Ladies!! I have had a little break and am raring to go this cycle. This is cycle number 4 for us, and I am currently on CD8, so just coming up to the "fertile phase" and plan on plenty of sex not BDing!!

I looked for a January thread, but couldn't find one?? I don't think I am the only one hoping for my BFP in Jan am I ???

Fingers crossed for everyone!!

Hello all - cd16 today, bd on cd12/13 and 14 and think I ovulated yesterday/today so hopefully done enough to get my third!! Although today feel thoroughly depressed and tired like I've already resigned myself it isn't going to happen again this month - daft really but after such a long time slowly giving up hope it isn't happening...sure I will be fine waking up tomorrow but not sure why I feel so fed up of it all..sorry to moan. Hope everyone is feeling okay.
Winnie and londonlottie - know what you mean about arguing around ov days as you need to be bd!! and men can be so mean somtimes! (although that didn't happen to me this month - quite the opposite so shoud be smiling!)

goingfor3 · 17/01/2007 20:40

How many of us are trying for our third? It seems as if most of us are!

Eaglebird - Sorry to hear about AF, good luck for feb.

MrsMcJnr · 17/01/2007 21:39

Furryfox ? hope AF didn?t run up today but it sounds like you have a great plan for Feb if she does

Greedy ? you never know, your DH could have Rambo baby gravy ? hold the hope girl! My friend had triplets ? she was REALLY big!!!

Goingfor3 ? there must be something good in the water near you if most people have 3! that said, fertility doesn?t seem to be an issue where I live either ? going to start following the big families round Tesco to see what they are eating Any more symptoms? There are twins in my family too, lots of them. I would love twins. The way I see it, I don?t know how hard or easy it is with one so how would I know if two is harder!

Boobylicious ? I don?t know anything about breastfeeding but surely night feeds cannot be a sure fast contraception?

Honeyapple ? I know what you mean about dates. My Dad is celebrating his 60th at the end of April next year and the whole family are flying away together for it. I am not keen on taking a baby less than a month old across the world and nor do I want to be sleeping on a boat when I am too pregnant ? I gather your sea legs abandon you completely so if I am not lucky enough to fall before June of this year, I?m going to have to take a break from June until October I think to be sure I can go. You might well ask what is more important to me but my Dad would never forgive me. Must fall soon!!! [begging emoticon] I would love 4 kids too but at the moment even one feels elusive!

Hi Fettle ? I?m feeling really calm this cycle, I wouldn?t say positive but yes, I have hopes I?m really sorry for your loss, I could feel it in your post and I am so, so sorry hon, sending you hugs and I hope it happens again for you with a really sticky one very soon.

Hello Flossam and thanks for your story how are you getting on? It seems to me with symptoms and with that ?just know? thing that some get it and some don?t. it is really unfair that so many signs of early pregnancy can also be signs of AF though!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you FactsandFigures ? sounds interesting!!!

Welcome Angie17 ? so sorry about AF hon. Fingers crossed for Feb.

Oh Winnie ? sending you big hugs, I know how that feels, all that effort and relief because you have finally got them to do the deed and then it?s all in vein. It happened to me a few times last cycle, I think it was to do with the prescription drugs DH was on for his back. It sounds to me like your Man is not yet feeling the urge for a baby as strongly as you are, don?t worry, he will. Hang on in there hon

Londonlottie ? I?m sending you a big hug too. Those vital night arguments happen to so many of us, it?s the pressure of it all I think plus real life gets in the way as you say. Hope you get a BD today, day of OV is the best day in my opinion, chin up hon, you?ve already got lots of good chances under your belt (literally!). WARNING ? going on Honeyapple?s suggestion, saliva isn?t good for swimmers. I wonder why they didn?t teach us that at school!!

Welcome Jersey hope it doesn?t take you too long to get your 3rd . Less about being old at 35 when you have 2 already!!!!! I?m 33 with no babies yet

Fingers crossed Munz

Sorry to hear that Eaglebird, hope you enjoyed the wine.

Hello Minxi, hope you feel better about things soon.

lissielou · 17/01/2007 21:51

any news anyone?

WinniethePooh · 18/01/2007 05:09

Thanks for all you kind wishes. We ha a talk yesterday and he now understands how upset I was and how much I want another baby.
I don't think he realised before how much I want number 2.

Can anyone describe OV pains to me as I think I mioght be OVing a bit later in my cycle than I originally though.

Currently on CD19 with AF due around 29th Jan.

goingfor3 · 18/01/2007 08:32

Hello,

AF started today, earlier than expected giving me a 26 day cycle. I thought I would be really upset but I don't feel too bad as it is only our first month of trying!

Good luck to everyone else!!!!!!!!!!!

Munz · 18/01/2007 09:39

tested today it wasn't the first pee of the day but one pos one neg (I like to double up incase! lol) anyhow, the pos wasn't as storng as before so pretty sure it's not a sticker and AF will jsut be a bit late

Munz · 18/01/2007 09:42

also have an abusndace of EXCM as well really noticable

honeyapple · 18/01/2007 10:00

Morning all.
Hello to MrsmcJr- good to read your long posts again! I didnt know about the saliva v. sperm thing... Well, I generally don't let him get that far, IYKWIM

Sorry to hear of AF goingfor3, but you are sounding v positive which is great. I hope you don't have to wait for a BFP as long as some of us on here.

