Test lines on the opk look nearly as dark as the control line so I'd say either you've just ovulated or you're just about to ovulate. Test again this evening and a couple of times tomorrow but you're probably just at the end of your fertile week.

I'm just starting to get really worried as i've been spotting but had my af 31st dec - 6th jan so evrything has been working so super confused as to why i'm spotting??

OK so at least I know my body is doing something... however... what on earth caused the positive HPT since I've had no bleed after and why on earth have I got sore boobs, sickness, darkened nipples, etc etc arghhhhhhh

Right, weird question..but does anyone get AF symptoms before ovulation? I feel bloated, tired, bit grumpy and my skin is a bit shit (it's usually pretty clear) and also quite hungry well just greedy really. There could be lots of different of reasons I know but just wondering if any of you have had that?
Due to ovulate/fw in the next couple of days, I could just be being a grumpy greedy crank today that needs a facepack most probably

choc I found a brilliant 'answer' to this on another forum: Lh and hcg are nearly the same thing. So Lh is present during pregnancy. Think of Lh as a smiley face. You opk looks for the smiley face all the time and is positive when it can see it best. Hcg is like a smiley face with a birthday hat on. Your pregnancy test looks for the hat. So an opk can see the smiley face either way but the hat has to be there for the pregnancy test.

Not sure if it helps, or if its even true, but I enjoyed the analogy!

IndiX are you using a symptom tracker? If you log all of your symptoms throughout your cycle it gives you 'insights' including symptom commonality. My FW week top symptom apparently is bloating. Ssshexy.

indi I just phoned the midwife she's so lovely I hope I get her lol and she said still treat myself as if I am because of pretty much the same reason skip said. She said worst case scenario we will know by my booking appointment if AF arrives because it should be up to 3 days before my appointment on 27th... I've just been told by my gynaecologist that it's absolutely ok to have the odd drink while Ttc! She said it's OK, but just stop once you've had a positive test. Her words were 'if that was the case then there would be so many disabled babies everywhere'. Gin and tonic anyone??

Saying that I probably still won't drink lol.

indi I think I get a little bit of PMS before ovulation and from Google (the trusted doctor) I think it's because you get a fluctuation of hormones similar to that you get before AF

Indi I'm the same! I'm grumpy, tired and found 2 little spots on my face this morning when I woke up. I'm going out tonight with the girls (none of whom know I'm ttc) so I'll be having a few drinks. There's no way round it or they'd definitely suspect it

I am very 😢 too about both Alan Rickman and David Bowie-it has been a sad week.

FW here (at least I think so-not had a much darker line on OPK than the pic Choco posted of hers, definitely not darker than the control line). DH doesn't seem up for it so far-trying not to get stressed!

I'm 5dpo today and can't wait to test Temp risen nicely & FF had put a cross on my chart - so I def ovulated on cd14 😀
No symptoms other than some cramps but I usually get it every month.

indi and miley I have also got a big spot on my chin today! Argh! I thought we were supposed to look at our best during fw??

And I am def drinking while TTC. Not excessively or anything, just as I normally would which is a couple of drinks on fri and sat nights. I won't drink during the 2ww but when I'm definitely not pregnant I don't see the harm.

I'm definitely not going to be T total while TTC, I'm only drinking on weekends now as she finishes a large glass of red and I see it as a treat at the end of a week to have a few wines and relax. A friend of mine used to have the odd cocktail every 2 weeks when she was pregnant, I wouldn't actually do that, but her baby came out perfect perfectly? Bad grammar annoys me.
Don't think there's anything wrong with enjoying a few drinks while TTC.

Indi, Miley and Harriet, I have two spots on my chin too!! Came up the other day. Just waiting for a positive opk, but ov must be coming soon... I have the spots, boobs that are sore and fuller than usual, watery cm...

I did an opk strip at around 3pm today and there were two lines but test line was only light pink which indicates a negative. Does anyone know if the light pink line could mean I'm about to get an lh surge - or if it just means nothing? Usually I have just been getting no second line.

We're doing dry January this year which is so boring but I definitely had a few drinks last month even during the TWW because we were on holiday and I figured it was too early to do any harm (not that it mattered in the end!). I don't drink huge amounts but I think if you put your life on hold too much while TTC then you can end up missing out and feeling like you're just in limbo, wasting your life away for that BFP.
