Well, I thouht I'd better start this thread as I am CD1 of my 6th cycle of trying for our very precious first baby. This is going to be a lucky and positive thread, I can feel it so I'm laying down the babydust now so that as you join me, you can collect your dose .

For those who join me, what are you doing differently this cycle?

MrsMcJnr · 01/12/2006 15:44

sorry Greedy, just catching up. I can just tell you're goodlooking from your posts! Sorry you are feeling a bit down and emotional this afternoon. Sending you big hugs. Your chart looks great and my money would be on you for a BFP, today was too early 7dpo or 9dpo, even at 10dpo only 35% get BFP. Cheer up, can't bear hearing you down.

FFF - hope your DS is better soon poor little mite. Things are sounding good with you

Go KitKat!

Good luck to you all this weekend Whether you're testing.... or waiting patiently.... or are madly seducing your DH at every opportunity for a spot of BD'ing as I will be doing. I shall be refraining from noseying on MN over the next few days in the hope I will be able to think of something else other than babies, babies and babies

I am now if full festive spirit and will put my tree up and hope Santa (aka DH) fill's my stocking later!! TMI!!! te hee hee!!

Ready · 01/12/2006 17:34

Hi girls! I have had a few days away from MN as I was feeling low and really didn't want to bring the mood of the board down. Especially since it's all about calm karma this month, and I certainly didn't feel calm!! I feel a little better today so I thought I would pop in to see how everyone is doing! I haven't posted since Tuesday and SOOOO much has happened!!

Greedy - I see you were looking for me!!! Bless your little heart, it makes me feel all warm and gooey to think that you wondered where I was (or was it just to poke fun at me for forgetting you in one of my posts? ) How's it going chick? How are the hormones? Thanks for saying I BDed enough here's hoping!!

Floss - Cycle Buddy!!! Thanks for thinking of me, I am feeling a little better today. Has your mood improved or are you still being a monster to DP? My DH has been through the mill with me these last couple of days, I have been very tearful. You ask what day I am due AF... technically friday the 8th is CD28 for me, so have always taken that to mean that cd29 is AF due date? Have I been doing this wrong all this time? Might explain why I sometimes have a 27 day cycle?? How do you do it? That AF will arrive on CD28? Rambled there a bit, sorry. I won't test though until the following week if AF stays away... what about you?

MrsMc - I am so sorry I was not online to offer a huge hug to you, and your concerns about things from the past. It's been said by the others, but you really can't beat yourself up about a decision you made years ago. Lots of women have terminations and go on to have lots of children, and you will too!! You will be a wonderful mother!! Like you say you can tell Greedy is a looker (i bet she is too ) I can tell you will make a fabulous mother!! There will be a brood of McJnrjnrs!!

Well didn't I miss out on the sauciest (no pun intended) of subjects?? Babygravy descriptions!! Yorkshire pudding mix had be in stitches - but it DIDN'T make me feel hungry!!! Sugar puff smelling wee - that only ever happens to me when I have coffee!

LOL at the "pretend fighting" between Impatience and Greedy - we'll have to band your heads together!!

Good luck everyone who is testing this weekend... fingers crossed for you all!!!!!!!

xxx

Ready · 01/12/2006 17:37

me not be!!! doh!

MrsMcJnr · 01/12/2006 17:53

Thank you Conkertree and Firststar! and 1n2s, have fun

Hello Ready wondered where you were when I was briging down the mood on here a couple of days ago! sorry you've been feeling low. Sending you big hugs. Thank you for all the lovely things you said to me. By the way, the day after OV is 1dpo.

My tree is here!!!

OP posts:
Ready · 01/12/2006 18:18

Woo hoo. Your tree arrived!! We collect ours on Sunday!!!!!!!

You DID NOT bring the mood down flower - not from what I was reading, I just feel so guilty that I was not around for hugs and moral support, although the others had it hand ... instead I was wallowing in self pity and driving my DH round the bend with the tears!! I told him he ain't seen nothing yet... when/if I get pg, then he will know what a mood swing really is!
Thanks for the dpo info... that means I am 6dpo and on 5dpo had a significant rise in temps Not symptom spotting honest

FestivelyFrostyFloss · 01/12/2006 18:26

Hi ready! I think you should have posted then perhaps we could have tried to cheer you up! Thats what this is all about on here isn't it? Support. Sorry you felt you couldn't. Dp is fairing slightly better today thank you!!

