Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

Yeah shes getting better now thanks, shes still not eating properly though but were getting there :) x

FuzzyOwl · 17/12/2015 21:58

Kellz I try to think of it in terms of something clearly is wrong with me and a diagnosis means doctors take me seriously and know what medications or treatments to suggest to help me control it as best I can. Xx

jp0303 · 17/12/2015 23:30

Bad luck on your confusing tests Kellz, hope you're ok. Your Mum's visit to the psychic is spooky! Sounds like good things coming your way. Hope you're managing to stay positive about your diagnosis.

Oh dear Peyia, hope the apricots are helping! Soft fruit all the way. Constipation is dreadful for your mood so hope you've not been too down.

I am loving the labour stories! Definitely a good job we haven't got any ttc#1 on this board!! I highly recommend a tens machine, I loved mine, if anything it was great to have something to focus on as I had to press a button each time a contraction began and again when it stopped. I remember just before pushing getting in a muddle and being unsure whether I was pressing it on or off. My waters broke at a friends house (while I was demonstrating how dh & I were having to have sex to accommodate my 8 month pregnancy bump Blush) although I didn't have any contractions at first. Gx the midwife I spoke to after they broke advised me to go in to the hospital, so I did and was monitored for a bit then sent home with a leaflet about induction of labour with them saying if nothing happened in 24 hours they would induce me. Ds was born under 3 hours later with a bit of help from an episiotomy and venteuse. Loads of gas and air for the stitches!

I'd been told that when you get the ring of fire it means that baby will be out imminently, so I was trying to embrace that through the wincing.

Didn't get to go to my hypnobirthing class as baby was already born, maybe next time.

Hoggle, your upcoming date with friends sounds tough, hope it doesn't put you in a shit mood and that you do have fun, sure the new dress will help.

Are you feeling any better today Gx? Pregnancy hormones are a bitch!

Fuzzy im glad for my diagnosis as a lot of GPs dont believe in Fibromyalgia as no tests detect it. so im happy my gp believed me enough to send me to the rheumatologist and he believed me too,

JP I had a feeling that they were evaps so i didnt get myself excited. It is spooky, hoping its true!!. Im trying still a wee bit down after the diagnois but at least its confirmed

xx

FuzzyOwl · 18/12/2015 21:06

Glad you have a supportive gp and rheumy Kellz as it can make a huge difference. Not sure if any medication has been suggested, but I used to take pregbabalin (similar to gabapentin) and was told it is really important not to take when ttc.

Kellz92 · 20/12/2015 17:15

Im not on that, just cocodamol for when im a lot of pain and muscle relaxants but ive stopped taking for ttc. Trying not to have the cocodamol either unless needed. My consultants going to try keep me off medication as long as possible. Ive started getting a bit more exercise as thats meant to help xx

Gx91 · 20/12/2015 20:51

Hey all how r we doing? Sorry super busy time at the moment , just checking in to see how everyone's getting on ? Xxx

HoggleHoggle · 20/12/2015 21:37

Good here thanks G, how about you?

FuzzyOwl · 20/12/2015 21:53

I took and am taking cocodamol now Kellz and was told in my last pregnancy that although it is best not to take anything, it is the last trimester that is the most important to try and wean yourself off for.

You are brave shopping! Hope you're not too tired from it all. I do pretty much everything online but then watch for the postman all day in case he wakes ds up during his nap - the parcels always flipping come during nap time! Sometimes I think it would be easier to actually go to a shop...

No testing over Xmas for me, am on CD 11 atm.

Will you be testing in 3 days mimi? That's really exciting if so!

I think AF is due on Christmas Day, so am going to POAS on Thursday and Friday for the hell of it. Usually I get all excited about various imaginary symptoms, but I haven't had anything yet.

Kellz92 · 21/12/2015 20:47

Yeah fuzzy i was on it in last pregnancy for the pains i had in my hips. I had to wean off in last trimester. Im still trying not to take them if i can help it, but working in an office i struggle as im sore from sitting, was at the cinema on Saturday and i was achy after that.

Thanks gx im not in too much pain yet. Xx

MrsAmelia · 21/12/2015 23:34

Hi Ladies ... mind if I join? I've been lurking for a few weeks, but now think it's worth joining.

I'm 37 and my DD has recently turned 10 months old. I'm starting back at work mid-January, but I'd like to fall pregnant soon. DH and I have only just started "not protecting", but not actively "trying". In other words, I'm ttc and he's just not admitting it ;)

Congrats to those who've gotten their BFPs. :) Amazing news! Fingers crossed for those still trying... I really hope there is lots of positive news over the hols!

x
