Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

AF has arrived! I'm so annoyed. More so with having been fooled by my body into believing I could have been pregnant, what's all that nausea been about then? So confusing. I'm not getting too upset about not having caught just yet as only just started trying, and I'd prepared myself that it might take longer this time. Would have been sooo happy though if I was! Oh who am I kidding, I'm gutted!

Hopefully you will have a Jelly like experience Hoggle and maybe get a positive tomorrow.

I've already eaten about a baby's weight in chocolate today so will probably look pregnant by the end of the week.

Loki your situation sounds really confusing. Hope you're ok and not driving yourself mad. Our bodies are too complicated!

Sorry jp, that's disappointing. I'm sure I'll be posting a similar update soon though Wink

I know what you mean about the nausea. It's very cruel the way we trick ourselves without even realising. I've been googling 'lower stomach pain early pregnancy' this afternoon. Ludicrous behaviour!

I'm sending you a chocolate 'cheers' in any case, happy munching.

Loki17 · 03/10/2015 14:34

Sorry jp. I feel your pain though, I'm gutted too.

fancyferret · 03/10/2015 16:51

Sorry jp Sad- chocolate is definitely the answer! Onwards and upwards

simplydivine05 · 03/10/2015 19:22

Sorry to hear that jp. I have a glass or two of wine when af comes and treat it like my last for a long time! Not been drinking otherwise so it's kind of a treat. Here's to next cycle!

jp0303 · 03/10/2015 20:03

Thanks everyone Smile I am currently Wine in front of the TV waiting for the rugby. I've had a lovely day with ds and dh, as well as a bit of retail therapy and lunch with a friend, so feeling good and blessed. Cheers to next month!

Ah sorry to hear that JP. It is so upsetting when it shows up especially when you've been having symptoms. We try not to get our hopes up but it's hard not to when your body is making you think you are PG. Fingers crossed for Hoggle. I was a full 16 days late with my AF when I got my BFP with DD. Talk about driving yourself insane with symptom spotting and repeated POAS!! That shows there is hope until AF shows up. I'm not looking forward to a similar length of wait if / when we fall PG this time round. No sign of AF for me yet (was due yesterday). I am feeling nauseous but I had that last time before AF showed up and I think it is because of still BFing.

HoggleHoggle · 04/10/2015 21:49

Thanks latium! Although unfortunately I think I'm joining jp as pretty sure AF is on the way. In a weird way I am just relieved to stop second guessing every single thing. I realise now how lucky we were last time to get pg first time.

The sickness has been very strange though. Maybe a low level bug with unfortunate timing?

As for my pg looking stomach...I clearly need to look again at my eating habits. I honestly have a few week pg bump going on Blush

HoggleHoggle · 04/10/2015 21:51

Also - 16 days late! You must have been going insane! I'm at 2 days and they've been the longest I've had for a while!

How annoying that one of the rare times I'm late is when I'm ttc

Gx91 · 05/10/2015 08:59

Hey ladies I'm new to this as Iv just joined to find others in the same position as me ! I just came off the pill last month as trying for number 2 ?? I'm also going mad wondering if the symptoms I am having are all in head I've been going Google daft lol im due my period now have been having cramps, bloating , backache, headaches and constipation like last pregnancy but got a neg test 2 days ago ! Do you think I tested to early ? I'm trying to wait before using other test bcoz I'm scared of disappointment . I think i know my body pretty well and feel like there's a high chance I'm pregnant but will just nd to wait and see ! Just wondering if any of u guys are having any of the same symptoms ? Thanks and good luck to all ! ??X

JellyBaby26 · 06/10/2015 07:07

gx91 when is AF due?

Gx91 · 06/10/2015 07:51

It was due yesterday, just took another test this morning and got another BFN , nipples were tingling last night and had cramps again still no sign of AF Sadx just read ur post sorry to hear AF came , we have just started trying too totally expect it to happen first time but probs unlikely , I'm still living in hope analysing everything ! Xx g

jp0303 · 06/10/2015 08:21

Gx91 I'm keeping my hopes up for you, until AF arrives there is every chance that what you are describing could be early pregnancy. I am always optimistic so would be very hopeful if she's late. Good luck.