DS is now much better. A curative trip to the drs and mummy cancelling her shift soon saw him back to his normal self! Dr thinks just a virus, I rarely take DS unless I am sure something is really wrong and I was sure earlier he was really poorly. Of course I am very glad he seems so much better now, just a little that I over reacted!

I don't think our decs will go up untill next weekend. Both DP and I are off then and we have to go and collect our stuff from SIL's. Also I prefer them really to go up after my birthday , think this will be the first year in ages I got my way! Glad your tree made it though MMJ.

Ready · 01/12/2006 20:18

FestivelyFrostyFloss: Loving the name by the way petal!! I've been thinking of something festive for Ready, but nothing springs to mind! Glad your DS is feeling better, this is the time for all the bugs isn't it!! tlc from Mum usually does the trick, or at least it did when I was small and maybe there will be some left over for DP? dare I suggest he gets any

It's not that I felt I couldn't post when I was feeling low, it was more that I didn't want to bring everyone else down by going on... I love this board and the support that we all offer each other, but sometimes I feel as if I tend to be a drama queen and overdo the worrying

Are you looking forward to your birthday?? Anything special planned

When are the first testers testing? (makes me think of the 12 days of Christmas --- 6testers testing)

greedyguzzler · 01/12/2006 20:27

Enjoy your curry and beer (not too much now!!) and your weekend away. See you when you get back!

lovelybird · 01/12/2006 20:48

Hi all,
anyone tested yet? AF has not arrived yet, and definately should have done by now. Too scared to test as I know it'll be a BFN and i'm sure AF will arrive tomorrow and i'll have wasted another flippin PGtest.
Have had some AF syptoms so I am sure she's on her way. Will see what temp is in the morning.
Fingers crossed for you all and loads of twinkly xmas babydust.

Ready · 01/12/2006 20:51

Fingers crossed Lovelybird... definitely wait until tomorrow til you test, hang in there!

MadameButterfly · 01/12/2006 22:29

Evening All,

Just to let you know that I won't be about tomorrow. DP and I are off to London for a "heroscape" tournament. Need to get the train at 6.45am and won't be home until approx 9pm.

DD is staying over at her grandparents for 2 nights. Thewy collected her after scholl and we will get her back on Sunday.

cityangel · 01/12/2006 22:34

Ready good to have you back xxx Try not to go away for too long when you're down that's what we're here for. Is there anything we can help with? I think maybe desperate2b felt the same.

I've had a couple of ropey days myself. Turned into an odd hormone monster for the last 2 days and I'd like to thank everyone for chatting it really helps.

Greedy I think going away will help you feel better and chill out :0) Kit Kat is brave.. perhaps I should rename myself lemon sherbet and tell you to be damn happy

Flossy glad things are getting better. If its something you really want, stick with it for a bit longer. You have a better back up plan that most of us!

MrsMC the 'what to do on the 2ww wait' thread corrupted me as we have a flat full of christmas drinks tomorrow I think we should start that thread up again as it sure does help to have other projects on the go ;)

Happy nearly Saturday everyone.

MadameButterfly · 01/12/2006 23:20

I usually get a migraine when AF is on her way. Due on on Monday, and still no sign of that headache, so keep your fingers crossed that it never does appear.

babyfettle · 02/12/2006 08:43

Hi all, just thought I'd let you know that I caved in last night and did a test - BFN as expected. But Ididn't expect to feel as low as I do today. DH keeps telling me to cheer up and help tidy the house, as the post-move chaos isn't helping, but all I want to do is crawl under my duvet for the day.

Sorry to lower the happy tone, I just need to talk to some people who understand. Hopefully the GP on Wednesday will be understanding, as this is getting on for the longest cycle I've had since I started temping 1 year before we had DD.

Anyway on to happier things - off to get our Christmas tree today and decorate the house! Have a great weekend everyone and I hope we get some BFPs this weekend.

