Thread 6! Wowzers! Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in cm management!

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, a resident piss stick queen runner, loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

But on the whole, we're a good bunch, especially bunch who is literally, a bunch. bunch

I'm only on this thread too, but I think I may take a look at the baby names thread ;)

KatOnATinRo0f · 19/01/2016 21:45

No me either! I kind of forgot they were there. I'm planning on staying here until everyone leaves and I'm the last one here :( I can join the graduate thread. Although I don't know how they do it... Do you join the one by birth month and therefore have to get to make new friends? Or is there the "big school" version of this thread with our heads chatting and waiting for us???

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/01/2016 21:50

I'm really sensitive to daft things kat certain sanitary pads, toilet roll with scents, washing powder, latex condoms, some spermicides so I was constantly suffering with thrush, bv, utis. I went to a lady doctor and she recommended those to me because you can just use like one a week and it keeps the ph balance in your floo steady and even. I don't use them all the time, but they've been a godsend and I've not had any twinkle problems since (and this was probably two years ago). I am also from the school of soap and water is all you need. Grin

I sometimes wander over to baby names, and I read some threads on pregnancy but I don't post. I'm glad we've got our thread because there seems to be some real mean spiritedness over the 'am I pregnant' threads which pop up that I've seen. I know what you mean though, our club is ace!

Twinkle problems I love this!!!! It doesn't sound half as bad as it is!!

Pugmummy87 · 19/01/2016 21:55

Thanks Stark, can you get them from places like boots? I don't get it that often, which is why I think it's the change of tampons, but I will look into it.

My diet isn't going very well. Had takeaway pizza last night and ate half a pot of Ben and Jerry's tonight. Need a kick up the arse!

KatOnATinRo0f · 19/01/2016 22:02

*Pug stop eating crap!!!!!!
*
I've pretty much eaten all the food I have laid eyes on since the wedding (August) put on about a stone. Could really do with losing it again. But I know I will only manage half a stone (the second half was painful and I only managed it as I was getting married. With no other actual reason I don't obviously want it bad enough)

That's what I've realised you have to actually want something. When I'm heavier, I keep saying I need to lose weight/go to gym but if I'm truly honest with myself deep inside in obviously not bothered enough to do something about it. When you are, you will. (This will either be because you put on more weight, enough to trigger the switch that says "enough" or your thoughts change and the switch is lowered) that's what happens with me. I'm sure of it.

KatOnATinRo0f · 19/01/2016 22:08

I didn't mean that to be mean I was being a kick up the arse like you said. When I posted it it looked mean I didn't mean to be mean :( :( :( I'm sorry. P.s. I love Ben and Jerry's. Why does everything that tastes so good have to be bad for you :(

Kwick709 · 19/01/2016 22:13

Sorry guys... Dont take this the wrong way but I am on 3 other TTC threads.... Each one has a slighty different slant eg one on donor iui, another for over 40s, one that is the "dark side" of mn and this one :)

Think af is finally about to make an appearance :(.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/01/2016 22:13

I knew what you meant kat Grin I'm sure pug does too.

Yeah boots, superdrug, tesco, pharmacies etc. Used to only be able to get them in a few places but they're everywhere now. I'm looking into the balance active conceive gel, I might order some in for this next cycle. I like the balance active stuff, mainly because I know I'm not allergic/sensitive to it!

You guys are so funny , I can never guess what you'll be chatting about next time I get chance to log in. Twinkle problems haha

So, no symptoms since my terrible cramps and 1 hr of spotting at 5dpo, 7 days until AF due. In bed already feeling v cold and tired, hoping I'm not catching DPs cold!

KatOnATinRo0f · 19/01/2016 22:21

what the hell is the "dark side" of mn????

Kathrino · 19/01/2016 22:22

I could have written your post word for word Kat but just substitute October for August. Without regular fittings with the slightly terrifying woman who made my wedding dress, I have no motivation not to plough my way through the mountain of Christmas chocolate that we still have.

IrregularCommentary · 19/01/2016 22:23

Just checked out the names thread. Christ, you have to be careful what you say with some people don't you. Only read two before I'd breached mean comments territory!

I think I'll just squidge back into my comfy seat in this thread.

