD are you today Nicky? Have you started the SMEPing!?

I may not be out of this cycle yet. A teeny bit of spotting on Saturday and agin Sunday mom ring but nothing since. BFN still though. So it's knicker-checking ahoy here!

Hop3 haha you sound just as impatient as me i would want to see the look on his face when i told him but i am sure i would do the same .
I am on cd10 so long way to go still
Dtd on cd8 and started opk today i am expectinrg to get a positive opk on cd13 !
His friend might be staying over the weekend as he has a connecing flight . Tha is not very convinient and i hope we stay on track with the SMEP plan

I think AF was due on Saturday just gone, but not sure on dates as I wasn't really 'trying' when the cycle started.

I remember when I finished AF as I was leaving for Paris, and packed sanitary towels but didn't need them in the end as I'd finished. So I know the date last AF finished but guesstimated when it started and how long a usual cycle is for me since I had my daughter.

So, all to play for! Hopes dashed and raised again here! Cautiously hopeful.

Hi all, Jem here, it's my third cycle of TTC1 and I thought I would give SMEP a go too. So far we have DTD on CD8, 9, 11 and 13 (today). OPKS daily but no surge yet. Lines are just getting slightly darker today.

Only slight cat in the pigeons is my DH is now away until Weds morning - but as long as we DTD when he walks through the door, we are still on track for every other day.

For some reason him being out of the country still makes me feel like we've missed it this month. Been watching conception videos on YouTube to convince myself that every other day is enough!

Congratulations hop here's to a happy healthy 9 months for you.

Hi Jem sounds like it's so far so good for you guys! We've also got travel struggles, DH is out tonight with work but as of 4am tomorrow I'm gone until late Wednesday night. We didn't dtd yesterday, tried to squeeze a quickie in just now before he left but he couldn't perform under pressure!!

That means we dtd on days 6 & 7, not 8 but we agreed I'll stay up a bit later tonight to wait for him to get in and we'll give it another go without any time pressure hopefully it will go a little better! I might have to crack out some jazzy undies to get his head back in the game!!! The things we do for babies hey...!

If we can do tonight then he'll stay up late on weds and we'll just be on odd numbers instead of evens, maybe dtd on Thursday too to get back to evens before hopefully a positive OPK comes later in the week!

It's terrible isn't it!!! Imagine if we got lucky and decades down the line I think our kids would be wishing the ground would swallow them up knowing mum put on naughty knickers to woo their dad into dtd so they could be conceived

When dh and I were ttc dd we thought we had to dtd every day. We started on cd6 and by CD 13 dh was flagging and started talking about needing a night off so I arranged that he would 'catch' me watching a cheesy American soft core porn show called 'Sexetera'. It worked, but the next day he started talking about how surprising and sexy it was that I got so turned on watching it. To ensure that there was no chance of him needing to 'rest', we ended up watching actual porn for the following two nights . It worked but, yup, pretending porn is oh so sexy is how we got dd. I've got nothing against porn but, boy did it make the sex long winded!

Well we got there in the end! I had to stay up late and am now up early to head to the airport but fx it will all be worthwhile! Now roll on 6am so I can sleep on the plane!!

All sounds good!

Still no AF and no spotting at all yesterday so am hoping it maybe was implantation bleeding? Extensive googling tells me I need to wait until at least tomorrow to have a chance of a positive test (2-7 days after spotting began apparently)
