Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

Wonderful news Jw35, congratulations! Love hearing about the BFPs.

We do seem to be a lucky thread fancyferret! Welcome on board. You will have a great helping hand from your dc1, that's the bonus of waiting.

Oh Loki17, it does sound confusing. Bloody hormones. Hopefully all will settle down soon and you will know where you are.

Hopefully! until then I'm just going to be a crazy person. At least I have you all Grin

Tinktink79 · 25/09/2015 19:13

Congrats on the BFP's that have already arrived, like fancyferret says hopefully this thread is lucky! I stopped taking my cerazette pill 3 weeks ago, so far no withdrawal bleed, no AF so thinking that things might take longer than I hoped to settle down to 'normal'. I did POAS last week just incase... But no... Not this time... Kicking myself now that we should have made this decision earlier but similar to others on this thread, it took me a while to come around to the idea of another child and it took my husband even longer!!

fingerscrossedgirl · 25/09/2015 21:23

Hurray JW! great news!

Fancyferret, I'm also 35 and my DC is 4.5; I had a decent pregnancy the first time but the birth freaked me out no end (nothing went wrong, really, it just hurt like absolute f*ck, even with the diamorphine, and it went on for a long long time) and so I've also been really wary of going through it again. But - 35 be damned! - got the BFP on cycle one earlier this week. It might happen for you too!

mum19821985 · 25/09/2015 22:28

Hi fancyferret, I am in exactly the same situation. I am also 35, my DS is 3.5 and I have dithered for years about whether or not to have another. I also had a traumatic birth which put me off having another. Hoping it'll be different next time round!

fancyferret · 26/09/2015 08:49

fingerscrossedgirl Congratulations!! Cycle one as well that must have been a lovely surprise. Great to hear success stories

mum19821985 wow very similar situation have you been trying for long or just starting out?

Tinktink I hope you get some idea soon of what is happening with your cycle after coming off cerazette either that or a BFP!

Confession of the day - I POAS and only on CD12 so haven't even Ov'd yet. I know is wrong and I won't do it again honest - its just I felt a bit queasy the last few mornings Grin normally I am quite rational oh well..

simplydivine05 · 26/09/2015 17:31

Hi everyone, I saw the words "lucky thread" and thought I must join immediately! We're ttc #2. I'm 1-2dpo today, will test around 9th Oct if I can hold out that long! This is cycle #3. Ds was unplanned and from a previous relationship so this is totally new to us. He's just as desperate for a baby as me and keeps asking when we're having one. Discussing it with him obviously opened up a can of worms with the questioning about where babies come from!

simplydivine05 · 26/09/2015 17:33

Forgot to add:

fancyferret - I poas the other day before ov too so you're not the only one being silly! I also felt queasy for a few days. Good job I've got loads of them!

Jw35 · 26/09/2015 23:51

Thanks everyone ??

Jw35 · 26/09/2015 23:57

Sorry not sure why the question marks came up!

JellyBaby26 · 27/09/2015 04:00

Congratulations Jw!

Don't think we have caught it this month. Must shag harder!!

jp0303 · 27/09/2015 08:04

Hello simplydivine05, your ds sounds excited, how cute! Good luck with ttc.

I must confess I POAS yesterday, it was a BFN and now I'm annoyed because I don't know if it is a negative or if I just tested too soon. I still had one left from a twin pack I had, the other one of which confirmed pregnancy with ds. Anyway, I noticed it expired Sep 2015 so thought I may as well use it. I'll wait until my tww is over now until I test again, that way I'll be able to believe the result!

Enjoy shagging harder Jellybelly26!

