Hi MrsMugoo, wow 31 weeks! I hope you are feeling well and thanks for sticking around on this thread. I just tested after my 2nd cycle of Cyclogest, 14dpo and BFN. It's a pretty bitter pill to swallow but onwards and upwards and will try again next cycle. I'm going to book my HSG so at least it feels like I'm doing something else to help things. Hope everyone else is doing ok x

OrianaBanana · 07/04/2016 09:34

Nice to see you mrsmugoo! And sorry Friendlycav. Sad

I've had a very weird period, 2 days of light bleeding and one of spotting, no period pains, temp is hovering at the cover line but going no lower, BFN. Maybe I didn't really ovulate 'properly'.

GP appt to just discuss referral not til 27th and now I've been told I need three fillings and possibly root canal - dates all complicated by TTC of course although the likelihood of me actually being pregnant in the tww is extremely slim.

sigh Cake

Sorry to hear you got bfn Friendly, its so disheartening isnt it. Are you going to book your HSG privately or through the NHS? I'm on CD11 today, usually ovulate CD12, and just about feeling ready to start DTD tonight, although as I haven't been temping or using OPKs this month I'm hoping I haven't missed it. Confused

Nice to hear from you MrsMugoo, glad all is going well.

Friendlycav · 07/04/2016 14:34

So disheartening. I still haven't got my referral through from the NHS so will need to book the HSG privately. Still no AF but if last cycle is anything to go by, it will take 2-3 days for AF to show after my last dose of cyclogest. Hope you feel better Sunshine and feel ready for dtd tonight! It must be refreshing to take a break from OPKing and temping, I wish I could to the same but with DH working away during the week, I have to know my fertile window to give us any chance Hmm

Hang in there Oriana x

mascaraisamust · 07/04/2016 18:18

Sorry for the bfns ladies, there has to be one soon! We are long overdue on this thread. You are all doing the right thing and I'm sure you'll get there soon. Got everything crossed for you! X

Mrs, 31 weeks wow! You are on the countdown! Things are starting to get real here now. 26 weeks on Monday, I'm big! People keep asking me if I'm due, as in imminently - shame I've got a good 3 months left yet Shock still a bag of nerves, still won't believe it until he is here!

Don't worry Mrs, 1hr 15 will be absolutely fine for the SA sample plus they will have asked when the sample was produced and factor the results accordingly so don't worry! I would expect you to get your blood test results within a week so I would definitely chase that up. Funny you should mention about referrals and contacting the hospital directly.. I spoke to GP secretary today who actually gave me the name of the referral gynae clinic and contact number, if only they'd told me that 3 weeks ago! I called them constantly from 4pm today but engaged or no reply so will have to try again tomorrow Angry

I wonder if they will suggest clomid for me next. I am a twin and we were conceived after my mum took clomid so maybe it will work for me too! Have to stay positive about all this or I will go mad. So glad you are feeling more balanced Mrs x

sunshinegirl12 · 07/04/2016 20:40

Hopefully the SA will be ok Mrsunsure.

Friendly, are you still having acupuncture/herbs? I think I'm starting the herbs from next cycle and although I haven't noticed any difference in my cycle, I do love going and always feel better for having a chat with her about ttc and how I'm feeling. I have definitely felt more positive since going.

After my blood test and HSG they told me the full results will be discussed when I book a follow up appt with my consultant but don't really want to pay out another £130 for this as I know my tubes are ok it doesn't really seem worth it, and hopefully I'll be able to get the AMH results over the phone. Its all getting a bit expensive. x

sunshinegirl12 · 07/04/2016 20:42

Friendly, meant to say hope you manage to speak to someone tomorrow about your referral.

