Hi any new starters on clomid
I just started my first round of clomid 50mg (3-7) had my scan on day 12 , two mature follicles on right and small one on left.
Had no side effects from taking clomid,but ovulation was so painful that I could hardly walk.

Would love to hear from other people there experience on clomid ..

Been trying for 3 years,miscarriage last year at 4 months, I do ovulate but not enough to substation a pregnancy,hence the clomid .hubby is fine with his sperm.. Am levels are low as well

Well Clomid didn't work for me - I had BFNs in CD26, 27 and 28. However, despite my first cycle being 381 days due to hypothalamic amenorrhea, I am amazed to say AF arrived on CD28 today :) DH says it's the Clomid that made AF turn up, but I'm not sure about that. I'm hoping that I'll get my day 21 tests results next week - it will be interesting to see if I did manage to ovulate. So on I go to the injectable gonadotropins. I will keep popping back to check in progress and hoping to see more BFPs here soon :)

Haven't been on in a while,just came back from a fab holiday in Turkey..

Hello again. I had a second scan today (CD18) that showed one follicle at 14mm size on my left ovary. I was told to come back on Friday morning for a third scan and that I will probably ovulate in a few days. I was also told about the injection they give that makes you ovulate in 36 hours. If I am due to ovulate in a few days anyway, is there any help/point in this injection? Has anyone had it? I ask because I have to pay but also because I wonder about its (side) effects. Thank you.

That is a good size for a follicle, I also private but they wouldn't give me the injection,don't know why....unfortunately I can't answer your question,but hopefully someone on this board will....good luck

Thanks Jackster123. I hope its a good size. I am still ovulating late even with Clomid though. It will be day 21. I normally ovulate about cd28 or a few days earlier.

I had a third scan today on CD20. I have one follicle at 17.3mm and a smaller one at 13.5mm. I was given the injection to trigger ovulation in 36 hours. Anyone else around ovulation now? Good luck all!

So in bed full of cold, period due today I can feel it, 2nd month of clomid a big fat fail..I really thought that clomid would be my magic wand on getting my bfp ..
Phoned my private hospital today to get information on Ivf ..
Also got my 21day blood results today...115 wow,so I am ovulating,just can't conceive .how is everyone doing ?

Hi Jackster, sorry you are not well :( Might not be your period? It's strange they didnt give you the injection but for me, I am not sure there was any point. According to my temperature charting I ovulated the evening they gave it to me (to trigger an ovulation 36 hours later). I am 4dpo and only today stopped having constant dull abdominal pain. I was worried and called the nurse but she didnt seem concerned and said the clomid dose and injection wouldnt trigger pain so maybe it's just that I had a stronger ovulation. I am glad it's gone now.

It's good that you are ovulating. If I do two cycles and dont conceive I will start IVF too (ICSI). I'm going on holiday next cycle so if I dont conceive this cycle I wont be monitored...at least I will save money. Good luck with your next cycle and get well.

@artylady...the reason they didn't give me injections was because my blood test was to high....weird how they gave you injections when you were just about to ovulate...af still hasn't come 4 days late, but to scared to test as I know clomid can delay your cycle,even though last month it came on time..
Got Ivf information through 3,300 without drugs,I was thinking of icsi but maybe have to see what will work for us...I'm also private they only monitored me on first round then left me to it,got 21 day bloods done on nhs...

Well af came this morning 5 days late,making me go from a 25 day cycle to 30 day.... I have one last attempt ,I feel 3 months is not enough time ????
