Today I'm 4 days past ovulation- I think. So that makes me due AF 8th May.

I'm 27, and first month ttc #1.

Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

lod yes I think you are in with a good chance, though better if you can dtd today too (and tomorrow if possible). Did you test again this morning?

Ha, that's nothing compared to what I say on here Blush

I have some ic's lined up. I did test today and nothing but knew it wouldn't show anything yet. Although I'm not too confident this month is my month as the signs have tallied exactly with the last couple of months pretty much to the day. Also realised I only have 3 hpt's left in the cupboard, will have to check my overnight bag to see if there are any more in there or I'll have to go shopping!

I know people say you should use a frer but I don't understand how that could show any earlier or clearer than an ic with the same sensitivity at 10mil. Does anyone else know the answer to this?

LastOneDancing · 29/06/2015 11:57

I would guess FRER-love is only because it's reputable. ICs are probably 99% fine but because they're 50 for £3 off the internet I suppose you don't have the same reassurance in your head as something bought for £10 from Boots.

It's all BS though isn't it because you either are or you aren't - knowing 2 days earlier makes zero difference to the eventual outcome. It just means the first 12 weeks of waiting are 2 days longer.

Sad as it is, I don't think I can bring myself to try and make poor DH DTD tonight. It would feel too forced and who wants to get jiggy on a Monday?!

Vap0 · 30/06/2015 08:09

Well, I took a test and nothing. App on my phone says test tomorrow. Only have enough tests for 1 per day until Friday. Hope AF isn't late as really don't want to have to buy more. The last couple of months I've started spotting from what would be the equivalent of tomorrow so I should have clearer signs tomorrow.
I just know it's not happening this month.
DP asked me the other day when I can test. I think he is going to be disappointed when I tell him af arrives.
I'm on a massive downer today as I'm away from this morning and won't get home until Sunday afternoon. The weekend is for a hen do but most of the week away is work crap! Especially as my knob head manager just told me I shouldn't have had an admin day yesterday. I suppose I should somehow find the 9hrs I sat at a computer yesterday in my weekends or give up a few more evenings to work Sad not what you need the morning before being away for so long on your own.

LastOneDancing · 30/06/2015 10:05

Interesting! I had a very similar conversation with my last boss, very shortly before I found new employment. I wasn't getting any admin or travel time allowances and both were getting out of hand. Is yours an American company? I generally find they are the worst for employing one person to do 2 people's work.
I'm sorry you're in for a shitty few days Sad are you looking forward to the hen? How many DPO are you now?

I've been having very mild pains in my left side so I've either ovved or its imminent. OPK was positive again this morning so I will try and get DH in the mood once more tonight. I was too tired last night.

Not feeling too hopeful. I think DH and i peaked too soon! Smile

Vap0 · 30/06/2015 10:30

Yep it's an American company! I do love my job but I hate how my boss treats me! And the lack of time to do anything! As if not going home often isn't bad enough but when I'm there in expected to spend every waking moment of it working!! In fact, what am I doing sleeping when I could be working?? I was looking for something else oooh, let me think, yep, about 2 years ago now but kept telling myself that I need the security for maternity leave, ha! What a joke that is!

Good luck with dtd! Great you have had 2 positives Smile must have loads of hormones! I think that's where I'm failing.

11dpo at the minute. If I ovulated the day my app tells me I did. Will keep testing.

Hen do? Not really looking forward to it but I don't look forward to anything that means time away from home. I'll enjoy it when I'm there. Holidays booked early summer for a week and we are staying at home DP isn't too happy about not going away but I'm over the moon Grin

achm have you tested or managed to remain strong? Am I right think g your af is due Thursday?

chelle792 · 30/06/2015 16:32

Ahh another one jumping on and going crazy here. 4dpo (I think). How does 12 days feel like so long!!!

Achm · 30/06/2015 16:56

Um, so.....

Anyone else 4dpo?
Achm · 30/06/2015 16:59

Sorry I've been quiet, tested Saturday morning ONLY to rule it out so I could drink Sat night, and got that! Tested again on Dunday but didn't have enough wee for the first test so messed it up, then did a clear blue and it was very very faint, but I had drunk three pints of water to make sure I could go. I'm not convinced yet, want to test lots more and see the doc first. But I am in complete shock.

Achm · 30/06/2015 17:00

Vap sorry you're away from home, and you boss is being shitty, hope you're staying somewhere nice?
What is it with managers never understanding how much work people need to do to do their jobs properly!?!?

Vap0 · 30/06/2015 17:26

Oh my gosh achm congratulations!!!
Fantastic news!
What days did you dtd then?
Just so I can try it this month.

