Good luck for Feb pretzel

Ready · 08/01/2007 11:09

Hello ladies!! Sorry I have been away a couple of days, I wasn't having a strop, honest. DH and I thought we'd do some fun things to take my mind of AF. Went to the zoo one day, massive retail therapy session the next, ate out, had lots of fun and plenty of giggles. Cheered me up no end.

Greedy - Sorry if you thought I was stropping cos of AF, just busy like you said. And of course I didn't need to test as AF arrived on time

MrsBee - I was giggling at you thinking I might have tested early, and at Greedy telling you about my alter ego!! Thank you for thinking of me though!!

Ammylovesbabies - I confess, it is true, I am the ClearBlueFairy!! You must promise me you will never test early again, or return to a BFN in the bin and dismantle the test!!

Beansprout - sorry about your GP and the depo, it all sounds like a pain in the rear!! (hug)

Fettle - Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed for me... do you think you can do it for me next cycle too??

Honeyapple - Sorry I haven't got any good news, but I feeling ok about it all.

Decorative - Yep AF was due on the 6th. AF arrived promptly on the 6th!!

Right e ho ladies... well I must leave this thread behind and start cycle 5 now. All the very best to everyone on here. My fingers are crossed for each of you!!! All the best.

How annoying, I posted under Pretzel first. Thought I should explain I was using Pretzel for a friend... sounds dodgy but it's not. Just asking a question for her, and so needed a different name, IYSWIM??? Sorry for any confusion. x

Happy New Year to you all old and new

I haven't posted on here for a while, but have just spent an hour (probably more!) reading through your posts and catching up.

DH and I haven't told anyone that we're TTC - it's great that nobody has a clue about us

Not really sure what my cycle will be doing this month - last month AF was 10 days late making it a 38 day cycle

This month I decided not to use OV test strips and just "go with the flow" and BD'd on CDs 8, 10, 13, 14, 16 and 18.

No BDing after this as I got this yucky cold that everybody I know seems to have so fingers crossed we hit the 'crucial' time!

I'm now on CD 22 and if i'm back to 28 day cycle AF will be due on 15th.

Lots of baby dust to you all

MrsBeee · 08/01/2007 16:48

oh Ready, sorry to hear about your AF! I kind of had an inkling that you were the clearblue fairy... lol!

I think i'm about to get AF as I have had a lot of browny discharge (sorry if TMI) and feel very premenstrual. Am driving myself crazy by visiting the loo every few hours to check whether it is true AF yet or not. Am I the only one who is completely bonkers on here?? I have been feeling sad all day and can only feel for you guys who have had quite a few months of going through this. I think I will be joining you on the February thread

We haven't yet told anyone about TTC because I couldn't realy cope with lots of 'are you pg yet' and everyone wondering. I think my mum would start with 'can you afford it? 'er, no', ' don't you want to move house first?' 'not really', 'what will you do about DS and going back to work....' (and add another million unanswerable questions). If we just tell people when it happens, they will all just be happy and let us get on with it! I just find the extra pressure stressful!

Nettee · 08/01/2007 17:05

Sorry to hear about AF Ready, lots of luck for next month.

Hi to FactsandFigures and Cityangel - I am new to this so you won't remember me from previous threads.

Can't believe we are still waiting for the first BFP of the thread - I think there are a few of us due during this week so fingers crossed for a change of luck.

Don't really know what is going on with me at the moment because I worked all night so feel quite rubbish, still holding out and not succumbing to the temptation of an early test

decorativeD2Bmum · 08/01/2007 17:53

a/f has arrived 3 days bloody late - i was planning on buying a clear blue tonight from tesco to test tomorrow am - oh well saved my self £10

peanutbutter · 08/01/2007 19:00

decoratived2bmum sorry it's not this time.

my af is due on Friday/Saturday. I'm trying not to obsess to the extent i did last time....

goingfor3 · 08/01/2007 19:04

decorativeD2Bmum = I'm really sorry to hear that. Good luck for Feb.

beansprout · 08/01/2007 19:45

Sorry to hear that decorativemum. When you are ready the February thread will welcome you with open arms (and a leedle chocolate biscuit too)

Munz · 08/01/2007 19:59

  • sorry to hear that D2M.

