Thread 6! Wowzers! Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in cm management!

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, a resident piss stick queen runner, loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

But on the whole, we're a good bunch, especially bunch who is literally, a bunch. bunch

I'm a bit worried that if I could be pregnant, that it will somehow hurt the baby??? Or am I worrying too much??

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/01/2016 15:16

You are worrying too much, I had a wonder/worry last week about it too, my bajingo felt super sore and acidic, but short of injecting heroin or whatever, at this stage there's very little we can actually do to hinder/help a blatocyct. It's sort of a question sera sera thing. Just take care of your own body and all shall be well.

Had a warm bath, I was frozen to the bone and now feel like af is going to explode out of me any moment!

Couch, chocolate, wine and hot water bottle for you then xxxFlowers

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/01/2016 15:21

And for you cat I'm an anxious person, but I've made a conscious decision to try and be calm over it all, we can only control so much. And the best thing for ttc is to keep ourselves as healthy and happy as possible. ChocolateWineFlowers

I think af is genuinely and finally arriving now, phew, I'm relieved! I thought I was just going to go weeks and weeks on cycle 1 with it never ending like some kind of infertile groundhog day! And I can have a glass of champagne this evening without feeling slightly guilty! Woohoooooo! Grin 🎂 🍸 🍕

OP posts:
BunchOfBobs · 14/01/2016 16:33

Is that you actually out Starky? If you're not using any sanitary products then she has not arrived Wink. Though as you've just stated yourself- there is no harm a glass of champagne can do at this stage anyway.

IndiX · 14/01/2016 16:40

Yaaayyyy thank god Starky your AF has finally arrived!! Enjoy that champers tonight.
I'm not a mad HP fan but still equally sad about Alan Rickman Sad

My fw starts in 3 days according to ovia..my mum mentioned a few weeks ago that it starts between cd 12-14 so may start my shagathon a couple of days early. DH is away from early sat until Sunday night though so may try to start Sunday night. Anyone else look at their ovia calendar and plan sex days?! Just me being a complete control freak and the least spontaneous lover ever Blush

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/01/2016 17:03

I think I shall be officially out by tomorrow bunch had a spot, well maybe two spots, but I'm waiting on full flow as it were! But I'm genuinely relieved! weird, I know but now I feel like I've got cycle 1 out of the way I can relax a bit more about it all even weirder I know because at the beginning I was sooo desperate to be a lucky cycle 1 catcher that now I'm not, there's no pressure! Do I make sense? probably not and Christmas is out of the way so dh's work schedule is less stressful, he has started dieting but has promised not to use the sauna till my next fertile week is out of the way. Really hoping all my lesson aren't 40 days a piece though!

OP posts:
IndiX · 14/01/2016 17:21

I completely understand about the whole 'lucky cycle 1 catcher' stark, I felt exactly the same and now feel so much more relaxed on cycle 2 I'm saying this now, give me 2 weeks and I'll be a lunatic again

Kathrino · 14/01/2016 17:29

I think that absolutely makes sense Starky. Everything seems so new and stressful in the first month and I think you end up spending all your time analysing every twinge in case it means something. I'm hoping to relax into month two a bit more - it's almost like I accept now that it may or may not happen whereas although I knew that intellectually before, I almost assumed that it would. I think I'm much better prepared for whatever this month will bring now.

And Indi, I'm totally scheduling our next few weeks around DTD at convenient points in time. I have zero shame about this.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/01/2016 17:32

I think because we were so lucky with a lot of our lovely ladies having bfp's early on, I was putting pressure on myself to have that beginner's luck too. And you can't force it to happen!

So now I'm past that, I'm just glad af is arriving! I've gone through periods of time before where I'd go a couple of months with no af at all, and not ovulate either, so I was beginning to think I'd jinxed myself into an irregular cycle again this month! My body is perhaps teaching me a lesson in patience and appreciation! Grin

On the positive side, I can now order a shit ton of okp's! I love me some okp's! Bring out the chocolate and champers! Think we're having a birthday take away tonight for dsis! Don't know what we'll have to choose from though!

Also, ladies, if you're a fan of scented candles, can I just completely recommend the sainsburys ones! They are gorgeous! I was given a few for Christmas and have lit the lavender and geranium smelly one, it's so lovely! It smells all calm and peaceful in my front room!

