I may have done a sneeky POAS this morning nothing to report my end except I have an awful cough and cannot take any medication!!!! Will try honey (well agave) and lemon tonight - if I ever get home! Traffic is diabolical!

Short summary: she doesn't know if I'm pregnant so let's act as if I am. Have protected sex for 2 weeks and test again, if it's positive I am, if it's negative I'm not. She then told me brace yourselves ladies that you can get pregnant at any time of the month so don't worry...

She then said if I am pregnant she thinks it's only a few weeks and she thinks the midwife is only a midwife suggesting she thinks her argument is invalid? Found it shocking

She said false positives are very rare... am I sure I haven't missed a bleed? errrrrrm because I wouldn't notice red stuff leaking out of my mermaids purse?!

Oh and my pregnancy symptoms are most likely genuine, some people are more sensitive to them than others... and if I could phone her and update her in 2 weeks she'd be grateful as she's interested to know if I am or not. Apparently a scan will be pointless because we'll know 'before too long'

I'm having a bit of a spend today! New look have quite a good sale going online! Free delivery over £45, plus an extra £10 off (10 actual pounds, I initially thought it was 10%) just got a pair of leather boots, 3 casual shirts and a cardigan for £65.

Just checking in, I'm about 7dpo today, some slight cramps but that's it really for any symptom spotting. I've given my testing date as 25th as was going M to be good and wait until after af arrival or not but now I'm leaning towards 11dpo so in 4 days eek! Not sure if that's a good idea?!

dubs try and hold out, we all know I'm an advocate for waiting but see if you can go to 13/14 dpo. The longer you leave it the easier it gets to continue to leave it iyswim! It's all in the mindset!

choc Dh was telling me about something he was reading which said yiu can get pregnant at any time of the month too! We're just going to aim for every other day all month and see what happens! Feeling much more relaxed about it now! And I've just done shopping so I've got happy hormones swimming round in my brain! Got okp's en route but might not use them, will see how I feel.

I guess they say you can get preggers at any time as everyone's cycle is different but you do actually need to have ovulated an egg and have magic potion to hand for the magic to happen.

If my view is worth anything here I think you should have as much chukka chukka as you can manage without protection, continue as though on 2WW, and go back in a few weeks and demand a scan. Not sure what your finances are like - but maybe you could consider going private? I guess it depends how desperate you are to know one way or another.

I must say that after reading all these posts and the Closer article I keep on getting a flash of excitement to think that perhaps I too am one of the 450 and that a previous IUI actually worked and then I come crashing back to earth when I remember that I get scanned 4-5 times each cycle so no way there is anything hiding up my vajayjay....!!!! It is like a constant Groundhog Day!

choc I don't really see the point of ysung protection. I'm not sure what the point is. If you are not pregnant now and you conceive in the next 2 weeks the test woukd only just be positive. And a scan or blood test at rgat point would confirm it was early.

We're considering it if I'm honest! I'll get to the 26th and if we have no positive result, no bleed and I still feel like this then we'll pay for a scan!

Well oddly enough I've sent that article to a few friends today and almost everyone has come back saying they know someone (a friend, family member etc) that's had similar! How odd!!

Hi everyone! Just leaving work (horribly long day but very productive, and I like the days when I feel productive) and reading through everything.

Lara yay a cycle buddy. Well Ovia suggests 24th and FF 23rd but not sure as only based on my first cycle which was 31 days (after being on the pill for 17 years!). I have a feeling my cycles before were more like a regular 28 days but they may have changed!! What about you?

Dub I'm due 23rd but could be a day or two either way. Not got any symptoms to speak of. Have you? I was on the pill for a similar length of time but came off early last year and my cycles are about 26-28 days now. Not testing is going to be hard!! I honestly never thought I'd get like this!

zazzles not due until 28th so still a while away yet... came off imolant 9th dec had my normal af 31st dec to 6th jan and had spotting for past 3-4 days .. it's doing my nut in!!!

Ooh, very similar then lara! I don't think I really have any symptoms. Mild cramping (so mild could be imagining!) and am shattered but that's normal with my job!

It will be hard not to test but we can stay strong together!! 💪🏻
