Anyone else 4dpo?

Today I'm 4 days past ovulation- I think. So that makes me due AF 8th May.

I'm 27, and first month ttc #1.

Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

I think basically when it comes out. The good stuff gets itself up there and hangs around! That's why its a lot messier after a while as there's all that dead stuff! This is what I've heard through a friend not direct so I could be wrong!

Weirdo alert!!

Just woke up after having a terrible dream. I dreamt I had my baby and it was so ugly. It has these giant boggle eyes and I didn't love it, I wanted to but couldn't. I dreamt I was out and about with my sil and her 2 beautiful little girls and I had this horrible featured baby in tow. I also dreamt the baby was a girl. The baby was very good and no problem just the ugliest baby I've ever seen. We were out shopping at a local outlet park and changing nappies and feeding etc, so all normal there it was just how ugly this baby was!

Yep, I've fallen into the "mad" phase of my cycle!

Here's a strange one, for the last 3 months I have had a nightmare the night after a + opk. I rarely dream or have nigtmares and so have been recording when it has happened and there is a definite pattern.

Any dream experts among us? I had a quick google but not much came up.

Both my friend and I had terrible vivid dreams in the first trimester. It must be hormonal!

Lol vap that was me this am!! Managed to dtd last night after making up from a few grumpy days. When we were talking I managed to slip in the fact that I get anxious that we'll miss the best days and I've decided to pounce more and not feel bad about it!! Bum on a pillow and legs up the wall so long I was ten mins late for work!!! Haha beg it's a myth but makes me feel better!! Got to give the little swimmers the best possible chance!!!

I have no clue about any of this opk lark?? And frer??? Explanations please!!
Also what do you think of my chances this month, we only dtd on days 7, 10 and 15. And according to app, I o'd on day 15. I reckon we missed it!

Ah Achm, if you're not on contraception and you're DTD around the right time you're in the game! App-schmapp, they're all based on averages anyway. I'd get another shag in tonight if poss

FRER = first response early result. IMO the most reliable early test you can get, although expensive and allegedly internet cheapies can be as sensitive.

OPK = ovulation predictor kits. It detects the hormone surge before you ovulate to give you a clue when the best time to DTD is and to check that you are getting the surge. Dirt cheap on Amazon.

Saw a pregnant friend today. I love her so much, but my heart still did a little sad flip when I saw her bump getting out the car. I hate feeling like that. I want to feel nothing except over the moon for her when her baby arrives, I don't even want to feel a single tiny pang of envy ugh.

It's so hard not to be jealous. My step sister is massive and due any second. Don't enjoy being on a room with her at the mo!!

Totally agree with the bum on pillow, even if it doesn't help it puts minds at rest which helps itself! What did Mr achm say when you told him about being anxious, does he understand more now? Do you think he will be more compliant in future? I'd say you're still in with a chance, you'd have more a chance if you had dtd more often but I'd say you're not out!

Opk- ovulation predictor kit - poas in fertile window to see the surge, depending on the type, if you use branded they say to use the kit from the day you stop af and cost a small fortune (or would if you had to do it for as many months I've been trying). If you use ic's they still work and still show the surge and cost a fraction of the cost. It will show you the surge if you have one. I use fmu generally but if you always get a strong line it's worth using later in the day urine to get a better reading. Depends on your normal hormone levels.

Frer - first response early result home pregnancy test - 10ml (or whatever the sensitivity is registered in) this gives the earliest response possible so people say. I have 10ml ic's and don't understand if it's the same sensitivity why it wouldn't show up at the same time - maybe someone could enlighten me on this one too. I've no idea though as have never been lucky enough to have a +

We haven't dtd today, I've been wiped out! Went to sleep for a couple of hours after work - totally unlike me to sleep in the day. We went to dinner with dp' parents and I was yawning at the table, felt very rude but couldn't help it! Came home had a drink with them and the second they left came back to bed. Shattered. Bloody hormones are so debilitating! I've not had to put up with any of this whilst on the depo jab and as much as I regret having it and what it's done to me I don't regret the lack of this total exhaustion!

So we have dtd Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Surge came on Thursday and I think I ovulated on Thursday - or at least hope I did! Really hope I've been caught this month... Can't wait to test on or around 3rd July.

lod has af finished yet? You must be nearing fertile window now?

P.S. Total idiot today. Dp came in after work and I'd left the fridge wide open all day! Today has been one of those days. Must have been bogglina on my mind!

