Fantastic news cupcake Grin well done!

I looked at the Chinese chart for dd1 and ds and it was correct, didn't look this time though. How many weeks are you now ?

LuluJakey1 · 22/07/2016 18:10

We are going on holiday on Monday. Can't wait. Am not lookng forward to the journey but once we get there it'll be great.
Two flights - both short. Then a 2 hour drive. PIL's friend have a grandson DS 's age so they will be waiting at the airport with their old car and a car seat and there is stuff in the house for DS. They are doing a shop for us and we'll pay them. Then we've got 3 weeks alone. It's a really rural village. The house has a swimming pool so that will be great for DS. It is walled off so he'll be safe. It isn't far from the coast and from Cognac. I am so looking forward to going again- it is where DH and I spent our first holiday and our honeymoon.
We have made some friends - Guy who owns the vineyard and the big house - and a middle-aged French couple Jacques and Jacquie, and an elderly English ex-pat couple who are like a throwback to the 1950s and very lovely. She is called Bunty and just makes me giggle with stories about being a nurse in the navy after the war. She talks about 'gels' and they are women in their late 80s. They are terribly posh. They will love DS, they haven't met him yet.
It is very peaceful- fields of sunflowers and olive groves and little towns with big rivers slowly flowing through them. We have been talking about it for weeks.
I've had my hair cut really short so I don't have to do anything to it. DH has had his done on a number3 and it just looks like thick grey stubble. The beard has gone too. DS has had a trim!

Cupcake92 · 22/07/2016 21:55

I go in on Monday to hand in ID for my crb and as soon as that's back I do my weeks training at the hospital and then start straight after :) so excited!

Ducky, I'm 6+3! It's going super slow!
How are u feeling?

Lulu how exciting!! I hope I have a lovely time, tho I'm sure u all will! :)
I've also had my hair cut very short lulu. I've had it cut into a short bob. It's very different not sure I like it yet!

Mine is really shory Cupcake - like a boy crop. It can't be dried with a brush because it is so short. I think a quick towel dry will do it. Grin
I have managed to lose 12lbs too so am feeling very happy with myself- thinnest I have been in 8 years. DH has never seen me this thin. (I am still a size 14). TBH he isn't bothered what I weigh as long as I am happy. He's not exactly SlimJim himself. I am sort of straight up and down now - lost some tummy and midriff. Have had to buy some new clothes. Grin Not lots - just jeans and some cropped trousers, a couple of pairs of shorts and a dress. I have plenty of tops that I can wear. New swimming costume - not a bikini. Don't think I will ever wear a bikini.

Will you get full maternity leave and pay at your new job Cupcake? It sounds like something that could turn into a career - is it called phlebotomist (the person who takes the blood)? My old neighbour used to be one.

DS didn't go to bed until after 8 tonight so we are hoping he sleeps late in the morning and we get a lie in.

duckyisback · 23/07/2016 20:44

So happy for you cupcake Grin

I have had my hair cut off too, it's a bob but longer at the front iyswim.

I'm 22+3 now, feels really slow here too! Still not feeling much movement Sad have another scan in 2 weeks so I Spose I'll know more then.

Cupcake92 · 24/07/2016 22:28

Oh wow lulu that's great! Bet u feel fantastic! :)
I'm not too sure about the maternity pay yet, but I'm sure I'll get it. I'll certainly get more than I did with ds2.
And yes a phlebotomist is someone who takes blood :) I'm not one of those tho. I'm a healthcare assistant, but yes it's something to make a career out of. I can slowly train to be an assistant practitioner. Which doesn't everything a nurse does minus prescriptions. And then if I wanted I could do my diploma to become a nurse.

Hope ds slept in for u!

Ducky that's exactly like my hair atm. I want to dye it purple tho. Just don't know who I'm gonna go about doing that yet!
Is that because of where ur placenta is positioned ducky?
I'm sure everything will be fine on your next scan.
I have 5 weeks till my 12 week scan! Sad it's so so far away!!

Oooh cupcake, I am just waiting for my due to turn up! Hopefully it comes today because my hair is a mess! It's a washed out pink at the moment. Have attached a pic of the colour I just ordered, it's a purply one.

Yes I think it's just because of my placenta. Although yesterday afternoon I felt her for the first time from the outside Smile

Cupcake92 · 25/07/2016 07:15

Oh my god! What colour is that? I love it!!!!

