Hi ladies,

Just joined up & wanted to say hi & to see if anyone else in a similar boat to me?

I'm 29 and this is my first cycle off the pill. Currently on day 29th & so far not much is happening. I've been tracking my temp, so far no rise for ovulation. I have been treated for PCOS a few years ago but can't ever remember a normal cycle. I managed to get pregnant but sadly ended in miscarriage at 8 weeks. Went back on the pill not long after. Feeling nervous that my cycles could still be linked to PCOS or is this just down to the pill?

What have other peoples cycles been like when stopped the pill?

Xxx

London!
Eeee that is exciting!! Slightly jealous of your AF. Where's Miiiiinnnnneeee??
keeping my fingers crossed too. Optimism never hurt anyone. We have The Plan remember...

Wonder who will be first to drop?! I have lots if slightly grisly memories of my mum saying 'your father only had to look at me and I was pregnant'. Cringe

Tamara160 · 28/05/2015 22:24

Ahh yeh staying in touch would be great :) fingers crossed for summer/autumn BFPS! I'm near Leicester up in the Midlands :)

HannahFlo - Very exciting!! I bet it's sooo tempting to start asap!
KtKaye - That last comment made me laugh loads! Reminded me of my mum, 'the women in this family are super fertile' thanks mum, no pressure then! x

Tamara160 · 28/05/2015 22:26

Belle - I'm the same, I've got my fingers crossed tightly for August! Optimism never hurt anybody! x

Belle888 · 28/05/2015 22:32

I'm from Cornwall Smile glad we can all stick together. Have you told any friends or family that you are trying? Kt are you still planning on doing a test before your night out?

ktkaye · 28/05/2015 22:46

Not told a soul because officially we aren't! Just when it comes to it we aren't being careful. At all.
Have you?
I am going to test tomorrow but also don't want to because really I know it's a bfn and however practical I am about it that's still oddly difficult?

Tamara160 · 28/05/2015 22:54

I've told my parents about it and they're very supportive. My mum is thrilled and is already planning what we'll need lol.

KtKaye I get what you mean. It makes sense to do it to check but it's still hard to see a bfn. Hope you enjoy your night out though!

Belle888 · 28/05/2015 23:08

We have only told our parents too and same as you tamara my mum thinks all her Christmas's have come at once! Not too keen on telling anybody else at the moment. It's hard enough just me playing the waiting game let alone thinking all your friends are thinking it too! X

HannahFlo · 29/05/2015 06:41

Only my best friend knows we are trying...she lives with us. However everyone is waiting for us to drop the news, which is sweet but also some pressure! I put enough on myself at times Shock

Morning all. A much expected BFN. Boo. Now off to help my heavily pregnant best friend decorate her nursery lol x

Belle888 · 29/05/2015 10:20

Ah that's a shame kt, on the upside at least you can enjoy your wine tomorrow! We are going to my friends engagement party tomorrow so plan to do exactly the same! X

Tamara160 · 29/05/2015 14:44

Northampton isn't far at all, we have some family that way so often go there.

Ahhh KtKaye what a day! Like Belle said, you can enjoy your wine tomorrow now! Decorating the nursery will be fun, you can think about how you could decorate yours!

Does anyone get the 'bump check'? I've noticed that since getting married, if I see someone I haven't seen since the wedding they all go 'Oh hi!' but then look straight at my stomach to check for a bump! Does anyone else get this? x

ktkaye · 29/05/2015 21:40

Definitely get the bump check!! And the casual chat about children. People always seem keen to tell me there's no rush?! Once they have established I'm not pregnant. Ooo also the knowing look if you decide not to have wine, even if you are just driving.
Thanks for the lovely comments, had a lovely day with my best friend and her bump so feeling quite perky now. Plus having some prosecco!! How are you ladies? Xx

Belle888 · 29/05/2015 22:16

Haha oh yes! Ever since our wedding everybody seems to think the greeting 'hi, how are you? No babies yet?' Is an acceptable greeting! I went to a work conference 2 weeks ago and it was like nobody could relax around me until I had a glass of wine in my hand and they knew they were safe!! X

Tamara160 · 29/05/2015 23:01

Hahaha Belle that made me laugh lots! I got a few funny looks the other week at work because I haven't had coffee for a while (i'm a teacher so some days I mainline the stuff lol)!
It's so good to know i'm not the only one who gets 'the look' and comments.

KtKaye - glad you had a good day :)

I've had a fairly good day, been babysitting my friends 2 children this evening. That mainly consisted of playing hide and seek, chasing them around the garden and playing hairdressers. So all in all, a fun evening! Feel like I need to do something grown up now though!

ktkaye · 30/05/2015 10:11

Oo Tamara I'mma teacher too! (Also a recovering caffeine addict). What age group do you teach?

Belle that is funny! I am off to see my friend this weekend. She's one who literally stands and watches me drink wine before she is satisfied I am not 'with child' as she calls it. Last time I saw her I was pacing myself with the booze (we weren't trying then) and she became convinced I was 'withdrawn and hiding. Are you pregnant?!' Erm...

HannahFlo how's your weekend?

Tamara160 · 30/05/2015 11:30

ooo KtKaye! I teach Foundation at the moment, I love it! Trouble is it's not helping with my broodiness! Haha! What year group do you teach? It'll be great to get another teachers perspective on being pregnant (when it actually happens of course!).

ktkaye · 31/05/2015 01:36

Me too!! I teach Reception. They are lovely, my first class and Inadore them. Lots of pregnant mums at the school gates and toddlers running in and out in the morning. I am surrounded!!! Yes will definitely be keen to track your progress as and when. Teaching and early pregnancy look slightly forbidding. I'm hoping to 'catch' before the holidays so I can spend the first few weeks off with my feet up over July/August (blatantly won't happen) Grin

Belle888 · 31/05/2015 07:03

Hi girls! Majorly hungover and can't sleep! Had an amazing night catching up with lots of old friends and my friend asked me to be a bridesmaid for her ??. Thankfully the venue she has fallen in love with is fully booked next year so it's going to be a June 17 wedding. Hoping by then we will have our baby here with us! Hope you girls had a good night too x

ktkaye · 31/05/2015 19:42

That's lovely news Belle! Where is your friend hoping to get married?

I'm recovering from a good night out - aided by Thai food. Yesterday I managed to poke myself in the eye with a menu (don't ask) so I'm sporting an attractive squint at the moment! Hope it heals before work tomorrow.

Tamara160 · 01/06/2015 17:13

Aww foundation are brilliant! I nearly cried over a piece of writing the other day, i blame the hormones and broodiness! Haha. That sounds like a good plan, we're hoping to catch early august. I hope you catch when you plan to!

Ahh Belle that's so exciting, congratulations! Fingers crossed your baby will be here by then! Glad you had a good night :) x

Tho123 · 01/06/2015 17:43

Hi,

Do you mind me asking roughly how old you guys are?

I've been on the pill since late teens, now mid thirties, I dread to think how my body is going to react!

Tho.

Tamara160 · 01/06/2015 18:35

Hi Tho! I'm 26 and been on it since my teens. So far I've been ok, just more emotional than normal. My cycle seems to be settling too thankfully! X
