BoJingles · 18/12/2006 18:24

Hi everyone,
Wishing you all good luck with BFP's!!!! I have found MN soooo useful and I've gained tonnes of info from you all over the last few months. Sadly........ I don't think its doing anything for my emotional state right now, so I'm going to bow out gracefully whilst I'm still sane .

Merry christmas to you all

XmassyCharlotte · 18/12/2006 19:00

I'm left on December!!!

CD 17, OV today/tomorrow I think. AF due 28/12. Have bought tickets to a wild NYE party so in a way am hoping I can enjoy it!

af due about 28th I think! only had one cycle since having the coil out so not sure
Was planning on testing Christmas day if I can last out that long!

Eaglebird · 18/12/2006 20:29

I think af has arrived (had a bit of spotting) 2 days early, how strange. What a bummer.
So no bfp for me this month .
Ah well, the money I'll save on a pg test will go towards a bottle of wine & some nice smelly cheese tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone else waiting for a bfp x

MadameBRANDYBUTTERfly · 18/12/2006 21:22

I am still hear AF (or BFP) due 30th Dec so I am now on 2ww.

MerryKitkatmas · 19/12/2006 08:09

Hope everyone is OK and full of festive cheer! Congrats to all the BFPs and so sorry for all the BFNs too.

XmassyCharlotte · 19/12/2006 09:41

Morning all

Feeling a bit better this morning... although I must galvanise into action. I'm a freelance and not working at the moment and finding it difficult to actually get on and DO stuff!

Had a big talk with dp this morning... no BD for us last night or this morning, even though I got a + OPK yesterday afternoon. It's our first month of trying with the pressure of really KNOWING when the right time is, and we're finding it a bit tricksy. I know it's a common complaint, but I think it's going to take a while for us to work out our own way of going about this. He feels as though we're already behaving as though we've got a problem, with me charting etc. My answer is that I'm 36 and I'd rather give it my all from the start than waste a few months not getting it right. I told him that the alternative to charting and pinpointing the exact fertile time would be to BD 2-3 times a week, regularly, all through the cycle. Before we started doing this we had relaxed into BD just at weekends, which obviously isn't really enough. Food for thought for him, anyway. He's a bit upset this morning because he knows I'm a bit down that we didn't BD after I got my positive with the OPK. Our best chance of a BFP this month now is that we BD'd 3 days before OV.

Enough doom and gloom! Glad to see that we're still going strong on the December thread... good luck to those testing soon!

sparklytreeangel - when are you due to test?

RudolphsREADY · 19/12/2006 10:47

Sparklytreeangel - I'm on the Jan thread that I started and hope that I don't have to start a Feb one!! Fingers crossed!!

Greedy - You have pictures of everyone in your head?? Do I look like a reindeer?

Facts and Figures, sorry about AF. Hugs. But feel free to pop over to our thread for Jan, we've got the campaign for Real Sex there!! No babydancing allowed!!

Hope everyone else is ok, my fingers and toes are crossed that you all get your BFPs in 2006!!!!!!!

x

Hey all! Yep I'm still here in December (just) - OV'd at the weekend, AF/BFP due 30th Dec (same as MadameBrandyButterfly!). That's going to be an interesting one if AF is late/absent - we're hosting a new years eve party at our house, so can't use driving as an excuse for avoiding all the alcohol that'll be sloshing around! Hmmm...

Sorry to the people who've had AF recently, I know how gutting it is at first. But Christmas and holidays and fun for the next couple of weeks, so before you know it you'll be all excited again about the next cycle!

Still waiting to hear from babylove, she was testing yesterday I think? Tut tut, keeping us all in suspense...

Juicythe2ndnotsowiseman · 19/12/2006 12:54

Ticklemepink - just seen your news!!! CONGRATULATIONS

You must pass on the sticks - they must be magic - I got my BFP before I got the chance to use them too!! They must be springled with babydust!!

Yuletideways - expecting your BFP news any minute

ticklemepinkwithtinsel · 19/12/2006 13:07

Tnaks juciy i couldnt belive it either!! I will defently pass them on they do seem to be " Special'

How is everyone else doing,
ready i also hope that you are not on the feb thread!! xx

Sending lots of luck to all of you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

YuleTideways · 19/12/2006 14:15

Juicy - sorry to break the magic, but I received the sticks yesterday and af arrived today

Maybe next month...

YuleTideways · 19/12/2006 14:16

Juicy - forgot to say thanke very much

sparklytreeangel · 19/12/2006 16:57

Hey KitKat to AF but to some nice Christmas grog! A good consolation prize this month!

Greedy, yes I am a night owl much to the annoyance of dh! I am definitely not trendy! i'd like to think of myself as friendly and fun, but there are plenty of trendier women than me who look imaculate in the mornings

Hey Charlotte glad you are feeling a bit better. It is annoying missing on the peak days but three days before is good... fingers crossed.
I think we started bd to early and I OVd later so knackered dh out oops

I plan on testing Xmas day, but AF is due on 27 now unless i have a short luteal phase...

Rudolph, great idea real sex campaign we have banned the phrase bd at home and it seems to be working

Geek, we had a party too and I was rushed of my feet and found it hard to drink!
Ideas:
Have a bottle in your hand topping people up so they remember you with alcohol
Buy grape juice and put it in a wine glass
Keep losing your glass or get dh to drink it in the hallway
Fake a long drive the next day, stomach bug, hangover, antibiotics

Big hug Yule Tideway sorry it wasn't your month

greedyformincepies · 19/12/2006 17:23

sorry to everyone with af! she is such a whore isnt she? i know it sounds lame, but i really feel for everyone when their af arrives and they are desperatley ttc. big christmas hugs amd kisses all around!!!!!!!!!

greedyformincepies · 19/12/2006 17:23

its not like me to get all soppy!

RudolphsREADY · 19/12/2006 17:46

Aaaw Greedy, you ol' softy!! I know what you mean though, I hate seeing others AFs too. I want everyone to get a BFP either on this thread or the Jan thread!! Including ME!

babylove123 · 19/12/2006 17:47

Hi,

I expect you'll have already read through my thread anyway but test was bfn. Got myself extremely upset yesterday and today and feeling awfully low going to see docs 2morro. Gonna tell him how im really feeling and ask him if theres anything i can do to find out for sure. Dont hate me for it but i have private medical insurance so im tempted to use it and see how far i get. I just bascially wanna know, its ruining everything @ the mo. Sound selfish? Sorry if it does

geekInSillySantaHat · 19/12/2006 17:59

Oh babylove, so sorry for you. And no, that doesn't sound selfish at all, of course you want to find out whether there's anything specifically weird, or whether you're just suffering from the normal fluctuations bodies go through - really hope it's the latter. Try to enjoy the holiday season in the mean time! ((hugs))

sparklytree - liking some of those suggestions, might have to try them out. Of course AF might have arrived by then and I'll be drowning my sorrows instead, but hey, trying to stay positive!
