When to expect period - Provera

EllaMenoPea · 06/10/2015 09:42

As above really. I finished 5 days of Provera on Saturday to induce a bleed to start Clomid. When should I expect a period? Just wondering if anyone has any experiences. Google is telling me lots of different times. Getting impatient Blush

They never went through my abdomen, they went through my virgina. This was back in 2011, so I suppose there'll have been plenty of research as to why they've changed the way to complete the surgery. I distinctly remember my lap and dye was the single most embarrassing thing ever & I've never felt pain like it when they had to clamp my cervix in place to support the insertion of the tubes!

On another note ladies, I've been spotting for 12 hours, I think AF is going to make a natural appearance. My boobsl are about to explode they're that painful!

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/07/2016 08:49

Oh amy that's positive! No need for provera or the like and you can get on with clomid too!

I have started dreaming about positive pregnancy tests HmmHmmConfusedConfused

EllaMenoPea · 06/07/2016 09:10

Welcome danika Smile

Were you awake with yours amy? There's a HSG which goes through your cervix whilst you're awake or there's a laparoscopy which is under general anaesthetic and goes through your belly button....I had the laparoscopy danika and it was fine.

AF arrival sounds promising amy.

How you doing boggle?

How's everyone else?

I'm just sat waiting. Blood test on Friday and then waiting for test day. Luckily I have my DBs wedding this weekend and I am a bridesmaid so that keeps me distracted somewhat! Nips are still sore and cm has defo changed. I also dreamt about a positive pregnancy test last night. Hopefully it'll come true!

How are you ella?

EllaMenoPea · 06/07/2016 09:22

All sounds really positive boggle got everything crossed for you! Let us know how Friday goes.

I'm good thank you. Scan next week so counting down the days!

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 06/07/2016 09:30

I'll keep you posted. I hope these are all positive signs. Trying not to get my hopes up.

ah how exciting! Will that be your 7week scan? Xxx

EllaMenoPea · 06/07/2016 09:46

Yes, it is going soooo slowly!!

Ah how exciting! GrinGrin

danikagrace · 06/07/2016 10:49

Amy gosh that doesn't sound pleasant, making me be pleased it sounds like I'm having the other kind! And that sounds really good AF is coming without help.

Boggle Ooooh fingers crossed for you, I hope your dream is true!! What's the blood test test for on Friday? (apologies for my ignorance). TAnd enjoy the wedding, hope you all have a lovely day! What's your dress like?

Ella thank you for the welcome and the reassurance! Ooh not long until your scan now then, how exciting!! I bet time is moving in slow motion!

Based on what I read on the PCOS thread I ordered inositol powder and evening primrose oil the other day, I'm eagerly awaiting they're arrival so they can miraculously fix me lol. Anyone found they've helped at all? Or any other diet/supplement/etc stuff? Trying to do anything and everything I can before my next appointment, 23 Aug seems forever away and doing other things like that make me feel slightly less out of control and slightly less liable to lose the plot Grin

AmyC86 · 06/07/2016 11:11

Yeso ella I've was awake during my HSG. Im hoping that this spotting develops into something decent!!!!!

Not ringing the gynecology yet, going to wait until it's flowing decently!

YouBoggleMyMind · 06/07/2016 13:06

My blood test on Friday is a progesterone test to see it I've ovulated. Xx

I don't think it means anything I'm afraid. Try a first response test, it might be more clear.

danikagrace · 06/07/2016 15:55

Ahh thanks for explaining Boggle fingers crossed for you!

mumofmany I agree with Boggle - try a first response test or other non-digital early test with your first wee in the morning.

EllaMenoPea · 07/07/2016 15:56

moomin have you had your scan?

OP posts:
Moomin37 · 07/07/2016 16:54

Aww thank you so much for thinking of me Ella Smile Yes I had my 12 week scan today and was put forward a day (trust my baby to be super organised and ahead of schedule) so my new EDD is 16.01.17 (making me 12+3 today). We have opted for the combined NHS test and the nuchal translucency measurement was fine and now just waiting for blood test results.l (up to two weeks, but they call you sooner if they don't look good). Saying that, we went for the Harmony test last week and to my enormous relief the results came back as low risk for all three trisomies Smile Harmony is more accurate than the NHS combined test, but we thought it was better to do all the testing offered. Oh and we know the sex of the baby, but we're not telling Wink

How are you feeling and how far along are you? My exhaustion eased last week, but the sickness is still bad (but not been sick) - I highly recommend buying some sea bands as they have really helped to dull the sickness much of the time (shame I only got them last Saturday - duh!). It's just a devil trying to hide them under my sleeves at work! Going off more and more food and struggling to enjoy anything, but it's a small price to pay and all completely worth it.