P/B - good luck for the w/e lets hope you're the first graduate then for this thread

mrsbee - I think we're going to have much the same from my mum - but tbh I don't care! and besides by the time bubba arrives we should be sorted out better - she says - well car will be paid for at least.

this thread moves quick - i'm gonna have to pay better attention! lol.

anyhow good news from our camp - DH has agreed to start from this month - woohoo, just caught the OV but highly doubt it will come to anything but v pleased all the same can get properly excited about things now.

anyhow thought i'd nick some dust from one of the old threads I was on many moons ago to hope it brings us all some luck

decorativeD2Bmum - So sorry to hear AF has arrived and kept you guessing for 3 days - she's so cruel

MrsBeee · 08/01/2007 20:22

sorry to hear that decorativeD2Bmum. Fingers well and truly crossed for you next month. FWIW, I have just had a (small) glass of red wine I am that sure AF is on her way...

greedyforbabies · 08/01/2007 20:25

really sorry to hear about your af ready and D2B. its especially cruel when she turns up late and you have got your hopes up isnt it.
whoops - you sound just like me! we have told everyone we are ttc except my mum cos i think she would try to talk me out of it! she too thinks i have my hands full with the 2 i have! how old are yours?
honeyapple - i have always had crap long cycles and concieved my other 2 kids fine, so its never been much of a problem until now! i cant believe i STILL havent ov'd and i am on cd31 and my DH has gone away now! that means i will have to wait at least another 45 days till we can try again! i am going to have to start a positive in march thread and chat to myself!

greedyforbabies · 08/01/2007 20:27

hope she stays away mrsbee! enjoy your wine! i am on my second glass already! i need to get a bit pissed so that i can get to sleep while my dh is away. (responsible parent that i am!!!)

Nettee · 08/01/2007 20:41

Greedy - is there no chance that you ovulated without being aware????

Decorative, sorry about your AF, wishing you luck for February

MrsBee your AF is due the same day as me so I have be especially routing for you - Hope you are just having implantation spotting??? Is it unusual for AF to start so slowly???

We haven't told anyone about TTC either but they can probably all guess from the age of DS and the stage of my career

whoopsfallenoveragain · 08/01/2007 20:52

Ready & D2Bmum sorry to hear af has arrived
Greedy - mine are 3 & 5!
MrsB hope that it is an implantation bleed.
Munz that's good news glad dh has agreed ttc
Can I ask a stupid question those of you that feel you have ov'd what/where is the feeling
dh is on lates this week and I think I ov over the next couple of days but I don't know if I am going to be able to wait up for him I feel knackered and keep getting a headache I can't shift

ammylovesbabies · 08/01/2007 20:55

Can't go to Feb yet. It's too depressing. So gonna stay here with my new mooncup in.

Thanks for the advice Ready. When DP emptied the bin and found dismantled tests he laughed til he cried!! When I think bout it now, it is totally stupid.

Greedy- wedding is in December. EEEEK!!

D2B and ready- sorry bout AF visiting, join the club!!

xxxxxxxxxxx

MrsBeee · 08/01/2007 21:07

whoopsfallenoveragain when i ovulate i get quite a specific pain, completely one-sided, and it feels almost like a spasm. It can last anything from half an hour to quite a few hours, in the pelvic region. Sometimes I even have to take paracetamol because it really hurts. Then I convince myself I have chlamydia, but it soon goes away!

JoAndTheBoys · 08/01/2007 21:16

Hi everyone,

Ready, ammy, and D2BMum, sorry to hear about af arriving My bleeding that started over the weekend is def af, has turned red and heavier. I second what mrs beee said, it must be really hard for you guys that have been trying a while, I am really sad and I'm only on first month...

On the good side, I have been able to enjoy a few glasses of wine this weekend to console myself!

Am really hopeful that I'll have a normal cycle this month.

Can anyone explain what a 'luteal phase' is and what a short one means in regards to your trying for a baby? In the summer when my periods were regular, I used to ov around cd15 and had a 24 day cycle - does this mean I had a short LF? And can you do anything about it - what's this agnus cactus stuff?!
(Jeez, 20 q's!)

JoAndTheBoys · 08/01/2007 21:18

Whoops, apart from ewcm, I usually get pain on one side of lower pelvic area that feels a bit like pressure building - it's really uncomfortable and goes after a few hours.

greedyforbabies · 08/01/2007 21:26

nettee- i take my temps every morning and they have been pretty consistent so i know i haven't ov'd. also i dont normally ov till about day 25 so my cycles are always long. boo.
