Looking for like-minded mums to be who are taking things as they come and fancy a friendly chat along the way.

I'm 36 and just started ttc my second. My ds is 28 mo and I still bf him once a day, most days. I understand this may affect my fertility but, although a three-ish year age gap would be nice, I'm a long way from worrying about it at this early stage. It took me a year of trying (and a mc) before ds came along so I already know what it's like to wait for good things!

Technically I'm not charting or anything (wouldn't know how) just counting roughly 10 days into my cycle and dtd as much as reasonable (!) around that time.

It might not be the most dynamic way of ttc but it suits me for now Smile

Annarose I love the attitude! Good luck for next month Smile

Wow Dodi, you've really thought it through! (I have a feeling that I would probably be very similar lol!) Like, Dubai said, I would start trying in December and hope for the best.

Hmmm very confusing Camilla, I would try again tomorrow. Fingers crossed it's a clear BFP.

Hope you're feeling well Dubai!

CakeLady456 · 22/08/2015 11:31

Shagathon!! Lol love it!!

darkpandora · 22/08/2015 15:14

Hey ladies hope you are all doing ok Smile

I haven't been on much as been trying to keep busy I have 6 days till AF is due and I'm trying not to go insane! You lot have been chatty lots to catch up on.

tamara when are you due to test? How's things going?

dubai how's things? You ok?

reekbok you feeling any better? Have the pains stopped?

annarose that's the spirit! Next month will be your month!

dodi you are so organised! You have really thought about it! I would say try in December and I will keep my fingers crossed that it works out for you Smile

camilla did you use first morning urine? That's apparently the strongest so gives the best result. I wouldn't worry the digital test aren't as sensitive apparently so I'd just test again tomorrow. It's not over till AF arrives

To everybody else (there's quite a lot of us now so forgive me for not including everyone) hope you are all doing ok and if AF got you FX for next month and if AF is due I hope she stays away Smile

jorahmormont · 22/08/2015 15:19

Hello any room for one more? We've been relaxed TTC (so relaxed we've barely had sex) for the last two months :)

Reebok · 22/08/2015 16:18

Hello to all the new members. Just been scrolling through, trying to catch up!

The shagathon comment has me in stitches!! Brilliant and love the positive attitude!

Camilla, when are you due? I wouldn't use digital if you are not late as it requires something like 25mui to work and if you are early on, it will not read. When I was pregnant with LO, clear blue kept giving me negatives until I was 6-7 days late but I was very much pregnant. Good luck and retest with fmu tomorrow!

The pain has subsided for now Dark. Thank you for asking. I feel mad though as I refuse to take off a pad. Haven't even been to the gp yet. Trying to get myself to at least 6 weeks without bleeding.

Welcome Jorah! The more the merrier!

Good luck to all those in their tww...here's hoping there are some more bfps very soon! Sorry to anyone I've missed.

darkpandora · 22/08/2015 16:37

Welcome jorah lovely to have you join and to any other lurkers you are all welcome too don't be shy Smile

Reebok your not mad you suffered a mc your bound to be nervous this is your pregnancy and if having a pad on till 6 weeks makes you feel better than so be it take things at your own pace. Flowers

Reebok · 22/08/2015 19:00

Thanks Dark. I'm a bundle of nerves at the moment. Pregnancy after miscarriage is scary. When I was pregnant with LO I couldn't connect with her until I got to 20 weeks and she started kicking as I was convinced I would mc again.

Just been watching that film what to expect when you're expecting and it gets to the part where everyone is in labour. I started bawling like a baby which scared my LO. She started hugging me and crying too! Lol

jorahmormont · 22/08/2015 19:24

I haven't managed to finish "What To Expect" Reebok, I got as far as about halfway through and that was it I couldn't watch it without sobbing.

MillieMoodle · 22/08/2015 22:38

Hi all

I've missed loads it seems so need to go back and catch up but it will have to wait til tomorrow as I'm exhausted tonight. AF gone and no other news here, just checking in.

Tamara160 · 22/08/2015 23:17

Hi everyone!

Dark - I'm due to test on Saturday, so a week to go! I don't feel very lucky though... i'm exhausted and feel slightly sicky for most of the day but perk up by the evening and have been having small cramps. I'm trying not to get my hopes up though, as it could just be AF and hayfever. Like you Dark , i'm just trying to keep busy.

Hi Jorah! Wow that is very relaxed, you'll fit right in Smile

I have everything crossed for you Reebok! I've never heard of that film before. I'll have to google it.

Well tonight I have been out for my friends birthday. We started at the pub and then I drove a few of us into town (i'm not drinking just in case!). Poor DH hung his head out of the window the whole way because he felt sick! So, we came home leaving the others in town. As soon as he got in the house he promptly paid a visit to the porcelain god and is now asleep on my loo floor. Poor bloke, hardly ever drinks and is a terrible lightweight!! I tell you what though, I never realised how irritating it is to be around drunk people when you're the only one not drinking!!