Hope everyone else is OK - welcome to the newbies Smile Hope your nips are still sore Boggle Grin Oh and Robber I hope the pre holiday panic to get things finished at work isn't too awful - I just hate that Sad

Sorry must stop rambling on.

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/07/2016 18:38

Aww happy days moomin, so pleased for you SmileSmileSmile

Nips are still sore! Progesterone test tomorrow then it's a waiting game xxx

EllaMenoPea · 07/07/2016 18:43

So happy for you moomin!! Will you announce it yet?

You can't keep us waiting on if it a boy or a girl!! Wink

When do you find out the results boggle?

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 07/07/2016 20:55

I doubt I'll be called about the results, I wasn't for any other blood tests. I have an appointment on the 10th August to discuss next steps if we need to. Xxx

Moomin37 · 08/07/2016 06:21

Thank you so much Boggle Smile All the best for today.

Thank you too Ella Smile We're going to wait for a little longer before we tell anyone.

AmyC86 · 08/07/2016 13:45

Sounds like great news moomin but I agree with ella you can't keep us waiting if you know the sex!!!!

I'm day 3 of AF, jesus they're nasty post clomid aren't they! I've never felt cramps like it & I'm practically flooding off my feet Sad so glad I'm not in work this week.

On another note, rang gynecology to book a folicle check, and yet again they're not going to be able to fit me in! Last time she was over subscribed. This time she's on fecking holiday, so yet again I've got a month of not knowing until my cd21 bloods really not giving much hope tbh Sad

danikagrace · 08/07/2016 15:31

How are you all feeling ladies?

moomin that all sounds very exciting! And glad you've found a way to ease the sickness a little. You must be so strong to keep it a secret, I reckon I'd cave!

How did you get on Boggle?

Amy ugh that's so frustrating? Is there not a clinic or GP with those facilities nearby they can use just for your ultrasound?

Well I've had a really busy couple of work days - we've driven about 250 miles to various places for research and appointments and 2 very early starts combined with a late night have left us exhausted! But I have ewcm for the first time in months so need to try and drag myself into the bedroom regardless haha. Why now of all times?? Not that I'm complaining - happy after so long!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 08/07/2016 15:33

Blood test was fine. I doubt I'll get told the results so just waiting til test day now.

Hope everyone else is well. It's my brothers wedding tomorrow and I'm a bridesmaid so that's be a distraction!

RobberBride · 08/07/2016 22:39

Hi all

Hello newbies, welcome! This is a great thread.

Moomin squeal that's great news! So glad it is all going well.

Ella good luck next week at the scan.

Boggle and Amy good luck too, let us know if you ever get any results.

DH and I are both drowning under work stuff, I've done well over 50 hours this week :( I won't be around much in the next week or so, though maybe lurking, so please keep posting your news.

Moomin37 · 10/07/2016 14:42

Afternoon all :)

Robber I'm sorry to hear you're so busy at work and I hope it calms down soon - it can't be long until your holiday? At least your DH can sympathise as he is in the same position.

Danika I'm quite a private person and still finding it all a bit surreal, so not struggling too much with keeping it to myself TBH. Saying that I had to wear long sleeves all last week to hide my sea bands, although I didn't accidently flash them at a couple of people in meetings, but there's not a lot I can do. Want to get NHS screening test results (may hear next week - week 13 tomorrow) before we consider a gradual reveal in week 14.

Boggle I hope you've had a fab time at your brother's wedding? When are you planning to test - it can't be far off now?

Ella I hope the time isn't dragging too much for you the closer the scan gets. I thought I would burst into tears at my first scan, but I didn't as the news of the pregnancy and heart beat being confirmed just didn't sink in at the time. I did shed some tears at the 11 week scan though.

Amy can you go for a private scan? Sorry if someone has already suggested this. I guess it would cost about £200.

Thank you for your kind words and excitement. Instead of revealing the sex I can share a couple of scan photos, unless you'd prefer not to see, which I completely understand.