Mascara, glad to hear you're doing well, 26 weeks, that time has flown!! x

Friendlycav · 07/04/2016 20:56

I'm still taking the herbs. Really not convinced they are doing anything but I'm going to persevere. I went to acupuncture every week for about 3 months. At first I found it relaxing but my acupuncturist doesn't have the best bedside manner so although she took a lot of interest I me, I left a couple of sessions feeling tearful and stressed (eg. she placed a lot of emphasis on my high FSH levels) so have decided to focus on other things like improving my diet, eating organic etc Acupuncture was costing £55 per week so it was really beginning to add up. I have a seperate Chinese herbalist who I meet with at the end of each cycle and have found her much more positive about everything and that's what I need at the moment! Great news that your tubes are ok Sunshine x

sunshinegirl12 · 07/04/2016 21:19

Thats not good that she made you feel that way Friendly, I think I'm quite lucky as my appts almost double as a counselling session which has helped as we haven't told anyone else we're ttc. Its all so hard isnt it Sad x

Friendlycav · 07/04/2016 21:27

So glad to hear you are getting a lot out of your sessions Sunshine.. you absolutely have to speak to someone about ttc or you will go crazy xx

Sounds like you are in a much better head space Mrs, really good news. Fingers crossed for you x

AF arrived today and I've had a horrid hormonal migraine, talk about double whammy :(

I finally got through to the NHS clinic yesterday (GP referred me 5 weeks ago) and they said they had my details on file but would only book me in for an appointment once the consultant had agreed to see me (seems like all people on the waiting list are prioritised based on medical history). I was told that someone will call me but they couldn't say how long the wait will be. Feels like I'm getting nowhere fast so will call to book an HSG privately on Monday.

That's brilliant news Mrs, fingers crossed for you x

I haven't received any questionnaires or anything from the NHS. I've been trying for 18 months and think the requirement for IVF is 3 years in my area so don't think I'm going to be seen any time soon. Think it's too late to fib and say I've been trying longer. Arrghhh!

sunshinegirl12 · 11/04/2016 18:40

Friendly, I didn't receive a questionaire at all before my NHS appointment, just a letter to say when it was. Have you booked the HSG? x

mascaraisamust · 11/04/2016 18:56

Mrs fingers crossed for you, great news! Keep chilled, love the positivity.

Friendly you should still be able to have investigations even if IVF wait is three years.

Hoping for some good news this cycle for you ladies!

Friendlycav · 11/04/2016 19:06

Thnaks Mascara, fingers crossed.

I really can't decide what to do about the HSG Sunshine. The clinic only has appts on Mon & Tues and they're fully booked this week. I can't miss work next Mon and worried that Tues might be too close to ovulation - that will be cd11 and I ovulated cd12 last cycle. I'm thinking of getting some further scans (AFC) done this cycle and postponing HSG til next cycle when hopefully the dates will fall better. How are you doing? x

sunshinegirl12 · 11/04/2016 19:18

Whats AFC Friendly? I would probably leave it until next cycle too then, hopefully you will feel ok but I felt horrible after mine and really wasn't in the mood to DTD for about 3 days after.

I'm good thanks, CD15 for me though not sure exactly when I ovulated as taken a more relaxed approach this month and have also been taking agnus castus again as last time it gave me a longer cycle.

We are going away with family next week and its usually quite boozy, and there's a hot tub which I would usually spend hours in, but as it'll be during the 2ww (esp after the HSG) I really don't want to ruin my chances but also don't want my family guessing. Hmm I've been trying to think of excuses...

Friendlycav · 11/04/2016 19:49

AFC is Antral Follicle Count (it's another test for checking the ovarian reserve) and think they check it by an ultrasound scan. I had an ultrasound on the NHS but it was really v basic and they didn't measure AFC so think I'll get that done privately this cycle and see what happens..

Sorry to hear you felt so rotten after your HSG Sunshine. Well done on your relaxed approach, hope some of that runs off on me! If I was to take my own advice I'd say don't stop living and enjoy some drinks with your family on holiday but I know easier said than done x

sunshinegirl12 · 11/04/2016 20:16

Oh I haven't heard of that before. Have you had the AMH blood test? x

Friendlycav · 11/04/2016 20:28

No not yet, that is on my list too! x
