Hi fingerscrossed, still could be pregnant - lots of false negative stories on these boards.

Hope you enjoyed your drinks last night and if AF has arrived today then lots of luck and baby dust for January

Hello and good luck also to Hogmanyhangover and xmassycharlotte

Fingerscrossed2007 · 01/01/2007 10:53

Thanks for kind thoughts Nettee. Sadly AF arrived in full swing at about one in the morning. The body is so wierd sometimes. Although AF arived bang on due date the fact that it was less than 2 hours after I had tested raised an ironic smile. couldve saved the cost of a test.

Thinking about it this morning I realise that I can generally manage OK with the TTC thing until it comes to the last few days of the two week wait. As I have a 28 day cycle I guess I'll be luking around in here quite a lot this month .

Happy new year to everyone......and generous sprinkings of baby dust to everyone.

babylove123 · 01/01/2007 14:54

Joining you on the Jan thread too, AF arrived this morning. Gutted, absolutely shattered

At least it is over i suppose. Stupid doctors, why do they have to be right?!

honeyapple · 01/01/2007 16:20

Happy 2007 everyone...
who are the new people on here? or are they old MNrs with new names? I'm confused. Tell me who you are please!
Well I've started taking down the Christmas decorations already- Really feel like having a good clear out. I want a fresh start for this year- and a fresh attack at babymaking! No plans to track OV this month-we're just going to SH*G every day or every other day from now on! I'm looking forward to it.

Babylove- good to know where you are now with your AF finally arriving. Hope you can move on now.

Fingerscrossed2007 · 01/01/2007 16:25

Hi honey apple.
I'm a newbie. Have looked at the conception threads through this last twoweek wait. I'm trying for baby number one. in late thirties so anxious about probabbilieites especially as DP is older than i am.

honeyapple · 01/01/2007 16:48

Hello fingerscrossed, good to meet you!
I'm trying for my third baby for some mad reason! We've been trying for about 5 months now... how long have you been TTC?
I'm on CD9- so starting to hot up with the sex!
Good luck for you this month.
Lots of lovely ladies on this thread!

geekInPigtails · 01/01/2007 16:59

Just popping in to say hello - finally joining you all on this thread since AF arrived this morning. This will be my 7th cycle of trying. Wishing you all a happy new year, and lots of babydust!

Ready · 01/01/2007 17:05

Honeyapple - you know me I have taken all my decorations down too, and the poor tress is sitting in the conservatory by the door all sullen - he knows he's on his way to the compost heap!!

Good luck everyone!!!!!! It's CD24 for me today, and AF on the way judging by the cramps I have had the last couple of days Oh well, better think up a witty title for the February Thread!!

OP posts:
Fingerscrossed2007 · 01/01/2007 17:28

December was the third month of trying out of 5. Really going for it this next couple of months before going back to docs. Because of my medical history (lots of surgery to removed several fibroids in womb). I've got an appointment booked with a fertility specialist in the spring to discuss options furthter .

MrsBeee · 01/01/2007 17:32

Happy New Year Everyone. Hope you all enjoyed your celebrations last night - whether or not alcohol was involved (it was very sober in the Beee household)!

Sorry to hear about your AFs arriving geekInPigtails, babylove123, fingerscrossed2007, and anyone else I may have left out I have a feeling mine could be here in a week as there is definitely some PMT floating about me already.

honeyapple I have been posting since 2003 but have namechanged for this thread as dont want my mum and friends to find out we are TTC (they know I use MN) ! Welcome to this thread and wishing you lots of luck.

I suggest we name the February thread title 'Forget flowers and chocolates for Valentines day, we want a BABY'!

PinkElephant · 01/01/2007 18:59

I have changed my name yet again for the New Year - aka BoJingles and 1n2s.
I'm feeling so sad, as I found out I was pregnant before christmas and we were so shocked and excited I was then rushed into hospital with an ectopic pregnancy and have now lost both my baby and hope with everything I was so naive to think that once we were pregnant, all the heartache was over and that we could start planning for our bouncing baby. We even started discussing baby names, what to do with rooms in the house, work etc etc....and now its all over. Now we have to wait till the early summer before we can start to TTC again as I've been given toxic drugs. The thought of actually having a baby now seems such a distant dream It also fills me with absolute fear that if I actually manage to conceive again I may go through the pain of another ectopic . Why is life so complicated???

honeyapple · 01/01/2007 20:53

Hi Pink Elephant, my thoughts are with you.
Hope you start to feel better soon.

peanutbutter · 01/01/2007 20:57

i've been on mumsnet for just over a year (always with same name) but am new to the ttc boards...

that's my ov period over - now the wait. it helps that i'm back to work tomorrow and dh is going away so I can get back into my own routine. i have the test box sitting in my knicker drawer peeking up at me.