AF due in the next couple of days. can't say I am feel overly positive. But, we did do as much as we could in the BD stakes. Still feel . I keep torturing myself by imagining how PG i would be if I had got PG earlier... AHHAHAHAHAHHHAH

Constantly prodding my boobs.

honeyapple · 18/01/2007 10:01

Sorry, forget to say-
Munz- keep positive. You never know, sounds promising to me. xx

goingfor3 · 18/01/2007 10:25

honeyapple - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I do feel fortunate that I already have 2 children espcially after reading these threads. I'm sure it will happen for me but if it doesn't at least I won't dwell on it too much as some people don't even have one child.

greedyforbabies · 18/01/2007 10:38

fettle - i should join you on the march thread cos i will miss feb too and i think i can more or less write off this month! i might start one and see if i get any posts!
honeyapple-you have resisted testing again then have you? well done!
sorry to hear about af going for 3, how old are your other 2? i might start a ttc no.3 thread to!

Not that it matters today but I recieved my ebay pregnancy tests. I chose ones suitable from 10 mIU/mL but the ones I have received are from 25 mIU/mL. Has this happened to anyone else?

honeyapple · 18/01/2007 12:02

Goingfor3- regarding PG tests, yep that happened to me... was a bit confused and annoyed... bad advertising etc. I think i need to read the small print on the ebay listing...

Of course I am very happy with the 2 kids i already have, and often wonder why it is i have this desire for a third. But I do and I cant rationalise it.

Greedy- i just bought a couple of first response (they'd sold out of clearblue... what is going on where I live???). WILL try not to use until AF due on sat. But might sneak one in tommorrow am.

Have been having crampy feelings for the last week... I dont normally get any until just before AF comes... confused...

greedyforbabies · 18/01/2007 12:11

fettle - i chickened out of starting a bfp in march thread! i cant quite admit defeat yet for january! daft hey!

fettle · 18/01/2007 13:36

Greedy - good idea - best not to tempt fate - you never know we might both be extra lucky in January still? When is AF due for you? I think in next couple of days, I'll start pre-AF spotting.

Hi Honey - I've been AF cramping on and off for a week now too - keep thinking AF is about to arrive, but still nothing

Winnie, I don't think everyone has ov pains, but I have noticed since my 1st mc last year, that I get a sharp pain in one side for a few days. i've also noticed the last couple of cycles, that I also get mild pre-AF like symptoms (nausea, sore boobs, spots etc - all very confusing!) Good Luck!

Good long thread, MrsMrc,but no news on how you are feeling? Trying to speed through the 2WW? Don't worry too much about travelling with a young baby - they are much more transportable at a young age, than once they start moving independently! we flew with DD at 5 weeks, admittedly only to Germany, but she was fantastic. I breastfed her on take off and landing to help her ears and she didn't murmer once. She even coped brilliantly with a very delayed 12 hour flight to Caribbean when 6 months old (she was actually less grumpy than a couple on their honeymoon!). Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, don't let having a baby put you off travelling - just don't find yourself heavily pg at the time, as that would be very difficult. Besides, this is all pointless as now you've made your GP appointment, you'll be pg by the end of Jan!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok - must get on with some work, so i'm sorry not to mention everyone! And the lights keep flashing on and off so i'm expecting my computer to crash at any moment!

take care and good luck all

x

FurryFox · 18/01/2007 16:47

Hi all. AF still not arrived, thought she was due around Tuesday/Wednesday but obviously not

Resisted doing a test this morning but couldn't hold out any loger and just did one - BFN Not really suprised though and not going to let it get me down as only first month of ttc anyway.

Not had a geat day today either. Found myself chasing the wheelie bin down my road earlier bloody wind. Managed to catch it though

honeyapple · 18/01/2007 17:36

Hi Furryfox, sorry to hear about the BFN. My AF still a couple of days away. In fact, i sometimes chart my cycles on a website mymonthlycycles... anyway it reckons i'm not due AF till Monday. Bit confused now. It seems to take an average cycle length- which for me is 29 days, but this is only because I had a freak long cycle of 33 days...
Anyway, can someone confirm to me...

1st day of AF= CD1
but then, if you say 28 day cycle, should this be 28 days and then AF starts the next day, ie 29th day... or is it 28 day cycle, AF starts on day 28...

Anyone?
Anyone even understand what i've just typed?

Ready · 18/01/2007 17:39

Honeyapple, I know what you mean. I have often wondered that myself. In fact I was researching on the net, and came across something that answered it for me, and hopefully for you now too.

First day of proper flow of AF = CD1 and then if your proper flow arrives on CD29 that means your previous cycle is considered 28 days. CD29 becomes CD1 of the next.

honeyapple · 18/01/2007 17:43

Aha!
Cheers Ready!
So maybe I have a 27 day cycle... oh i dunno, going to have to look at my diary...

Ready · 18/01/2007 17:46

Honeyapple, more often than not my cycle is 28 days, but I get the odd one that is 27days. But I think someone mentioned/or I read (so difficult to remember all the info sources ) that the body doesn't really work in calendar days like we do. So differences of a day or two are normal. I think.

OP posts:
honeyapple · 18/01/2007 17:51

I hope so... just been properly working out my last 4 cycles...28/32/28/27. So you reckon this is within a "normal" 28 day cycle?

I am due on sunday, rather than saturday if this cycle is 28 days.
Makes me feel better about the BFN the other day!

Ready · 18/01/2007 17:54

Honeyapple, I would say that sounds perfectly normal to me. The 32 day-er well those cycles happen from time to time. I had a 33 day-er once. But I would say if the norm is 28days and a day here or there difference isn't a problem.

You sound v. normal to me

Ready · 18/01/2007 17:55

Oh... but no more early testing, remember!!