Awww that's great ducky!! :) I didn't feel ds2 for a long time. I bet it was exciting to feel her! :)

Ds2 is like a squeaky mouse this morning. Keeps making sweeping noises and then laughing. He's got so much energy!
Ds1 on the other hand is in bed still. Had to leave him in bed and come down to feed ds2 his breakfast. Grin

OP posts:
duckyisback · 25/07/2016 10:12

It's a directions one cupcake, called dark tulip. I bet it won't come out on my hair like that though.

Oh wow go ds1! Has his sleep improved now?

What type of things did you get for ds1 for Christmas/birthdays when he was 2? I know it's very early but I like to spread the cost but have no idea what to get ds for his birthday Hmm he loves Thomas the tank engine at the moment but he changes his mind very quickly.

Cupcake92 · 25/07/2016 19:00

Might have to have a look at that colour it's so nice :)

His sleep has improved a bit yes, he wakes up once every single night tho. But that is so much better than several times in a night. How's ur ds doing with sleep?

When ds was turning 2 he got an electric quad bike which he loves and still plays on now!
Also got him a small play tent and balls and made it a little ball pit.
Also an easel (sp?) so he can draw pictures on with chalk.
Ummmm sticker books, a walking talking minion as he's obsessed with them Grin

Getting him his first push bike this year :) it's his birthday in like 3 weeks Grin he's also got a new Wendy house and a slide too.
Going to also take him to cadburys world on his birthday! Grin now I know he'll love that as he's a chocolate monster!

OP posts:
duckyisback · 25/07/2016 19:32

He's not 2 until December! But I like to be organised and spread the cost as he's 2 then it's Christmas and I will have 2!

Can't believe your ds is turning 3 Shock it seems to have gone so quick!

Yes the colours are pretty cheap on e bay if you have a look, just search for directions hair dye, you can get the tubs for £2/3. They're only semi permanent so need re doing every few weeks but they're good for price and colours etc. And anything you don't use you can just pop the lid back on and re use it later. Smile

duckyisback · 25/07/2016 19:53

Oh my ds is doing really well, most nights he sleeps through until 5.45, which is a definite improvement! He went bad again when he was poorly but that is too be expected! A couple of days ago he slept until 6.40am! That's the most sleep id had in At least 2 years!

Cupcake92 · 25/07/2016 21:34

It's a good idea to spread the cost ducky. I bet it helps a lot on the financial side!
Gosh can u believe ull have 2 DC's by xmas! Shock
It'll come round fast before u know it!

Yes I know he's growing up :( he goes to school next year in September as soon as he turns 4! Sad

I'll have a look at those hair dyes :) been wanting a really nice purple for ages now.

Omg ducky! That's brilliant about ur ds and his sleep!! Woo!!! Go ds! :)

Eugh I'm getting fed up of being so hungry, making a really nice dinner, then start eating it and feel like im going to throw up! Sad I end up throwing most my dinner away but I'm so hungry!! Just can't eat properly as the nausea is so bad :(

OP posts:
duckyisback · 27/07/2016 06:26

I had that cupcake but it only lasted for a week or so which was strange. It was bloody horrible thought Sad I would end up giving my dinner to the dogs every night.

OMG your ds is starting school next year! That's mad!

I've had tonsillitis and this cold ds had and it's horrible. Feel like crap. But what's worse is h has got it (kind of, he sniffled the other day) so it's the end of the world, he's so ill. He's worse than anyone apparently. He even went to work and went and spoke to his boss about how ill he was Blush

Cupcake92 · 27/07/2016 19:31

I hope mine only lasts a week. I feel awful :( it's really bad today.

Yes school! Just 1 year to go it feels so unreal. He's my big baby!!

Oh no I hope u feel better soon ducky :( n that's always the case with men. Even Hayfever is a near death situation for them!!

OP posts:
duckyisback · 29/07/2016 11:42

How you feeling cupcake? When did you say your due date is?

I've started looking at pushchairs. Think I'm getting an oyster this time.

Have brought a few things now so it feels real Blush

Cupcake92 · 29/07/2016 12:41

Still feeling very nauseous ! Finding it hard to take my folic acid as its making me feel worse. I take it at night but then can't sleep as I feel like throwing up Grin

My due date is 14th March! So long away! Have my booking in apt next week

Oo they are lovely prams :) I like the oysters.

Have u got any names in mind ducky?
I know it's early but I have a boys name but I'd have no idea about a girls name! I like very different names. Roman is my boys name :) I'm most likely having a boy again Grin

Hello you two.

We are on holiday. Have just had lunch and DH has taken DS for a toddle round the field and swim. I am sitting in the sun.

