Short Luteal Phase

So after 6 months of ttc I've worked out I've got a short luteal phase of 9 days, however it could be even less. I get a positive opk on day 19 and 9 days later AF appears. I'm fearing it could be less that 9 days if I ovulate 24-36 hours after a postive opk. No suprises that there hasn't been a bfp yet. I'm thinking this is my obstacle. Seems I've tried everything else. Do I go to my GP? Is there any point? On preconception vitamins with b6 in and have been in them for three months and no changes. Also AF is really painful every month, wondering if there is more to this. Any ideas? Or anyone experienced/ing similar?

I expect so! Although with DD I got away quite lightly in the first trimester, some minor nausea from about 7 weeks.

Mrs, Booked a private one, Googled for a place in our city, £99.

Paying privately for mine too - recommended by the fertility doctor I saw for my treatment. I've not had a booking in appt yet so I'm not even "in the system" with the NHS.

Re: diets. I git my BFP the month I went dairy free. Pretty sure it wasn't the clincher but I'm pescatarian and I'm quite interested in veganism so only eggs and fish left to cut out now!

Sanch1 · 18/10/2015 22:05

What DO you eat mugoo?!

mrsmugoo · 18/10/2015 22:14

Normal food! I use non dairy milk (current favourite is hemp). Lots of roasted veg, salmon, white fish, tuna etc! For dinner tonight I made a Thai red curry with loads of veg (pak choi, butternut squash, mini corn) and some quorn pieces yum. I often make curries and stir fries with prawns.

Lunches are often soups or pitta sandwiches - avocado, tuna, Humous that kind of thing. I adore sushi.

I do love eggs though but I really do need to stop eating them as it's cruel that male chicks get killed as soon as they hatch, regardless of how free range or organic the egg you eat is.

This is really interesting as I am usually on a dairy free diet, MrsMugoo it sounds as though my diet is fairly similar to yours although I havent tried hemp milk, although the past couple of weeks I have started to introduce dairy back into my diet as I would like to gain a few pounds x

You could just add coconut oil into food or eat an avocado a day of you needed to up your calories. Or eat more nuts they are pretty calorie dense.

Mind blown, I think I'll just stick to slimming world and make sure I increase my water intake as I'm terrible for not having a drink.

I've cut out caffeine completely. As for dairy I read whole fat?

Back to the gym for me too Sad