Laurenowls · 19/01/2016 22:32

choc sorryfor late reply byt yes totally get what you mean with stabbing in the arm but going to think positively from now on!! Body IS going to get ready for a bubba just gotta sit on my hands and wait patiently who am i kidding lol

Kwick709 · 19/01/2016 22:35

So the one of the threads I am on Kat has had an article written about it... It seems some mners find it offensive.... It has a set of rules which no one adheres to and I was very lucky to be made an honorary member as I do not qualify for rule 1 (to shag as often as poss). We have our own language - mainly coming from autocorrect issues. The thread has been going for a while - it is on number 56 (or could be 57) at the mo; its title changes each new thread and is inspired by previous posts.... In fact I am VERY proud to say that my term "magic potion" made it on to the last one...!!!

Anyway, as I said, each thread brings something different... But the one thing in common is the camaraderie and mutual support which mean so much to me... Even if at times I do get jealous of all the chukka-chukka which is going on!!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/01/2016 22:38

See I feel bad, because I never tried to lose any weight for my wedding! I found my wedding dress in a charity shop (honestly believe my late Gm placed it there for me, it was perfect, it for perfectly, it was exactly what I wanted, and I'd been let down by my dress shop) so I took it as a sign to not diet! I'd have done my own hair and make up if I was to change anything, I look horrible! But I have 1 photo from my wedding (literally one) because my photographer dropped the ball massively! If I'm not pregnant by summer, I'm having some photos taken in my dress!

I'm a bit late to this party but congrats Bug

Confused so as the self-styled Queen of UTIs I've had my fair share of antibiotics and never had an ewcm issue. I also don't recall any of my patients complaining of it with their antibiotics either but then I've never thought to ask and it's probably not something they want to share. Now if you had thrush that would be a different matter.

And on the subject of thrush this might be TMI but ... Tampax pearl and my AF make an excellent breeding ground for millions of tiny Candida. The bumper pack is now in the bin.

Kat post wedding weight gain seems to be par for the course. I'm a whole stone up and for me that's loads cause I'm tiny. Can I have a kick up the ass too? A box of chocolates seem to have disappeared tonight.

ElleSarcasmo · 19/01/2016 22:48

Bugmuncher congratulations! That's a beauty! Flowers Flowers Flowers

Laurenowls sorry about your double AF Sad, hope things get back to normal soon.

Twinkle problems lol Starky! I've had to stop reading this on the train thanks to you lot!

I stretch mark like a bastard so will look like a tiger if I ever do manage to get upduffed!

ElleSarcasmo · 19/01/2016 22:52

Love the baby names too Kat and Indi! Irregular I agree it can be mean, the reactions are the total opposite of how my RL friends would react to names though DH has some pretty out there ideas which I need to work on!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/01/2016 22:53

I'm going to be a stripy mofo too elle we can be red zebra together. Grin

KatOnATinRo0f · 19/01/2016 22:53

I pretty much go between 9st and 10st through winter/summer. Currently at my winter weight (more insulation). I never alter dress sizes but stuff does get better/worse fitting and I have clothes I avoid when they are a bit tight (I refuse to buy a 12 if a 10 doesn't fit it's either rubbish and I hate it anyway, or switches my switch to stop eating crap). That's probably now. I should probably diet. Which is good timing as I just finished the last of the Xmas chocolate orange.

That's that JS thread I posted a bit on that when I joined mn around September time. But settled here and found I couldn't keep up with more than 1 thread as so many posts!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/01/2016 22:56

Haha I have some fairly odd ideas about names too, Dh will indulge me to a certain point. The main problem is we both used to know a lot of strippers, so when most people say "ooh that's a stripper name" Ive usually known an actual stripper with the name, which puts us off a LOT of names! Grin

OP posts:
Kathrino · 19/01/2016 23:08

Our main problem re names is that there are about 30 small children (under 5) in DH's family so all the good names have been taken and we will be left with some odd choices I fear...

Kat, you've just reminded me that we still have some of our chocolate orange left in the fridge. Not for much longer.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/01/2016 23:13

See we've only got 3 small children in my direct family, and 2 on dh's side ( they've got siblings non related) but I was once upon a time a nursery nurse, so between strippers and kids I've taught, our list has become pretty weird. I'm trying my best to be kind though. Our most recent boys name to go on the list is Roman, which I love. Girls names currently I'm enjoying Ceridwen, but I would use Denny as a nn rather than Ceri.