Thanks jp0303 can't think of anything else at the moment I know I will get turned away for a blood test at the docs so have to wait it out ! Good luck to you too Smile xx g

JellyBaby26 · 06/10/2015 09:43

Is there a chance you have irregular cycles and ovulated later than you thought?

Gx91 · 06/10/2015 10:02

Well Iv only just came off the pill last month , was only on if for 4 months and my peroid was never irregular before it , it could b down to that X
I'm only concerned bcoz I'm having a lot of pregnancy symptoms and they match what I had with my first pregnancy X and obv just really hoping I am ! lol Smile xx

FuzzyOwl · 06/10/2015 14:27

Fingers crossed for you Gx91.

Does anyone have much experience with evening primrose oil? I took it in the cycle I got pregnant last time but can't remember if you have to begin on CD1 or not. I am on CD12 now but not due to ovulate for another eight days.

Gx91 · 06/10/2015 16:06

Sorry I'm not sure was CD1 and CD12 are ... Haven't taken primrose oil either , r u supposed to ? Xx

beckslovestimmy · 06/10/2015 16:26

Fuzzy, what's the evening primrose supposed to do? The only thing I'm taking is folic acid? I've been really trying hard not to symptom spot but today I have (TMI) really sensitive nipples! This is not normal for me but I'm only 5 days PO so I think it's too early for any symptoms?? With my first pregnancy I didn't have any symptoms at all until 1week after my BFP when I threw up into my dinner at a meal out on holiday. I didn't stop vomiting until about 22weeks!

Gx91 · 06/10/2015 16:51

You might be having early symptoms as ur body will be producing more progesterone and estrogen if an egg got fertilised , everyone is different , I'm still waiting for a hopeful BFP but having a fair few symptoms each day ! Xxg

FuzzyOwl · 06/10/2015 17:26

CD = cycle day Smile

Evening primrose oil just increases your CM and I only ever took it in one cycle, it is just it had a 100% success rate for me as that was when I got my BFP.

Becks a kind of fizzy nipple sensation was the first pregnancy symptom I got and started several days before AF was due, so fingers crossed for you.

Gx91 · 06/10/2015 18:01

Good to know about the primrose oil if not pregnant this month will give it a bash cheers !

Becks you'lol maybe notice more symptoms as the days tick by ! Smile all the best ! Xxg

beckslovestimmy · 06/10/2015 18:47

Thank you ladies, it took nearly 2 years the first time round so I really hope I don't have to wait that long this time! The evening primrose stuff sounds interesting as last time it was found I had thick acidic cervical mucus. Definitely worth a try next cycle. Good luck to everyone else too

HoggleHoggle · 06/10/2015 19:40

Still no AF here, I had some spotting a couple of days ago but that's stopped. I have slightly irregular periods so I'm 3-5 days late.

My stomach still really, really looks like early pregnancy. I can hardly do up my jeans. I'm honestly not eating more than normal, less if anything because my stomach is so different. Still getting BFNs though.

Feel in total limbo.

Latium123 · 06/10/2015 21:03

Lovely ladies, good to hear there are plenty symptoms still and late AFs. Fingers crossed for another BFP soon! It's good to share tips too like the Primrose Oil. It's worth trying anything that makes you feel you have a little control I reckon.

Still no sign of AF for me (3 days late now). I am always very regular but as I have only just had return of AF from BFing, anything could be going on with me. And as for tingly nipples being the first sign, I am still BFing after a whole year so I don't think I'd even feel a tingly nipple, ha ha.

I really need to POAS but don;t have any tests at home, will purchase tomorrow. I have OPKs so I peed on one of them last night and one tonight and both are showing strong positive. Now, I did read somewhere that this can mean pregnancy but of course it is not reliable and I really need a pregnancy test stick to pee on. I know that I did ov around 22 September as I did have positive OPK then too so surely the positive OPK just now can't be another rapid fire ovulation?? Confused but still no AF and still having symptoms so hopeful.

Let's have some more BFPs.
