Ladies!! I have had a little break and am raring to go this cycle. This is cycle number 4 for us, and I am currently on CD8, so just coming up to the "fertile phase" and plan on plenty of sex not BDing!!

I looked for a January thread, but couldn't find one?? I don't think I am the only one hoping for my BFP in Jan am I ???

I'm doing ok - for those who don't know I had a mc over Christmas, but I'm feeling better after this one than the one I had last Feb. Possibly as it was only 6 weeks, not 9, but still heart-breaking.

Pinkelephant, so sorry to hear your news. I know it won't help you, but I wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and sending lots of virtual hugs. After my mc last Feb, I had complications for nearly 3 months, as which point DH went away for nearly 5 months, so most of last year, I was in limbo unable to start TTC, which is all I wanted to do. All I can say is that the time will pass and everything crossed that you have a healthy bump soon! XXX

DP never refused to "pay attention" after hes deposited but cant think it would be nice for him......in 3 yrs i've orgasmed once during sex so i dont hold out much hope on that! We have other ways called "fun"

Dont think the fun would be nice, plus you gotta have ur legs in the air for 10 mins after!

There is research (and this is HONESTLY true) that you are more likely to conceive if you orgasm because the uterus contracts in waves, and this enables the cervix scoops the sperm up faster and helps it to where its meant to be. I have actually seen real life footage of this happen in action (just don't ask me how!)

... Anyway.... thats why my DH always makes sure I reach the Big O, doesn't matter how, as long as it happens! Make sure you tell your DP this babylove123

My af arrived today - so another 28 days, knew it probably hadn't happened as think we bd on cd10 and cd11 (dh works away) had loads of ew on cd15/16 so should have bd then, slightly confused do you ovulate after ew or before or at the time ?? Must plan it better this month....will still be on the jan thread as due end jan now (actually on my birthday!).... Good luck to everyone! babydust to all xx

Sorry to hear that Minxi. Hope you are ok. I think it's best to BD before ovulation so the sperm is ready and waiting when the egg puts in its (all too brief) appearance!

minxi if you have a fairly regular 28 day cycle, then you probably ovulate on or around day 14. I would make sure you get jiggy on days 10-17 just to make sure there's no room for error . Once you have ovulated, the egg only lasts for about 12-24 hours, but sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days, so always get busy before, rather than after when you think ovulation is taking place.

ew is egg white mucous (i think!!), cm is another abbreviation for the same thing. Its the stringy clear mucous that you see just at the time of ovulation, very stretchy!

i am so bloody annoyed i take back everything i said about dp being bloody marvellous...we went for a house viewing today on a buy to let basis..the house is rent by 5 blokes and we were looking round the bedrooms and dp stopped to stare at the walls (i was still in the hallways so didnt see what he was looking at) i heard the estate agent ask him somthing and they both laughed but i shrugged it off. just asked him what was on the wall(tonnes of pictures of girls) and what was said and the estate agents asked him what he was looking at and he replied im seeing if any of my ex girlfriends are up there. i am so annoyed how humiliating for me!! both laughing at my expense she must think im just one of his tarts cos thats how hes made it sound....grrrrrrrrr
