Hey Mrsbee, lol, does anyone kinda lose interest after its "happened"? I mean when you BD, you're not always "feeling right" as it is, coz im tired from work etc and just feel like sleeping really! I have a very low sex drive, developed it when i went on the mini-pill doesnt seem to have come back!

Sorry to hear AF arrived minxi, gd luck for this month!

Decorative, soz to hear about DP. Ah i am afraid this is just the whole alpha-male thing! You know wot men are like, they have to emphasise their whole ego and pride even at the expense of the ppl closest to them. Talk it thru with him and let him know how you feel, xx

beansprout · 03/01/2007 07:37

AF arrived this morning
Am gutted and very, very fed up.

Have been trying for over 6 months now. Think I may need to see my GP.

Nettee · 03/01/2007 07:59

Beansprout - sorry to hear about AF. Can't imagine how you must be feeling. Hope your GP comes up with some helpful suggestions.

xxxxxx

Good luck for February

honeyapple · 03/01/2007 09:24

Morning all, DS back to school today, so just me and DD today.
Hope everyone is well.

Beansprout- 6 months isnt that long to be TTC, not sure DR would be very helpful yet- how old are you? This might make a difference to the DRs interest.

Babylove- sorry to hear you are lacking in sex drive. Perhaps you should try to forget about TTC for a bit- (if this is possible??)

Decorative- Men can be a bit naff sometimes when they are with other blokes. But the best thing to do is ignore it! (Or join in!)

CD11 for me. Been BD everday since CD7... the attack continues...

beansprout · 03/01/2007 10:07

I'm 37. I stopped using the depo injection 14 months ago, AFs returned in June and my cycle varies from 25-31 days. Standard advice is to go along after 6 months if you are over 35.

MrsBeee · 03/01/2007 10:24

I'd agree that you should go to your GP beansprout, especially if you have used Depo in the last 2 years. They can do some baseline bloods and just check you are ovulating and give you peace of mind. Don't forget 6-12 months is average for TTC though, so don't give up - I'm sure it will happen.

beansprout · 03/01/2007 10:59

Thanks Mrs Beee.

When I was advised to use Depo, absolutely nothing was said about its possible impact on future fertility. I have since found out that I really should have been warned! I sort of feel (maybe irrationally) that the GP should have some responsibility for determining any effect it may have had. Am going to read up on this before Friday so I know what I am asking for - will let you know how I get on!

goingfor3 · 03/01/2007 11:06

Morning all, it's CD12 for me today. Haven't BD'd since CD9 so will have to start going for it now! I heard you should have a break between days 9 and 12 anyway to build up a better reserve and then do it every other day for a few days, has anyone else heard this?

whoopsfallenoveragain · 03/01/2007 11:11

Hi guys - can I join you?
Babylove sorry to hear af arrived
am now on cd 8 (I think am still getting to grips with all this! dh is on late shift next week so will be having a few late nights I think! I have absolutly no idea when I ovulate either

decorativeD2Bmum · 03/01/2007 11:31

does anyone know when mrsmcjnr is back off hols? i cant wait to find our if she got her bfp - anyone know?

minxi · 03/01/2007 13:57

Beansprout - am in a similar position... stopped depo nov 2004 so have been trying for well over 2 years... periods back to 27/28 day cycles since august - had a blood test in nov to check am ovulating, dr said all was fine, should go back really as dr said to come back for another discussion if still not conceived... (this is for our 3rd DS1 is 6 and DS2 is 4...didn't think 6 weeks after having 2nd I would want any for a while although always knew I wanted 3 but didn't realise how depo messes your body up!) I am also 35 end of this month! still trying though...go and see your gp though definitely.... good luck..

Have now ordered my basal temperature thingy of ebay so will start that this week- definitely don't want Af to arrive on my 35th birthday- want a bfp!