Sorry for the ramble! It's been one of those days what with one thing and another!

camillaMc · 22/08/2015 23:19

Thanks everyone! Hosted my sister's hen do today so lots to distract me! And managed to not drink (just in case!) with your anyone noticing.
I took both tests first thing in the morning so will try again tomorrow. Third time lucky! Have bought a digi and two other tests as well...still no AF (packed tampons today just in case). Tomorrow will be three days late. Will report back.
Hope everyone's had an amazing Saturday in this heat!

AnnaC82 · 23/08/2015 12:25

Hi everyone, mind if I join you? I'm trying to be relaxed TTC #1 but it's not going too well!

I came off the pill last month, have been on it for a good number of years, but as far as I recall when I've had breaks, I wasn't particularly irregular or had a long cycle...

I'm now on cd32, had some bleeding a couple of weeks back (can't remember the days as I was on honeymoon and all the days blurred into one another!) that when I googled I found could be implantation bleeding, plus have had sore boobs that I'm convinced are bigger, the odd twinge in my pelvic area and a bit of nausea. I have IBS though, which could explain a lot of that!

Did a hpt on Wednesday and yesterday, both BFN. But still no sign of AF!

My skin feels particularly greasy also (which it never is), has anyone else had this, either has pregnancy symptom or when coming off the pill?

jorahmormont · 23/08/2015 13:32

My skin became horrendous for a couple of weeks after coming off the pill Anna.

camillaMc · 23/08/2015 13:36

Hi everyone. Tested again this morning and had three negatives. Still no AF but I am thinking now it is late and will turn up at some point. Having tried to get excited about the positive test on Friday, the emotion got to me this morning and I've been crying on and off since this morning.

Feel so silly as I am trying to be relaxed but it just gets the better of you sometimes!

jorahmormont · 23/08/2015 13:51

What tests are you using camilla? That BFP you posted earlier looks very very positive, are you using digis?

camillaMc · 23/08/2015 13:59

Clear-blue digi yesterday and then I had to stay at my sisters last night so picked up 2 sainsbury's own brand on my way over. Used those with FMU this morning, and got two negatives within two hours of each other.

On my way home this morning went to super drug and picked up their own brand as people online suggest sainsburys aren't that sensitive. Tested using the Superdrug test as soon as I got home but that was negative (but also not using FMU).

I don't want to drive myself insane by testing non-stop! But you're right, that positive test was definitely positive. So frustrating

jorahmormont · 23/08/2015 14:07

I think Sainsburys are supposed to be pretty weak. I've also heard that you're meant to go for pink dye rather than blue dye, if the Sainsbobs ones were blue dye?

I can't offer a huge amount of advice as my only ever BFP was on a blue dye test, but I was four weeks late at the time.

camillaMc · 23/08/2015 14:17

Thanks Jorah. I've just had a good chat with my husband and feeling better about things. Still feeling a bit fragile but going to cook a nice curry for dinner and find a funny film to watch to lift my spirits!

Hope everyone else is having a good Sunday...any news?

InFrance2014 · 23/08/2015 15:46

Hello again everyone,

I'm back from my fortnight of fieldwork - wow a lot of posts to catch up on, great to see more people and more BFPs here.

I can add to the total- AF was due while I was away, managed to wait for test til 2 days overdue, and got a nice BFP Smile.

Am feeling a little like Reebok though, almost like I can't believe it til I can see the first full scan. Having more symptoms than either 1st pregnancy or the mc (which I had absolutely none for), so am hoping this is a good sign.

Hopefully I can keep track of everyone better now I'm back!

InFrance2014 · 23/08/2015 15:55

[ has anyone been keeping tabs on who's here, and could do a quick catch-up- for me and newbies? I know I'm going to get lost trying to read back all the posts and names for the last two weeks! ]

MillieMoodle · 23/08/2015 16:27

Have caught up at last Smile

Camilla - sorry to hear you are getting bfn's. It's so disheartening isn't it. Keeping everything crossed that AF doesn't show up.

Congratulations France, lovely news.

Reebok - hope you're feeling a bit better and the antibiotics worked.

Have had a lazy-ish weekend. Am off work tomorrow as well so finding it hard to be motivated to do anything at home. DH and I are cracking on with ttc this monthWink, cd 10 here and keeping everything crossed that this is our month.

jorahmormont · 23/08/2015 19:29

Congratulations France :)

applecatchers36 · 23/08/2015 19:33

Great news France many congratulations!

Someone once told me that sickness was a good sign for a healthy baby, not sure if they were just trying to make me feel better though.....

Tamara160 · 23/08/2015 19:36

Congratulations InFrance! That's great news! Flowers

Camilla, that sounds like a good plan for this evening. I hope the curry is yummy. Hmm maybe it's taking a while for the HCG levels to rise. I'd leave it for a few days then have another go if AF hasn't arrived.

Welcome Anna! Sounds promising! When is AF due?

dodi1978 · 23/08/2015 20:19

Congratulations InFrance!

Oh ladies, today was not a good day. I had gone of the pill two weeks ago and today the hormonal slump hit me. I was an emotional and argumentative wreck. The poor husband (who was quite emotional). DS took it in his strides.... I was arguing and crying whilst he was having his lunch and, with no one to entertain him / telling him to eat, he just fell asleep on the table... we only noticed when he almost rumbled off the chair.

Out swimming in the afternoon and then for a dinner at Giraffe, so feeling a lot better now!
