Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Welcome jelly baby-sorry to hear about your DD, gosh that will be a small age gap!

Good luck!

Annarose2014 · 23/09/2015 09:49

Day 34.......no sign of AF....my last cycle was 34 days. Previous one 36. That means that it could still come tomorrow and be a "normal" length.

13 dpo. I'm really trying not to test but I may crack today. Its driving me mad not knowing!

MrsSantaClause · 23/09/2015 12:43

Ooh have you got any other symptoms Anna?

JellyBaby26 · 23/09/2015 15:00

When are you testing Anna? Love all the excitement!

Annarose2014 · 23/09/2015 15:17

BFN. Pretty disheartened tbh. I've been so symptomatic during TWW so I'm quite pissed off.

I guess AF is just taking her own sweet time. Going to have lots of wine tonight and put it all to the back of my mind.

JellyBaby26 · 23/09/2015 15:26

oh no, sorry Anna

There is still time though..?

Breakingupwithcontraception · 23/09/2015 16:16

That sucks, sorry Anna. I have been weirdly nauseous the last week so allowed my inner optimist to hope for the best. Nope, period arrived today and brought me smack down to earth. This whole TTC thing is really disheartening isn't it. I wish I'd realised when I was younger how hard it is to get pregnant! I wouldn't have been such a worrier!

cantbelieveimonhere · 24/09/2015 10:53

started taking folic acid yesterday. 12 weeks to go.....

Tamara160 · 24/09/2015 19:16

Welcome jelly bean.

There's still time yet Anna, don't count yourself out until AF arrives.

Sorry to hear that Breaking. Better luck next month! I didn't realise how hard it was to get preg either!

I've had a fair few symptoms this month but between a mild cold and a uti i dunno what to think. I'm due to test sat so I'm desperatly trying to hold out until then.

Annarose2014 · 25/09/2015 10:23

Cd36 and no sign of AF. So I guess I'm still in the race. Nauseated yesterday too. But this uncertainty is really getting to me. My head is mush!

I refuse to test anymore. I can't take another BFN as I've had about 4 this cycle. So I"m going to just wait out the weekend and then I'm due at the docs for something seperate on Monday so i might ask her to test then if period still hasn't come.

Tamara160 · 25/09/2015 17:25

Oo sounds hopeful Anna!

I think I'm out this month. I've started spotting Sad. I really thought we'd done it this month. My friend text me on weds to say she was pregnant and today has messaged to ring her as she has some useful bits of info for when I'm pregnant. It's very thoughtful of her but just bad timing. I'm gutted about AFs imminent arrival and the last thing i want is to speak to my preg friend. Sorry for the rant, I've had no one else to speak to about it yet!

Annarose2014 · 25/09/2015 20:34

Oh huge hugs for you. Sad

Cookiesandcoffee · 25/09/2015 22:33

Sending a small wave.. been lurking as due to start ttc #3 but due to family circumstances we are leaving it a month or two. Wanting to get back into the mindset (and lingo, been 3 years since my second!!) wishing every one of you lots of well wishes this month

MrsSantaClause · 26/09/2015 07:10

That sounds tough Tamara, fx next month it will be you. Has AF arrived for you Anna?

Hi Cookies-it's 3 years since mine too Smile.

Breakingupwithcontraception · 26/09/2015 13:02

Sorry to hear that Tamara, sympathise with how hard it is when you are happy for a friend but sad for yourself at the same time. Fingers crossed for next month eh? Hi cookies, sounds like you are a seasoned veteran at this! X

Tamara160 · 26/09/2015 19:25

Hi Cookies! Good luck to you!

Thanks everyone Smile well after the small amount of spotting yesterday afternoon, AF hasn't arrived. Had a BFN this morning though. I'm normally like clockwork so this is late for me. I'm hoping AF stays away! I don't even feel like I'm due to come on... very weird!

Annarose2014 · 26/09/2015 20:14

I'm on cd37 and feel horrendous. Cramps, nausea, horrific backache for the past two days low down, exhaustion, the whole works.

I was so convinced that there was nothing else that could make me feel this way that I tested again tonight (I know.....) in the full expectation of getting a positive.

BFN!

So now I'm wondering if I have something else wrong with me like a kidney infection (cos of the backache). I went to bed at 7.30 tonight after taking cranberry powder and an ibuprofen. I have a 12 hr shift tomorrow which I'm dreading.

GP Monday. Hopefully she'll make sense of whats wrong with me.

Tamara160 · 26/09/2015 20:28

How strange Anna. I'm really surprised you didn't get a BFP. I hope the docs can sort you out and give you some answers. Hopefully a long sleep with ease your discomfort. Hugs to you! Flowers

Annarose2014 · 26/09/2015 20:46

Yes I'm massively perplexed as I'm normally not someone who gets any aches or pains at all. So this is NOT normal and thats why I was so convinced it must be pregnancy.

I don't at all feel like I have a virus or infection or anything, but who knows? Its hard going, whatever it is. Good luck to everyone else!

Breakingupwithcontraception · 26/09/2015 21:05

Sorry to hear you're feeling so crappy Anna... Hope a sleep helps and that the GP can get to the bottom of things x

Cookiesandcoffee · 27/09/2015 21:11

Sorry to hear this Anna, I hope you get an answer really soon. It did sound quite positive..
I'm so casual I'm yet to go crazy and buy sticks... It won't be long Wink but just having my final AF as I come off the pill.. Going to get a grip of my cycle again this month.. It feels so long without contraception...
welcome to you too JellyBaby.. I hope your dd is ok. And good luck!
Tamara that does sound rubbish.. Even as good as the intentions it still hurts . How long have you been ttc?

MrsSantaClause · 28/09/2015 07:03

Hope you get on ok at the docs today Anna Flowers

lostindubai · 28/09/2015 10:35

Hi Tamara, Anna and everyone else on here just thought I'd pop back in here and see how everyone is doing.

I've been feeling too nauseous to come online much - sort of miss the carefree chatter of this thread when it all began!

Hope all is ok with you Anna, and welcome to all the new arrivals on here. Best of luck to you all and hope to see you on the grads thread very soon.

Libbylove2015 · 28/09/2015 15:39

Hi All,

OK if I join the party? I am 34, trying to conceive no1 and am waiting for my first ovulation window with baited breath! As I have mentioned in another post, I have uterine polyps, so terrified this will hold things up.

Still getting my head around the acronyms (what is an AF?) and hoping to learn a lot from you all x