PinkElephant . I know it must feel like a distant dream but you're still very much grieving and that's normal and natural. give yourself time and be gentle with yourself. hope you're feeling a little better soon.

babylove123 · 01/01/2007 21:20

Hi Honey, havent taken the decorations down yet, got a nasty chest infection i think so its the last thing on my mind!

Sorry to hear AF's have arrived people, better luck for this yr eh?!

Awww Pink, im so so sorry for you! I remember you posting on the Dec thread, we were all so excited for you! I know that @ the mo it'll seem like you'll never be happy and that its a never ending cycle of crapness but altho our circumstances are diff, i've been getting thru it by thinking of how much its making me realise i want to be a mum. Im so excited, even told ppl when i shldnt have! Everytime af comes, i cry and feel shitty but i know that soon, i will be a mum and its keeping me going. Plus DP and i have been putting £50 away in an account each month called the "baby fund" so when we do get pg, we have the money to buy what we want, no expense spared! I just keep thinking every month im not pg = buying an even better pushchair, cot, highchair etc!

My thoughts are with you, xx

MrsBeee · 01/01/2007 22:00

So sorry to hear your sad news pinkelephant after such a terible start to the new year, things can only get better for you. I hope you are starting to feel physically recovered. Don't forget mumsnet will see you through the tough times.

goingfor3 · 02/01/2007 08:27

I've been on MN for a while but under a different name as I also don't want anyone to find out I am TTC! I'm CD 11 today and beginging to feel quite nervous for some reason.

PinkElephant - So sorry to hear what happened. Good luck for the future.

Honeyapple - I am also trying for number 3. How long did it take you to concive the first 2?

beansprout · 02/01/2007 08:31

Sorry to hear your news Pinkelephant. Hope you are ok

Nettee · 02/01/2007 09:27

Pinkelephant - so sorry to hear your news, thinking of you.

Honeyapple - I am new to the TTC threads as this is my first cycle but have been around on mumsnet for a while with the same name because of DS.

also to all those feeling devastated about recent AF - Hope this thread brings you luck

I am still playing the waiting game this month - analysing every twinge- implantation pain? AF thinking about starting? Just over a week to go for me

DH is so not on the same wavelength as me though - very much if it happens it happens and wanting to be more spontaneous - I do agree in principle but really hard when the opportunity is there on the right day.

HogmanayHangover · 02/01/2007 10:28

HI there,

I was on December thread under a different name (No, I will not tell you who I was)

AF arrived on Sunday (was due on Saturday)

Sorry to hear yur news PinkElephant.

Wishing everyone LOTS OF BABYDUST for 2007.

honeyapple · 02/01/2007 10:42

Ok Hogmanay, you can keep your identity a secret... as can all the other undercover MNers secretly TTC!

Goingfor3- i spontaneously conceived my last 2 DC- so I am completely new to this TTC malarky- and suffering with impatience and confusion as to why I havent got PG yet! DP is now getting impatient too...so has begun a campaign of leaping on me and excorting me to the bedroom at odd hours of the day (I'm not complaining!)...It also means I get to lie in bed reading my book for half an hour afterwards and dont get disturbed by DD or DS.

goingfor3 · 02/01/2007 10:48

honeyapple - I also had no trouble concieving my other 2 and am hoping for the same luck this time too. Reading these threads has made me realise that it's not easy and it has made me worry that I will have difficulty as this is the easy bit for me, the pregnancy is where I feel the hard work really begins.

babylove123 · 02/01/2007 11:30

Fingers crossed for all of us!!!

Ready · 02/01/2007 12:22

CD25, temp remained steady (well slightly up, but only by 0.1degree) but still feeling as though AF just around the bend!! You know, the tell tale pulling and bloating in the tummy!! I am feeling utterly disappointed today to be honest. I know I shouldn't because there are people out there who are suffering for real!!! I was stupid to think that it would happen straight away, this is my 4th cycle and it's really getting to me now.

I have a question - does it really matter what sexual position we opt for??

OP posts:
honeyapple · 02/01/2007 12:46

I reckon missionary prob the best, or doggy (god i hate that expression)- how about spooning- much nicer.
Girl on top not a good position! (for TTC)
What is supposed to be good is female orgasm after the event...

Ready · 02/01/2007 12:50

I think I might need to do a thread for people's experiences... To see if anyone has actually conceived in a more playful position!!