I think we should just stay here. DH could work in the vineyard and sunflower fields and I could look after DS all day. No stress. DH is less keen on that scenario than I am. Would be more keen if it paid a wage we could live on

Cupcake92 · 31/07/2016 10:21

Glad ur having a good time lulu! And I don't blame u for wanting to stay and make a life there! I wish I was away right now. Now I'm not on my tablets my anxiety and depression are coming back and I'm feeling awful. Feel like I just don't want to be in this house or city as the memories are always there. N I'm finding it impossible to move and worrying about signing ds1 up for school in September as I need to move to get in the catchment area first :/

Just wish I could afford a little getaway for me and the DC's !

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 01/08/2016 09:55

Cupcake, depression and anxiety are awful. I think you can take citalopram when you are pregnant- have you checked?

Hope you are feeling better today. Flowers

duckyisback · 01/08/2016 10:31

That's a nice boys name cupcake. I haven't decided on a name yet. When I was pregnant with ds I could think of girls names but not boys, now I'm pregnant with a dd I can think of boys names but not girls!

Hope the anxiety has wore off a bit Flowers

Glad your having a nice time lulu. How long are you there for?

I'm not happy at all, as I said before me and h are having bad problems again, I'm currently trying to save to get me and ds somewhere. H has realised that we are having problems even though I repeatedly tell him he's gone mad at me to delete social media (he doesn't know about mn Halo) and has started telling everyone that he's done nothing wrong and I am just suffering from pnd. AngryAngryAngryAngryAngry he's even trying to convince me of it!!! Wtf is this? I do not have pnd. I'm happy when I'm away from him! But he's keeping me prisoner at the moment!

Cupcake92 · 02/08/2016 20:53

Lulu I'm seeing my midwife Thursday so going to mention it to her, I feel a little better until today where I nearly got hit on a busy roundabout by a van. If I wasn't paying attention and saw he wasn't stopping anytime soon, and hadn't moved forward slightly he would have hit me. Another car hit him from behind tho. He's wasn't paying attention. It shook me up as it was the same place where I had that car crash before.... Then lost the baby :(
But I'm just thankful I moved forward before he hit me.
Stupid drivers.
Hope ur holiday is going well!' Are u back yet?

Ducky he's being such an ass!! Angry u need to breakaway from him fast and get the well deserved peace u need! Sounds like he's trying hard to control u :/

Well my morning (all day more like!) sickness hasn't worn off at all yet. I'm lay here now in bed feeling awful. It feels like I'm waiting for a time bomb to go off and I'm sick. But I'm never sick! I wanna be sick so this feeling goes away !! :( :(
My other pregnancies weren't like this at all. 4 weeks till I'm 12 weeks and I'm hoping it goes then!

LuluJakey1 · 03/08/2016 00:15

No, we are here for another two weeks Cupcake. It is very hot Blush (that is me over-heated)
We are having a lovely time. DS has been so good - apart from when he wants to do things by himself and isn't allowed to, like going in the pool. He loves all the little lizards that live everywhere.
We have been to the beach this afternoon and he went rockpooling with DH. They saw crabs and small fish and DH said DS was fascinated.
He is exhausted every night and sleeping well. DH and I are just having a lovely time together- chilled out and lots of laughs.
Our friends who live in the village came and babysat DS last night and we went out to a nearby little town and had dinner outside and there was dancing. It was very romantic. We stayed out until almost 1pm. We didn't drink a lot, it was just very relaxing and we danced quite a bit- very old-fashioned stuff. Grin The French like outdoor dining and dancing. You see middle-aged couples who obviously go out for dinner and a dance together in the summer. The music was a little band who played all old-fashioned French songs and classics. There was a couple who must have been local because everyone stood back when the band started one tune and they did a Tango. It was very sexy stuff, very French and cool and everyone cheered and clapped. They must have been in their late 50s.
Rain is forecast tomorrow which might cool things down a bit. We could do with it. I can't sleep because we caught quite a big centipede thing running across our bedroom floor We managed to get it into a glass and put it outside and have closed the window and turned the fan on but I can't settle - it ran like lightning.

That is awful about that car driver. It's a good job you had your eye on things- he obviously didn't. I like the name Roman. Hope your midwife can help with the anxiety. Have you heard anything about starting your new job?

Ducky - sorry to hear about your DH. It was worth another try, at least you know you gave it your best shot. It will be hard in a flat though. Are you looking to share or get something by yourself?

duckyisback · 03/08/2016 07:40

Sounds scary cupcake, no wonder it's shaken you up, especially with what happened before. Have you tried them wrist bands for sickness?

Lulu sounds like your having a lovely time! I'm planning on getting somewhere on my own. Think I need some time alone as I have been with him since I was 16. I've never lived alone Blush
