I can't bare the thought of labour. It makes my vagina want to seal itself up I am genuinely terrified. I watched a video a few years ago when I really wasn't that knowledgeable about having kids not that I'm any the wiser now. Her foof literally ripped open. Her actual slit was all the way to her sphincter.

I'm going to take off if I fart any more today. Seriously, they should look into powering my towns electricity off my flatulance after ovulation. I have really bad stomach cramps too. I hope this isn't going to be a monthly ov thing.

Starky and Harriet, it does seem unfair to have long cycles. My 33 day one last month seemed to go on forever! Hopefully this month will be back to 28/9 days but we'll see.

Starky I bought a home IPL machine (Boots) a few years ago. It worked pretty well (leg and arm hairs seem finer still 3 years since I last used it!) but took ages to do so it fell by the wayside. It might be worth having a look on eBay? They tend to work best if you have dark hair/fair skin but I think if you have lighter hair/darker skin the salon one can still be effective. Maybe it's easier to get a hairy OH like Miley! Though I am quite attached to my DH and he's not very hairy!

miley I've had two natural births, had a cut with both of them no way was I prepared to tear and no pain relief. Walk in the park - honestly. And my first was a drip induction that I should have been offered an epidural on, thankfully I didn't notice until after that no one had offered me one. Stubbing your toe is more painful because its a different type of pain (in my warped opinion).
Labour is totally tolerable (in my opinion)... plus it's totally worth it. You get a gorgeous little bundle of baby at the end ❤❤

disclaimer I have a disturbingly high pain threshold which saw me walking around with a fractured foot for a week wondering why the swelling wasn't going down 😂😂

choc everything was going so well until you threw in that revelation that you have a high pain threshold. Mine is that of a small child.

Elle I got a little purse where I carry my bottle and sticks. Go into the toilet (it is a big toilet with cubicles)

Then I do the thing and wee ends in the bottle. Dip the stick. Now, pay attention. I reach high (cubicle walls dont go all the way to the ceiling amd are quite wide) and place the pissy stick wrapper and on top the mentioned wee wee analysing device.
Wash hands and clean bottle. Go to office. Come back to toilet and enter the same cubicle. Retrieve pissy device. DONE

Thanks Elle. I was a bit wobbly earlier on, especially when consultant told me I was being really positive when going through the HORRIFIC ivf protocol. Seriously with the amount of drugs I will need to take I can open my own branch of Boots!!!

In the end I decided to do stimulated as time is of the essence. I may actually be extremely lucky and have enough "left over" to contemplate a second child.....

The protocol is very complicated but reinsertion day will most likely be the first week of March.

Have a lot to get my head around not least spending close to 12k in a matter of minutes!

evergreen that's is so funny! If I ever find one in a bathroom I'll be looking around for you! ( I don't live in London just if I happen to find one on my travels) my workmates are known to ask me questions while I'm trying to pee so no chance I'd ever get away with that. On the plus side managed to DTD again today, 2 days in a row is impressive for us! Will try and again tomorrow then Thursday! Wednesday is out unfortunately.

I've given up on OPKs this cycle as I'm now CD 18 and fairly sure I ovulated weds or thurs...unfortunately didn't DTD until Friday so odds look slim this month-the feb bus has a pretty good crowd though I've heard!

FWIW two natural births here too (at home) and I agree it's definitely a tolerable pain. The worst bit is over very quickly at the end and you are literally minutes away from a baby. I did have some g&a for the second though.

You guys make me lol so much I've now taken to reading this in the toilet while doing my pissy sticks. I opted for a Gu pot too. They currently live under the roll top bath as it's the only place I can't think of that random visitors wouldn't think to look when poking round the house not that I'm paranoid or anything. Cd12 here so self defined fertile window is now open but not a smidgen of a second line on the opk. Maybe Ovia is right after all?

I had two natural births, one with gas and air and one not. They were water births too which does help with the pain. The truth is that no two births are the same and everyone's pain threshold is different. One person's tolerable could be someone else's agony. Different factors also affect it. Also some people find the labour part more painful and other people find the pushing more painful. One thing's for sure though - it's 100% worth it :)