That's a very good line for an early test!
What were you when you tested? About 10dpo?
Were you in month 2 of trying?

Vap0 · 30/06/2015 17:43

I'm getting a bit worried I'll be on my own here soon Sad

Vap0 · 30/06/2015 17:45

Ooh a newbie
Hello chelle welcome!
Tell us a little about you?
Not sure if you've read much of this thread but we are very friendly and desperately seeking that elusive bfp!!

Achm · 30/06/2015 17:54

Yup month two and I feel so guilty. Feeling incredibly lucky though as there are some historical things that made me think I might have to wait a very long time and that it might not even happen. We dtd on days 7, 10, 15 and 16. Supposedly I ov'd on day 15 so I thought we'd missed it but maybe on the day works? I had been upset we missed days 11-14 as I thought they were best.

Achm · 30/06/2015 17:55

Welcome chelle!

Achm · 30/06/2015 17:56

I was 9 dpo when I tested.

Vap0 · 30/06/2015 19:09

Don't feel guilty!
Good for you!
I'd be jumping for joy if it was me Grin
Congratulations Flowers
We didn't manage to dtd on the day I ovulated which in pretty gutted about! DP had best get himself ready for a full week in a couple of weeks!

What symptoms did you have if any? And what timescales? Sorry for being nosey.

LastOneDancing · 30/06/2015 19:16

Hooorrraaaayyyy!!!!!! Grin Grin Grin

I'm so very pleased for you Achm. The last thing you should feel is guilty! What's your DH said? Have you told anyone else? Most importantly how do you feel about the news?!

See. FRER are the way forward Wink Did you have to give an excuse for not drinking?

LastOneDancing · 30/06/2015 19:17

Oh no, sorry! Hi chelle!

Welcome to obsessive POASers.

LastOneDancing · 30/06/2015 19:27
chelle792 · 30/06/2015 19:57

Hi all, [waves]

Thank you for the welcome Smile Congratulations achm

A little about me? Getting married in November and am supposed to be losing a stone to fit into my wedding dress so have decided to get pregnant instead Wink No children so far but do have a dog. I'm 28.

I don't ovulate very regularly but am hopeful that this month I have. OH says he's taking it casually but I overheard him talking to a friend about it at a BBQ - so he's secretly as optimistic as I am. He also makes sure he jumps me on 'green days' - he basically pounces on me Blush

Ummm... not really sure what else, tbh Smile

Achm · 30/06/2015 20:14

Oh chelle you're so lucky!! There was no 'jumping' from my DH!!!

You might remember me posting about seeing a friend who told me to get on the opk's? Well I tested the following morning! I wanted to tell her straight away, but have only told BFF and my mum, can't trust DH's fam to keep quiet for a while!!
I had no symptoms at all or so I thought, but looking back I have been crazy tired and have had terrible headaches which I was blaming on the heat. Having a nap is my new favourite hobby. I'm still feeling reserved as my period isn't even late yet, so I'll feel better when I get to the docs maybe next week. AF due Thurs, so I'll feel much better by Fri!
We were out with my bro and some friends on Sun, but was relatively easy to be just driving, as their house is far away so they knew one of us wouldn't be drinking. I had had a glass of wine the night before which I now feel bad about but it was just one smallish one.
Oh, have also had some cramps which are scary as they feel like AF but I've read that's normal. It's been very odd at work not telling anyone but I want to wait quite a while I think.

LastOneDancing · 30/06/2015 20:16

Ah congrats on your wedding Chelle! I was too selfish to TTC before we got married - I wanted champagne Grin

When you say green days - is that an app or are you using OPKs?

LastOneDancing · 30/06/2015 20:22

Achm I know its easy for me to say but try not to worry at all. Cramps are most likely are the egg bedding in and don't give a second thought to the wine. The baby won't share your bloodstream for a few weeks yet, just take care from now on and keep taking your folic Smile

chelle792 · 30/06/2015 20:32

achm will people begin to question you not drinking? So many of my friends know why I'm alcohol free at the moment.

last we are mostly getting married this year because we want a family. We probably wouldn't rush otherwise.

I use an app that tracks my cycle. And tbh, I'm in so much pain during ovulation week that there's no doubt where in my cycle I am

Achm · 30/06/2015 20:36

Thank you lod I needed to hear that! I'm feeling a bit clueless at the moment!

chelle I think I'll get away with it, I haven't got any big events coming up and generally either me or DH will drive do I think I can use that for a while! It's harder avoiding tea and coffee at work, but this weather is helping to make water obvious!!
