Just started temping and OPKs this cycle-not sure I've really got the hang of the OPKs but working on it. If Ovia is right, I am most fertile today, but won't get the chance to DTD until Friday so will most likely be on the February bus!

I reckon Miley's excellent "alternative crafting suggestions" probably means there's no such thing as tmi anymore!

I've pretty much gone with 15 mins or so before I can't stand it anymore and need to clean up a bit.

I go to the toilet after dtd, I read an article saying if a woman is fertile and her cervix is open, sperm will get where they need in miliseconds, so holding urine after dtd is just a psychological thing, rather than a necessity. Gravity/flushing makes very little difference iykwim. Everything that comes out is, for the most part dead sperm and seminal fluid.

Thanks for that Stark, makes me feel a lot better about going to the toilet/cleaning up after Dtd! You're right, it's all psychological!

7 days running now with flashing smiley face on the clearblue dual opk test. It says it's only meant to have flashing faces for up to four days before a non flashy face (lh surge).

It also says that if you start testing too early, the flashing faces can start too early... Bit of a con?? How am I meant to know if I'm testing too early if I get irregular periods?Anyone else using these opk tests?

I know that ovulation should be happening soon as my boobs have been tender for three days now!

Checking in. How is everyone? We've had a bfp (congrats), newbies (waves), a new thread and some crazy ideas since the last time I was here. Nothing to report here except those opk I ordered still haven't arrived and I'm not believing Ovia this cycle. It reckons I'll ovulate on day 20, my last cycle was only 27 days. That means I'm extending my fertile window just in case.

I'm not straight on the toilet after dtd. I get raging utis otherwise which have ended up in me being admitted to hospital. Not fun so I hope your info is right Starky

Irk?? I totally wish i could be chillaxed about it but getting really worried as i've been spotting/light bleeding for the past couple of days now so dont knownwhat the heck is going on with my body :( xx

To add to debate about when to wee after dtd - after my iuis I have ti lie still for 10 minutes then I get up and can go to loo. I guess the difference with chukka-chukka is that the magic potion is deposited right in the uterus - so little ones have less distance to travel, they also have less shelf life than chukka-chukka magic potion.

I have woken up with sore boobs (they kinda went away) in addition to the extra omg I'm going to vomit saliva pouring into my mouth every 15 seconds and the at the moment slight waves of nausea just thinking about food...

I agree with stark on the weeing after dtd. The raising your hips and blah blah is apparently not necessary since those swimmers will get there fast. What takes long is for them to them swim all the way to find the egg.
And I once had a urine tract infection and doctor said: wait for it, doctor was my neighbour and I was besties with her daughter. I had to interrumpting carving the turkey for Christmas dinner, - yes I went to his house with my brother as the pain was so bad- he turned around and said. Didn't I tell you to drink water before sex? you are supposed to wee after that.

So yes, wee will clean any bacteria blah blah and you don't want to get an infection whilst TTC. So I say:
