Just to add a quick message on this. As others have said, you really need to go for a wee after dtd. If you don't you can really put yourself at risk for a UTI.

My SIL is a doctor in OB/ GYN and it's one of the biggest things she's always telling people. Apparently it's so common for women to not bother peeing after sex and it can be quite dangerous.

It's my dsis birthday today! No af yet! Maybe this afternoon she'll show up! Didn't bother saving fmu or testing! Will see what happens yet! Guessing I'm just having an extra long cycle, or a phantom period!

I just bought some evening primrose oil because I don't think I'm producing a lot of cm. However, Ovia tells me I'm already in my fertile window (though the testing stick yesterday disagreed) and ovulation predicted for Saturday. Is it safe to still take EPO or should I wait to the next cycle?

Cthulhoo I haven't been getting much EWCM either and am considering evening primrose, but you're only meant to take it from day one until ovulation - it's not ideal to be taking it can after conception/ during early pregnancy I believe. For that reason I wouldn't take it until your next cycle starts if I were you.

Just in case you have already ovulated, I mean. As Ovia isn't always right!

I guess you're right Lara. I just feel I need to do something - some fine-tuning, anything. We've been trying for half a year and I really hate that so much of this process seems to be outside my control.

It's so frustrating cthulhoo because we're so used to having at least a modicum of control over our bodies that when you want it to do something and it doesn't, it gets irritating! And people saying that it's normal to take up to a year doesn't help when you're feeling stressed and just wanting it to happen. It's one of those things that we can't control, it's a piss take and you'd think they'd sort it out! whoever "they" are!

Currently changing from my Griffinfor hoody to my Hogwarts one... today is a day of solidarity not individual houses... yes I am a Harry Potter nutter too stark (as well as the OH and one of my best friends) ... gutted!!

We shall be flying the Slytherin flag tonight yes, we actually have one, sad but true I've got my Gryffindor hoody on too. Weird but me and dsis were discussing how bereft we will feel if Maggie Smith passed away, I never thought Snape would die. Cancer is a bastard, too many, too young. My grandma died three years ago this week and my grandad last August. Both of cancer. Shitty disease that it is.

I too am so gutted about Snape. Huge HP fan here.

Also really gutted over here. I like HP, but tbh I remember Alan Rickman back in Robin Hood as Sheriff of Nottingham, and things like Die Hard. SUCH a great actor and a huge loss.

Completely gutted about Alan Rickman too :( loved him! He was such a fantastic actor! RIP Snape :(

I'm more of a Slytherin and the OH is a Hufflepuff (love him) ... sad times :( cancer sucks! Just the other day we were discussing how the way he played Snape was like Johnny Depp playing Jack Sparrow. The actor became the character entirely. Such talent 😢😢

I'm a hufflepuff, Dh is a Gryffindor. We wanted to go back to HP studios to see Hogwarts at winter but we didn't get a chance. We went in the summer last time, and I still dying to see how they've done platform 9 3/4. I've got a fawkes the phoenix tattoo and dsis has the deathly hallows symbol, we are both such losers!

I can vouch for the fact that a nasty uti is to be expected if you don't wee straight after dtd. I thought Oh I'd better lay down for twenty mins afterwards so have been doing that. I am in agony today. Got an appointment at the doctor tomorrow. Any tips anyone? Apart from drink loads....

You know the balance active gel things Confused those help me. They're honestly brilliant. I used to suffer with utis a lot, and they do help. used to have to wander round doing club promo in a belly top and shorts in February etc! loads of people say drink cranberry juice (which is fine if you can find the actual cranberry juice, not cranberry juice drink, which is just sugar and zero goodness) but I tank water and have two paracetamol, stick a tube of balance active up my floo and try and stay warm.
