Today I'm 4 days past ovulation- I think. So that makes me due AF 8th May.

I'm 27, and first month ttc #1.

Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

I'm awake!

Test again tomorrow and hopefully it'll be darker. Fingers crossed for you!

chelle792 · 09/07/2015 06:33

I'm so hopeful. I had my first yuck moment with food yesterday. Opened the bread bin and nearly puked. Gave OH my garlic bread yesterday evening because it was so disgusting - definitely not like me at all! OH said 'if you're not pregnant there's definitely something wrong with you at the moment'

Rickalicious · 09/07/2015 07:55

I had a revelation last night..... If I take my thermometer out before it beeps it hasn't reached the actual temperature yet and I regularly get bored or think my thermometer is broke when it takes ages to beep. No wonder my temps are so erratic....and It could also mean my chart is totally out and I could have ovulated when expected and not a week late.

That would mean I could be either 7dpo or 12dpo today :-s It may also explain why I've had cramping and backache since Sat (2dpo/9dpo)

I'm not getting my hopes up tho and will test on Monday as planned and if it's a strong positive will get one of those tests that shows you how many weeks.

I'm not sure if it's even our month as we didn't have that much sex, although if my ovulation dates are right we managed 1 day before the expected ovulation and 2 days before the late ovulation so who knows!

Rickalicious · 09/07/2015 07:57

Chelle I really hope all your symptoms give you your BFP, it will make us lol feel much better for crazy symptom spotting!

Are you testing again today?

Rickalicious · 09/07/2015 08:12

I mean with more sensitive test!

chelle792 · 09/07/2015 08:16

I probably will test again, maybe tomorrow - I've completely missed my Saturday testing with lod Blush it was the bread thing that made me think I have to test because not knowing was awful - you guys understand that.

rik, i think you should test. i'm 12dpo today too. Or do so with lod on saturday?

LastOneDancing · 09/07/2015 08:36
Angry

No it's fine! Oh I hope you do get your +ve Chelle what test did you use this time?!

I'm staying firm for Saturday but remaing unhopeful, with a twist of 'maybe'. I had some funny bubbly flutters yesterday which reminded me of the growing pains I had with LLOD.

But if that's really what it was I'd be jeffing humongous by the time the baby arrived Sad

Rickalicious · 09/07/2015 08:53

I'm kind of thinking there is no harm in waiting until Monday either way, I guess I will see if there are any signs that I should test early, maybe discuss it with DP and see if he thinks I should test before...... although in reality he has no idea about cycles and thinks I'm nuts researching it all so much anyway.

I have some IC test that are 10mlu, I think they are as sensitive as you can get, and a couple of first response tests, I've read somewhere that they are 12.5mlu sensitivity. Which should I use first? The branded test or the more sensitive.

What tests does everyone else use or are planning to use?

Rickalicious · 09/07/2015 08:56

Actually I could be 14dpo today not 12....there were 7 days between the 2 possible ovulation dates.

LastOneDancing · 09/07/2015 10:20

I got a strong + with LLOD at 12 dpo on a FRER and that's the only reason that they are my HPT of choice.

bugista · 09/07/2015 10:44

FX to those testing soon - Chelle that sounds really encouraging, let us know when you test again tomorrow!

Rick that's interesting about your temps! What kind of thermometer do you use? I bought one off Amazon but I really want to get a new one because it beeps really loudly for ages and always wakes up my OH! I want one that subtly beeps. ;-)

Lod sorry what's a FRER? Not up with the acronyms yet!

I'm not noticing any more side effects so don't think this is our month. Out of interesting - when do you guys think is the 'right' time to test? My app is telling me 12DPO but that seems so far away (on 5DPO).

Rickalicious · 09/07/2015 10:56

Bug it's just a cheapie from Amazon, we prob have the same one, it is a loud beep, my DP is used to it now but he was curious last night when I kept taking it out and putting it back it to check the temperature changes before the beep.

A FRER is a First Response Early Result Test, I haven't used one yet but they are supposed to be the most sensitive brand.

Am feeling nauseous again today, did last night too..... That was before I had a good cry at Corrie. I'm not usually like that!

LastOneDancing · 09/07/2015 11:20

Its sounding hopeful then Rick.

Grin at the earth shattering beep.

It's nice that you're concerned that you're disrupting your DH's sleep bug. If you're anything like me there will be a time in the not so distant future when that snoozing face will cause you immense rage.

LastOneDancing · 09/07/2015 11:22

Oh and I go as late as I can bear with testing. Negatives are horrible (see yesterday's post! I'm so stupid!)

Plus you then get anxious waiting to see if AF comes, despite the +ve. Grim.

bugista · 09/07/2015 11:45

Yeah, good point lod - I'm gonna try and wait till 12DPO although totally get why you caved and tested, it's really hard.

Yeah maybe I'll keep the really loud beeping therm so I can use that when I'm feeling really grouchy, hah.

Thanks rick will have a look for a FRER. Sounds great about the symptoms, very promising FX!

Rickalicious · 09/07/2015 12:03

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, deep down I don't think it's our month, we'd be really lucky if it happened first try, I'm expecting it to take a while. I really think it's my mind playing tricks on me! I'm going to hold out as long as possible but i would have tested by now if there wasn't that doubt about me ovulating late!

LastOneDancing · 09/07/2015 12:47

Got my FRER from eBay as they were much cheaper than boots

link

chelle792 · 09/07/2015 13:00

lod it was the same first response left from a pack of 2 that I used earlier in the week. It's such a faint faint line. I woke OH at 5:15 to tell him Blush

LastOneDancing · 09/07/2015 13:31

A line is a line my lovely.

I will look forward to seeing a big fat dark line tomorrow if you get a more sensitive test.

bugista · 09/07/2015 14:12

Cool thanks for the link lod

Rickalicious · 09/07/2015 14:21

£6.50 at Tesco, that's where I got mine from.

www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=267415302

LastOneDancing · 09/07/2015 15:48

Ebay is a twin pack Rick Smile

Sometimes you get them BOGOF at boots but they are pricey considering what you do with them.

Jojo have a really good sale on at the mo. Very tempted to test tomorrow AM so I can take advantage if I am actually pregnant. Which I know I'm not.

Rickalicious · 09/07/2015 16:06

Tesco is a twin pack too, it says 2 on the front.... unless ebay is a twin twin pack that has 4 in???

All the syncro POASs have gone out the window now, ha ha!

chelle792 · 09/07/2015 16:09

Do it lod!!!! Tomorrow we can see who wakes up first!! Wink

LastOneDancing · 09/07/2015 16:10

I apologise - so it is!
Boo! My tesco only ever has crappy clearblue on the shelves, what a PITA when FRER are a bargain online Grin
