Hi Mrs, I've never spotted so don't think I can be much help, really sorry. What makes you think you're ovulating early? Are you still getting follicle tracking and are you still on clomid? Have your clinic said when you should start taking the progesterone? x

Hi Mrs, I haven't had follicle tracking but I gauge ovulation by OPKs and by tracking bbt. I start taking cyclogest 2-3 days after ovulation and my LP basically lasts as long as I keep taking the progesterone. I test at 14dpo and then when I stop taking the progesterone I get AF about 3 days later so my LP is about 15 days.

Think I mentioned that I got slight wind and upset stomach with cyclogest (sorry tmi) but nothing too awful. Good luck Mrs, let me know how you get on x

Hi ladies I'm hoping I might be in the right place (but feel free to tell me I'm totally wrong!).

I'm on a couple of other threads but noticed this one. I'm currently on cycle 16, TTC #1 and might have a short LP...

Currently 8dpo (according to temps - only started temping this cycle) and started spotting yesterday. Last cycle was the same - I do normally spot before but the last 2 have started very early. Does this mean I have a short LP?! Consultant said my progesterone level was normal..

I'm in the unexplained infertility camp and due to start IUI next month so was planning to ask about progesterone at my appointment on 1st July.

Just wondered if there was anyone on this thread with spotting experience!

Smile

Thanks Mrs! Good to know there are others out there like me (although sorry you have it!!). I've never even had a sniff of a bfp Sad I came off the pill January 2015. I did get spotting before the pill many moons ago but only for a day or 2.

Fingers crossed for you that the progesterone works! Did you have tests? I was told mine were normal but I'm going to find out the exact result on 1st July.

Friendlycav · 16/06/2016 12:01

I was prescribed about 2 cycles of progesterone but my clinic have been fine with me going back to get repeat prescriptions. I'm giving it a rest this cycle as DH is away but will continue next cycle and if no luck might request clomid as the next step.

Maple - welcome! Sorry to hear you've been ttc without luck. I've been trying for about the same amount of time, I'm utterly fed up! That's great that you are trying IUI, good luck and let us know how your appt on 1st July goes x

Welcome Maple, I would be interested to hear how you get on with IUI. At my NHS appt we were told they no longer do this and go straight to IVF, but am thinking of going down the private route for it. I've been ttc the same amount of time as you too, since the start of last year, without even a hint of a BFP. It totally sucks doesnt it Sad

This cycle I'm using natural progesterone cream, its 6DPO today and the last few days have been having quite a bit of cm that I never usually get. I gave up symptom spotting long ago, but wondered if its a side effect of the progesterone cream or perhaps even the chinese herbs Hmm

maplebaby · 16/06/2016 18:15

Thanks friendly will do! Have a city break planned next week so have things to keep my mind off the wait - the appointment can't come quick enough!

Mrs it totally sucks doesn't it! The baby bombs are killers. I know how to create a thread but feel I shouldn't as the newbie! Also no idea how to link to the old thread!

Sunshine it's so nice to be able to rant and talk to people going through this same shitty journey. Will def let you know how the IUI goes - I get 3 rounds of medicated IUI (clomid and trigger) before IVF at mine. I have my appointment to go through everything with the fertility nurse on 1st and then I should start on the cycle after that which will be end of July.

I started pregnacare this month as well as acupuncture so hoping that will help me out too!

Thanks for the tips Mrs! I've never taken it before. They might put me on gonal f but I reckon they will start me off on clomid first. Looking forward to it actually (despite the side effects) as I will feel like I'm doing something.

Sunshine did you buy the progesterone yourself or did the clinic prescribe it?

Mrs Flowers it must be really hard. I can't pretend to know how it feels but thinking of you.

Friendlycav · 17/06/2016 08:46

Well done for getting through the day Mrs, it must have been very hard Flowers

I'm going to look in to IUI too, I would have to go private though as its not covered by the NHS in my area. Maple, do you know much about the process?

I wrote a reply and lost it!

So for me I'm having Superovulation and IUI (medicated IUI basically). I have my appointment with the fertility nurse on 1st July to go through everything and get my prescription of clomid (or gonal f but I think clomid more common). Then I have to call on CD1 of my cycle and she'll advise when to start clomid and also book me in for a scan on around CD12.

I think they keep monitoring with scans until follies big enough and then should get a trigger shot.
Back in 36 hours later with DH for him to provide a sample which is then washed so the best are left and then inseminated (through a tube that goes up the cervix and swimmers placed as high up near tubes as possible)! Then the tww begins!

Will obviously have more details on 1st but that's what I know Smile I'm also on another thread with some ladies who are having IUI / clomid and timed intercourse.

maplebaby · 17/06/2016 17:19

Started a new thread all hope you don't mind Smile
