Sorry to hear AF arrived for you today too sunshinegirl12 but I hope you are having a wonderful holiday and being away has taken your mind off things..

Mrsmugoo quite an interesting article here about progesterone cream and where to put it. It didn't make any difference to me this cycle but only started using it cd19 out of a 24 day cycle so maybe I didn't start using it early enough natural-fertility-info.com/progesterone-cream-use-things-to-know.html

I'm feeling utterly fed up so have bit the bullet and booked myself an appointment with a private consultant next Thursday. I'm going to print off all my temperature charts and go armed with evidence! It will be really interesting to see if he picks up on my short luteal phase and if I'll get prescribed progesterone suppositories.

Good luck with your appointments everyone x

mascaraisamust · 11/02/2016 21:14

Sounds like you are all going in the right direction in terms of getting help. Fingers crossed for proactive consultants!

sunshinegirl12 · 12/02/2016 02:30

Mrsunsure, when is your appt? Glad to hear you have it now.

Friendly, sorry to hear you're feeling fed up too. Its rubbish isnt it.

Surely if we can show we have a short luteal phase and are willing to pay for the progesterone then the consultant will prescribe it as the NHS won't be losing anything by paying for something they don't think will work. I'm really not looking forwards to the internal scan but atleast will know I suppose. Confused Has everyone else had their AMH levels checked?

I might give evening primrose oil and preseed a go this month.

mascaraisamust · 12/02/2016 03:44

Private consultant requested Amh but the bus wouldn't do it for free for me, checked everything else but refused to check it x

Can't sleep Sad

FuzzyOwl · 12/02/2016 10:26

Sorry Friendly and Mascara.

Hope all is still going well Oriana.

I was fully expecting to ovulate on Monday/Tuesday but despite having some cm for the last couple of days and twinges yesterday, I only used an opk today and it is strongly positive. We haven't DTD for a week as we planned to start today. I feel like I am ovulating now and that I have totally ruined my chances for yet another cycle. Even when DH gets home from work tonight it will probably be too late. Sad Can't believe I am actually in tears about this. Why is ttc so awful?

Fuzzy, you should still be ok, anything from 48hours after you get the first positive. It is awful isnt it, it seems to take over everything.Sad

Mrsunsure, I think AMH is meant to reflect the size of the remaining egg supply, I'm 31 so realy hoping this isnt an issue but might be worth me getting checked just incase. Think my appt is the 24th Feb and my acupuncture the day after. Have you had an internal scan before? If its all NHS they should really have all your results but as they don't seem to be that efficient maybe try to get a copy and keep them it in your bag just incase Hmm

Friendlycav · 12/02/2016 17:00

AMH is to do with ovarian reserve and can pick up who might lose their fertility more quickly. I'm 34 and am really worried about getting the test, especially as my FSH levels were relatively high for my age and the two are usually linked. But I am also telling myself that better the devil I know. It is still possible to get pregnant with a live AMH. Really glad I have my private appointment booked for next week, hopefully we will get answers and we can compare notes.

Sunshine - I've had an internal scan on the NHS and it was all over in 5 minutes. I'm sure there is nothing for you to worry about x

Friendlycav · 12/02/2016 17:01

*it is still possible to get pregnant with low AMH

OrianaBanana · 12/02/2016 17:54

fuzzy don't worry that happened to me last cycle. I ended up having three days of positive OPKs though we only managed to DTD twice.

Still bleeding - had blood tests yesterday and results won't be in until Monday - I am feeling a complete lack of urgency and dare I say interest from any health professionals about this. They all seem to think well, I might lose it, c'est la vie etc. Sad

mascaraisamust · 12/02/2016 18:14

So sorry Orianna Sad still hoping for a happy outcome for you. It'll feel like a long weekend but try to keep busy x

Thank you for the support. It is much appreciated, as always! Smile

I really hope everything is ok Oriana. I know a number of ladies who have had lots of bleeding early on (and a couple throughout) their pregnancies and now have their babies.

I am not sure the AMH test is done by the NHS Mrsunsure.

Mrsunsure, my appointment is private as I am still waiting on my NHS ultrasound appt before I can even get the referral, though it may have come through while I've been away. We will try to go private now with any tests etc as far as money allows as its all taking too long and at the risk of sounding extreme I feel like the constant worry is ruining my life right now. Sad

Oriana, really hope everything works out ok for you. xx

Ttc definitely ruins lives. It is just such a constant emotional upheaval and everything takes so long, including cycles.

I am so grateful for every day that goes by, it's so hard when you want something so much and it just isn't happening and there is no explanation, unfortunately unless you've been through the it people just don't get it. Ladies, I'm still lurking and supporting you all the way! Hoping your appointments go well. I will keep checking back.

Oh and I haven't posted a thing on social networks! I know other people could be siliently going through the same. I'm doing ok thanks, still secretly nervous but I'll feel better after the 20 week scan. Keeping busy so it's 18 weeks now.

You will get there Mrs, like my consultant said LP is easy to treat, it's just getting the treatment and you are all getting to the point where people are starting to listen to you. Keep me updated on your appointments ladies x