I very interested in the dream thing!! I go through phases of really vivid drama and gad one or two this week, maybe it is linked to Ov?

Argh! Just remembered my dream from last night!! Me and DH had kidnapped our kids (my steps) and gone on the run! No idea why, as we had taken the ex with us so it's not like we stole them from her!!?? I even ended up making friends with her!!! Terrifying! Maybe ov was last night judging by very non science dream scales! in which case we might have times it right!!

achm there must be a link to the hormones, I had another mad dream last night too.

Next doors 4 year old has been shouting since 8am to his mum downstairs and she keeps shouting back. So annoying! Ias trying to sleep.

DP keep saying "this is the month, I know it. we've done everything right and I think this is the month". Well, let's hope he's right! If only doing everything right means a BFP, sadly that's not really the way it works. We did miss dtd yesterday though which I'm bothered about. Wondering if I can be bothered to have another go today (really can't be bothered but know I'll kick myself when af arrives if I don't). The exhaustion levels from yesterday have lessened a bit today which is making me think I probably didn't ovulate on Thursday like I thought but yesterday (Friday) as my app said.

When you have the pains in your ovaries..... Do you think that is preparation for ovulation or do you think that is ovulation itself?

vap I've been having wierd one sided lower back/hip pain for a couple of years, very on and off! I have asked docs about it but they never seem bothered. My first thought was period pain but it didn't tie in. I'm now sure it's ov pain as it's just one side. I think pain is preparation and leading into ov, like period pains are before and during?

achm sounds like you have it too. I hear only 1/5 people can feel ovulation. I have to say I have only felt twinges for the last 2 months so don't know if it will go away again or maybe it's because I'm super aware of everything happening.

This tww is not as bad as the last. Even though dp thinks this month is the month I'm not holding up my hopes. Am still really wanting to test asap but nothing will show up until at least July at the very earliest!

Right POAOPK starts tomorrow. I feel nervous. I always feel twitchy starting a new cycle. This time were supposefly committed and going for it which has made me worse - if it doesn't work this time I think there's 'an issue'. Plus after last month's misery mystery lm a bit scared it'll happen again.

I have ovving pains over a couple of days Vaps so I guess you're right it's the preparation and the ovulation? Does the egg have to rupture a membrane to escape? Maybe the pressure of it starting to do it and then again when it pops out?

I have everything crossed for you both - when is the first planned POAS?

Ooh! Lod! Good luck with your opk's although I'm sure you'll be fine! Don't get disheartened when the 1st few days don't show a + as it will only show for a day at most!

Ref the poas hpt hmmm! Well let's just see! I'd say that if I last until 10dpo I'll be doing well which I think is Monday 29th depending on when I actually ovulated. The 28th could however be 10dpo if I ovulated the day I thought I did... Will do my best to hold out until that Monday! Ha! But you know how rubbish I am at waiting! AF due Friday 3rd so will probably test each day until AF makes an appearance.

achm you seem to have more will power than me and think you're due a similar time to me, will you be holding out? When will you be testing?

I'm getting a little worried now! We were sent a calendar invite to a photo shoot for October. We do it every year and they make us dress up in far too clingy clothes (for a calendar for customers) and if I am pregnant then it will be difficult to hide as everyone will be looking at me all day and then there are all the pictures for further clarification if they want to check back! I really need to either be past the 3 months after I have told work I'm pregnant or not be very pregnant at all as I'm scared about them getting rid of me! I know legally they couldn't do that but I'm not convinced they couldn't find a reason to get rid. Work really gets in the way of this ttc business all the flipping time!

Yup vap think we're pretty much in sync! My AF is due on the 2nd. I want to wait until then to test but will be b hard to wait the full two weeks!

As requested, here is OPK 1 done this morning at cd6. Not expecting anything until cd10 at the earliest but this is for science.

That's a very good line for cd6! I think mine was only that clear on cd10.

Not min going on here apart from a noticeable amount of cm. It's clear and watery but lots of it. Not sure why this should be the case now? Surely that should have happened when I was ovulating? Not after?

It could be my dodgy cheapo tests Vap. I'm going to keep OPKing after I get a positive (staying positive that I WILL get a positive after last cycle's weirdness) just incase I get a second wave indicating that my body didn't quite manage to get an egg out first time and is having a second try.

I read that on the interweb somewhere - possibly even here. Do you think it's bolleaux?

Also did my temp - 36.1 according to LLODS little ear thermometer thing.