Hi ladies im hoping you can help and give some advice.
I have my last period on the 13/12/15, I ovulated on the 27/12/15 (I use fertility friend app to track these things!) the same day me and my partner had sex. On 9dpo i experienced a weird pinching sensation in my uterus area. I was due my period on the 10/1/16. The day i was due which would of 14dpo i started spotting well it was more when i went to the loo and wiped it was brownish/pinkish not enough to wear a pad or tampon and only lasted for 2-3 days. My period is now late 4 days which is very unusual as it is always on time and i have a regular 28 day cycle. I took a test the day my period was due but it came back bfn. I was reading that hcg wont start producing until after implantation is complete. If the spotting stopped only 2 days ago is it too early to test? Any advice as to whether or not that was implantation. The only other sympton i have is slight nauesea on and off but that is all. Please help Smile

Evergreen15 · 14/01/2016 17:55

Noooo
David Bowie and Alan Rikman in a week SadSadSad

I bought tickets for Harry Potter world a bit ago as surprise pressie for DP and we are going at the end of the month.

"my bajingo felt super sore and acidic, but short of injecting heroin or whatever" stark you paint quite a picture Grin I am also feeling more relaxed now on cycle #2 than I was on #1. I could not possibly keep the madness up, too exhausting.

Indi do I plan sex based on Ovia? No. Do I carefully study the data that Ovia, Fertility Friend and Kindara give me, do an average, account for error, add a correction, then plan sex according to that? YES.

Evergreen15 · 14/01/2016 17:57

Batstark thanks for the candle tip, but DP is a firefighter and I am not allowed to play with those Envy. I have an aroma vaporiser instead Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/01/2016 18:01

You can either keep testing brooklyn or wait a few days and if no af, then test again. It's possible that you may not have enough hug in your system to produce a positive test yet, but it all depends really. If you ovulated on the 27th though, I would have expected that you would have implanted by now. And if you bled on your expected af day and have had negative tests then I would think your probably just had a lighter period than you anticipated/usually have. Do you use okp's?

Haha, I have a vivid imagination ever and unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it it does tend to spill out into my posts! Grin I do love language though!

Confused lots of water. Don't delay going to the toilet and when you do go after you finish, try to go again to get every last drop out. Cranberry is unlikely to help at this stage (and you can struggle to drink enough of it to have any effect anyway). Don't forget to tell the Dr that you're ttc. If you need antibiotics it will probably change the one they give you. I'm quite the expert at utis.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 14/01/2016 18:06

Dh wished I wouldn't have candles. He has a massive fear of things catching light. I told him though, if he didn't want to play with fire, he shouldn't have married me!

OP posts:
Co5mo · 14/01/2016 19:09

Other way round in our house. I forget to lock the door and DH would quite happily light an open fire and walk away. Could do with a little fire right now. I'm frozen because someone has been messing with the central heating controls. Grrr

Mileymoocow · 14/01/2016 19:11

I've been grieving Alan Rivkman all afternoon too 😢 how shit has this week been?!

On a brighter note, OH just left for work saying 'babe your fertile window must be soon, right?' I have one of those rare listening types!! I wasn't going to mention fw to him after reading about some of your dh's feeling pressured. Plus I'm feeling 20 times more comfortable with cycle 2 so was going to be semi relaxed.

Opk day officially starts today even though really it started 2 days ago. Relaxed my arse

BunchOfBobs · 14/01/2016 19:13

Remember I was cycle 2 Starky, which is still ridiculously early considering the 1 year they suggest.

Confusedcat1 · 14/01/2016 19:47

Thanks for that cosmo, it's annoying though as it's fertile week this week!

Snowdog37 · 14/01/2016 20:06

I think I've got tinnitus? My ears have been ringing all day, and I feel kind of dizzy from it. Between that and my sore crampy and cysty ladyparts I'm a mess. Somehow twisted my left ankle too and that hurts. I'd love to go to bed but I'm working. I want to cry every time I think of David Bowie or Alan Rickman. 😭

How's everyone else?

leoniethelioness · 14/01/2016 20:15

My OPKs have arrived and I am most definitely not tempted to give them a go... I'm CD 24 of 29 so it would be utterly pointless but I'm excited!

Period due on Tuesday 19... Feel like I'll cave in and test with FMU then if no AF unless my ICs arrive before...