Take care all

Impatience · 02/12/2006 09:05

Morning all. Have just posted this on the newsflash thread, but af has arrived. It's very mysterious because it's 2 days early, and for as long as I've been charting (about 2.5 years!) I've been exactly 16 days from ov to af. So even AF arrival isn't straightforward: still a bit of me that h opes that odd timing means it's just implantation/breakthrough or something! I'll see how it goes today, whether it turns into proper af or not. If not, I'll still test tomorrow.

eek, gotta dash x

Ready · 02/12/2006 09:37

Impatience: Oh honey, ((hugs)) I am sorry to hear about AF... here's hoping that it is implantation/breakthrough as you have said, like you said it's never early! Keep us posted, and if you need to chat I will be popping in throughout the day!

Cityangel: Thanks for that chick It's good to be back actually, I missed out on loads Also sorry I wasn't about to chat with a fellow hormone sufferer!! Enjoy your christmas drinks today, make sure you alternate yours - don't get too sloshed

Babyfettle: STEP AWAY FROM THE CLEAR BLUE I know I am a bossy so and so when it comes to testing early, but a BFN this early does not mean anything and you have wasted your money and cause yourself unnecessary heartache (((hugs))) Throw yourself into the unpacking and keep your chin up!!

Is anyone legitimately testing today?? Good luck to thos that are... those that aren't meant to be - DON'T DISCLAIMER: Ready does not mean to be strict and cold, she just cares about people's feelings and purses!!

babyfettle · 02/12/2006 09:46

Thanks Ready - it wasn't really that early though - CD43 today! But my temps hadn't indicated ov yet this cycle, so I wasn't expecting anything but I've had weird AF-like symptoms for a week, but nothing yet, so just in case temps weren't fool-proof, I thought I'd better test just in case the big, achy boobs and slight weird lower abdominal feelings were anything else. But not to be!

Anyway, mustn't give up hope - took 2 years to conceive DD!

Impatience - hope it is good news - I bled on and off for about 2 weeks before I even considered that I might be pg with DD, so not necessarily AF, particularly if it is at slightly different time than normal - GOOD LUCK!!

Have a great day everyone!

FestivelyFrostyFloss · 02/12/2006 10:00

Oh Impatience, really hope thats what it might be. Fingers crossed and thinking of you.

Sounds like most of us have been hormonal monsters!! I was most upset last night as my chips did not come with my take away. Then I went to local supermarket to get chocolate cherry tiffins - thought it closed at 10, but no closed at 9. Poor me!!

CA - not sure what you meant by back up plan? Am \i just being thick sorry!

BF - so sorry it wasn't a BFP I hope you get somewhere with GP's.

Ready - For my birthday I think a trip to Cardiff might be on the cards with a lunch out with my two boys. We'll probably try and get most of our xmas shopping done then aswell, despite me saying about xmas shopping over shadowing my birthday. The day before I'm going out for lunch with some of my work colleagues, just because it was a good day for a lunch out. Don't think anyone knows it is my b day the next day!! PMSL with you telling everyone off! How are you feeling?

Ready · 02/12/2006 10:37

sorry Babyfettle, I should have read the newsflash thread to check where you were in your cycle before being so bossy. oops. sorry. Good luck with your GP on wednesday, you need to talk to them as that is a long cycle!! Fingers crossed for you honey ((hugs))

FrostyFloss - Your trip to cardiff sounds lovely! Nothing wrong with a bit of xmas shopping, so long as you get some wonderful things just for yourself!! at telling everyone off, I shouldn't should I? But I would want people to tell me off for testing early (Babyfettle wasn't though!)... I fully intend to wait 5 days til I test

I ordered some Liz Earle products the other day to cheer myself up and they arrived this morning, each item individually wrapped in tissue paper!! The products smell divine, can't wait to start using them (my skin needs some tlc!)

Ready · 02/12/2006 10:40

What the devil are chocolate cherry tiffins???

FestivelyFrostyFloss · 02/12/2006 11:30

They are shaped lik flapjacks, but made of chocolate and digestive biscuits. This particular variety has whole glacier cherries in and raisons. There was a recipe on here for a tiffin last year (made with malteasers!!), will search for you. They are scrummy!!