I'm getting so fed up. Feel like af is coming but I'm only getting spotting. No way I could be pregnant as I had am epic af 2 weeks ago and we haven't dtd since (af filled by spotting is not sexy!). Implant out last Saturday. No ovulation according to opk. The only answer is to wait and see but it's driving me mad. Nothing highlights the fact that I am a complete control freak like ttc! I didn't think I'd be like this 2nd time around. I had a brilliant pregnancy and labour with dd but a nightmare first 6 months because she had colic. I found mat leave so hard because I missed my job. Then when I went back to work I spent two years feeling so guilty. A few months ago I felt like I'd be quite happy with one. Life is so easy and she is an absolute dream most of the time. Then she started school 3 weeks ago and wham! I am suddenly so desperate for another baby! I know what is coming this time and still I'd cut off my right arm for a bfp! I'm really grateful for this thread. I can't talk to anyone in rl so this thread is helping me to contain my crazy. dh is so supportive but keeps saying annoying things like 'it will happen'. I'd like to think he doesn't get it, but in reality he is rational and I'm loopy. Grin

Loki17 · 27/09/2015 08:54

So I've had my 'crazy lady' moment of the day: I poas! BFN, as I knew it would be. I also did an opk too! also BFN. So, I'm stopping now. I'm going to sit back and wait for the witch and stop being so obsessive. I'm not going to track anything now until af shows up properly and I can start cd1. Good luck to everyone else, this shall be my last ranty post, I promise! Flowers

simplydivine05 · 27/09/2015 09:03

JW - I missed your bfp! Congratulations!

Hi JP, I'll keep fingers crossed that you're just too early. I think with ds I was a day late for af before I got a faint bfp but I wasn't ttc. I did however suspect I was upduffed but I don't think I tested before then as I didn't know I could. I honestly can't remember though. This whole deliberately ttc is a minefield!

Loki - it sounds like your cycles need to settle if you've just had your implant out. I've only ever used the pill so don't know how the implant affects your hormones but it must throw them out of whack. I think waiting to start on cd1 is a good idea.

jp0303 · 27/09/2015 09:36

PingOAS is compulsive! I feel like doing it again today, although I know it wouldn't be worthwhile, would give me another -ve and annoy me immensely! I haven't used any OPKs before, but could easily become addicted to those!

I do feel for you Loki17. If only there was an app for it and we could just hover our phones over our torsos to find out what on earth was going on inside!!

If patience is a virtue then we are clearly of dubious character!! Wink

JellyBaby26 · 27/09/2015 12:27

I poas today - 4 days early.

Obv was bfn. How early would it show? It's too addictive but o only have one left so should really wAit until I'm late shouldn't I?

mum19821985 · 27/09/2015 12:38

Congratulations JW! Amazing news! Well I POAS this morning, it's 5 days til AF, at first nothing came up so I made a cup of tea, looked at it again and I'm sure I could see the faintest of lines. Soooo faint though, dunno if I'm imagining it??? Maybe I'm going loopy now?? Ha ha. Testing again tomorrow Smile

mum19821985 · 27/09/2015 13:23

Here's a pic of the first test. I'm sure I can see a faint line! HmmHmm

Anyone ttc baby #2?
Loki17 · 27/09/2015 13:23

I'm glad I'm not alone in my poas loopyness! Fingers crossed for you both for the next couple of days x

mum19821985 · 27/09/2015 13:27

Thanks!

jp0303 · 27/09/2015 13:41

Mum19821985 I must be trying too hard to see the line as I can now see 3 faint lines in different places all up and down the stick!!! Fingers crossed for you.

OP posts:
mum19821985 · 27/09/2015 14:05

Haha oh dear! If you stare too hard you'll become cross eyed! I'll test again tomorrow and update on here! Xx

simplydivine05 · 27/09/2015 15:46

Jelly, it can show anywhere from 8dpo to infinity. Some women don't ever get a bfp on a home test. If you only have one left I would wait until you're a day late now. Or, you could order some online with next day delivery?!
Mum19821985 - I'm sorry but I can't see anything. The photo is blurry which could be because I'm on my phone. Test again tomorrow and let us know.

Fx!

JellyBaby26 · 27/09/2015 16:01

Going to order some cheapies...

I think I can see a line there mum!