Mrs Bee - thanks for advice - daft really I don't know after having 2 already but never had these problems before...and last 2 both took 9 months bearing in mind dh is away monday to friday! not too bad...so am focusing on now body back to normal another few months or sooner hopefully...

Nettee · 03/01/2007 15:18

I have myself convinced that I am going to get a BFP. Slight nausea (always get that pre AF anyway), boobs a bit less flap like than at anytime since I gave up BF (probably my imagination). This is driving me mad. Still a whole week to go so surely too early for any symtoms anyway. I am sure I am setting myself up for a big disappointment.

goingfor3 · 03/01/2007 15:19

Nettee - Good luck. I'm sure I'm be looking at everything my body is doing thinking am I!

MrsBeee · 03/01/2007 16:01

Nettee, you and me both - I have even started a thread about nausea pre-BFP as I have been feeling so sick the last few days - I nearly had to stop the car earlier today to actually throw up! I hope this is a good sign IYSWIM! Probably me getting too over excited though...

Beansprout good luck with your GP on Friday. The GP will prob take some bloods and you can from there depending ont he results. Depo generally shouldnt be recommended if you are planning to conceive within the next 2 years as it is normal to wait between 6-12 months for cycles to return to normal once you finish using the method. I guess like Minxi says, its difficult to think you would ever want another when you're sat there at your 6 week check and will take anything going! I think I'm going to have a Mirena fitted next time, as fertility does return very quickly after removal.

goingfor3 I wouldn't have a break between days 9-12 as this is just the time you need to get busy! Zita West suggests that you should rest during AF and then do it every other day and that should be fine. Do you have a regular 28 day cycle? If so, on Day 12 you should be just coming up for Ov, give or take 24 hours, so this is quite an important time.

welcome to the thread whoopsfallenoveragain !

babylove123 · 03/01/2007 17:32

Hey Guys,

I came off depo and it can take anywhere up to 18 months+ for it to come out of your system. TTC is anywhere between 6 - 12 months at my age and im 20. No offence meant to anyone here but obv the older you are, the harder it may be to conceive (age doing nothing for me tho!)

DP and i on 7th trying cycle, poorly @ mo with chest inf so no baby dancing but i shld be fine by time bleeding stops anyway. We're gonna get there eventually!!!

goingfor3 · 03/01/2007 18:12

MrsBeee - Hopefully I haven't mucked things up then! We bd'd on day 9 so if I have ovulated, though I hven't had the discharge I usually do, then some sperm may still be lurking. Will definatley go for it tooght though!

WinniethePooh · 03/01/2007 19:18

Good luck to those of you still waiting.

Have changed my name from Hogmanay Hangover as I am no longer suffering .

greedyformincepies · 03/01/2007 19:27

i will be going for it later too!.....cd26 today of my stupid long cycle! we have BD'd a lot recently and i am expecting/hoping to ovulate tomorrow or maybe today! dh is away for 10 days on sunday, so it had better be before then!

FurryFox · 03/01/2007 20:08

Hi ladies, can I join you all plesdr? Was invited over by MrsBeee, was on a thread she started in pregnancy re feeling sick before af arrives. Have only been ttc since last af so quite new to all this but have a dd of 17 months already.

babylove123 · 03/01/2007 20:11

hi Greedy,

How long are your cycles?

Im still bleeding from af so gonna wait till around 7th to BD, then every 3 days till next af due (then i cant miss it)

MrsBeee · 03/01/2007 20:46

beansprout · 03/01/2007 21:38

honeyapple · 04/01/2007 09:37

Morning all,
Well there's been a strange role reversal in my house of late. It is now my DP going on about BDing instead of me! It's a nice change not to be the one nagging!

Cycle call-

Honeyapple- CD12 due to OV soon???
(not being scientific at all this month. New approach- have sex everyday.)

Where is MrsMcJnr? Cityangel? And other ladies from Dec thread? Hope you are all well.

WinniethePooh · 04/01/2007 09:42
