Still a fan of go private and ask for progesterone to be prescribed if the nhs won't give you it, also preseed was the one for me on both occasions , could have been coincidence that both time I used it I got a bfp. I'd use it again.

Heading for 31 weeks now, having weekly check ups as I find it difficult to feel him but all seems to be going ok so far. Still cautious even as I head towards the finish line...

Funny as I'm convinced I ovulate one side stronger than the other too.

Thanks for the tip on preseed Mascara and good luck with your last few weeks. I can imagine the caution never really goes away. I've used preseed a few times but was worried it might 'dilute' DH's swimmers so had given up on it. You've inspired me to give it another go. Mrs, you can buy it on Amazon x

sunshinegirl12 · 13/05/2016 18:33

Mascara, glad all is going well, not long now. Smile Unfortunately it hasn't been as easy for me as go private and request progesterone as I've spent a small fortune now on private appts and always get refused progesterone, which panics me with the low AMH score as I'm running out of time. I'm fairly sure it would get me my BFP but without the prescription I'm stuck Sad

Mrsunsure, you can order pre-seed on amazon, we use it every cycle but unfortunately hasnt helped. I'm also going to be strict with the no alcohol/caffeine, chinese herbs, apimist, vit D, Co Q10 and pregnacare, for atleast the next 90 days to see if it does help my egg quality. x

Hm sunshine, that's so frustrating. Depends where you live? I live in the midlands so could recommend my consultant but not sure if you live anywhere near.

Preseed doesn't dilute but makes it ideal conditions PH wise and helps the swimmers move along to their destination (even though it feels like otherwise when using it)! Can't say it was the best, but did the job both times. As I say maybe coincidence but worth a go.

sunshinegirl12 · 15/05/2016 09:42

Thanks Mascara, but I live in the South East so a bit far away. It is so frustrating as I'm fairly sure progesterone would help but as my results at 7dpo were ok no one will give it a go. Sad x

Glad it seems to be helping you Mrs.

I've had a few private appointments now, and a NHS one. My progesterone result was in the 60's and I usually have a 10/11 day luteal phase so as far as they are concerned progesterone/luteal phase is not the issue (although my acupuncturist stongly disagrees), I just have a feeling that although my progesterone gets to a good enough level it drops too quickly. It seems that the consultants (both private and NHS) would like me to go straight to IUI/IVF.

I've got a holiday planned for 3 months time from now so I'm going to use that as my milestone to be good and get the quality of my eggs as good as I can and hopefully that in turn will boost everything else (am I clutching at straws?!) Started the apimist and chinese herbs this morning Hmm

Hi all, hoping to join this group. I am TTC#2 and have been off the pill for 9 months. I have been tracking ovulation for 3 months and am now worried I have a short luteal phase as I get a surge on CD 16/17 but my cyle is only 24 or 26 days (it alternates). I have been very down about not conceiving quickly as my first was unplanned and now I am freaking out that there is a problem. Should I get to the doctor pronto??

Thanks for your response Mrs unsure. I am in the south (isle of wight) so no idea what they will or won't do. I never tracked before as I conceived my first rather accidently so figured I must be very fertile! Going to give it another bash this month as looks like LH is getting stronger(changed OPK to cheaper ones with lines rather than a face and the second line was still lighter than control but not massively) but hubby is away until tomorrow night!! Will go from there. As an alternative, has anyone tried acupuncture to help? Any successes?

sunshinegirl12 · 21/05/2016 19:01

Hi Jess, welcome.

I agree with what mrsunsure said and would probably get to the drs, I think at the least they will offer you day 3 and day 21 bloods to check your hormone levels.

I've been having acupuncture for the last 3 cycles, although I find it really relaxing (which is a miracle in itself as I'm terrified of needles) tbh it doesn't seem to have changed my cycle in any way. I've now started my first cycle using chinese herbs along side the acupuncture so will see what happens.

So reassuring to have this thread, even just to know I am not the only person going through this! Think I am due to ovulate any day now as OPK was particularly strong yesterday PM so hoping to DTD tonight & over next few days and await the outcome. Taking 7 seas supplements atm which have b6 and vit c but don't know if enough. Going to look into acupuncture, chasteberry and get an appointment with doc if unsuccessful this month! Who knew trying to get pregnant was such hard work!!
