Well, I thouht I'd better start this thread as I am CD1 of my 6th cycle of trying for our very precious first baby. This is going to be a lucky and positive thread, I can feel it so I'm laying down the babydust now so that as you join me, you can collect your dose .

For those who join me, what are you doing differently this cycle?

ha ha sunshine - I know but how else do you describe it?? Its the resemblance to food that make me wince and chuckle at the same time Sending you lots of incontinence pads

sunshinedays · 30/11/2006 17:21

hair conditioner?

sunshinedays · 30/11/2006 17:22

baby lotion (maybe we should call it magic baby lotion)?

1n2s · 30/11/2006 17:23

Hmmmm now which hair conditioner do you use?? None of mine resemble spunk!!

greedyguzzler · 30/11/2006 17:27

I LOVE IT WHEN IT GETS FILTHY ON HERE!

greedyguzzler · 30/11/2006 17:28

it is supposed to be very good for your hair and skin isnt it? do you ACTUALLY use spunk (i hate that word!) sunshine?

greedyguzzler · 30/11/2006 17:31

PMSL at making you all hungry!!!! perve - you have OBVIOUSLY never tasted it (not even in your unsure days of youth????) if you were feeling hungry! SALTY! and leaves a nasty film in your mouth like lemonade does!

greedyguzzler · 30/11/2006 17:34

Now this is a bit yuk! i used to work in a patholgy lab testing blood and wee and pregnant womens wee always smelt different to non pg womens wee (not that i made a habit of sniffing every urine sample we got, but i happened to notice!). i noticed the same with myself when i was pg too!

greedyguzzler · 30/11/2006 17:39

another symptom for you all to spot!!!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 30/11/2006 17:50

Have only got a couple of mins to pop in. Thank you all for all your lovely messages. I really am touched . I have been really busy working today and had to go to a funeral which was very sad. No cramping since this morning. Speak very, very soon.

MrsMcJnr · 30/11/2006 17:51

Tili, meant to say, that is lovely news! you'll have to let us know your name short-list!

OP posts:
FemaleoftheSpecies · 30/11/2006 17:58

phew
and my first q is, should have asked it ages ago - do u all have memories like elephants or do you make notes or tile windows on pc screen so you can rememeber what everyone's been up to and type a response??? i'm going for tiling as i've been crap at saying hi to all

right, firstly mrs mc j hope you're okay and not giving yourself a hard time any more. you're a lovely strong person and you'll make a fab mother.

cityangel - re flights, its a pain, luckily i work for a big co who will see us okay, but i'm not hopeful there's too much info out there.. a small risk though i'm sure. poor cleaners and cabin crew though. they must be so worried. how was bluewater? i was there a few weekends back and it was pleasant. love the place though so would take alot to put me off. cd 7 - bd'ing ahoy then - good luck

impatience - good luck to you. what cd are you on? my ref to damaging bits was really a reference to being a bit too

free with my affections rather than implying any lurvemaking acrobatic skills

good luck madame butterfly - that metallic taste thing is a weird one - we shoud invent a pack you can buy in boots which gives you the taste to 'sample' so we are sure thats what it is, i find it hard to know what they mean by metallic

firststar - hi 2 - are you testing soon? good feelings?

kitkat, you sound like me last week.. hang on in there.. and maybe give yourself xmas off.. ?

greedy - its a bugger this game isn't it.. you sound in control though..

l2ns .thats a very good point your dh made - when mine did a test (the cheapo version from access diagnostics rather than the fertell thing) his stuff went liquid quite quickly. i was pleasantly surprised at the volume as i'd secretly had him down as a teaspoon rather than a tablespoon man (resisting urge to say a sip not a mouthful!). ANYWAY, i agree that if it goes liquid that must be why they say feet up. i get so uncomfortable though.. and bored. perhaps i need to stick something on the ceiling to read. alright for the blokes isn't it. they can go and do something else. good luck for cd 7

er greedy, wee.. sugar puffs. pls tell us what book this is from. does it depend what cereal you eat for brekky? or just coincidence?

now you've all put me off my answers - i'm going to have to go and smell my wee

Impatience · 30/11/2006 18:09

Female, I never remember what anyone's said the moment I scroll all the way down to answer! Memory like a ... er, what was I talking about..?

I'm CD25, 12DPO. Feeling fairly pre-af, so just had a childish strop on dp who's had a horrible long and hard day at work so of course I made everything all about me . Have some cramps, and a tiny bit of brown spotting, which I normally get a few days before af Bet you're pleased you asked!

FemaleoftheSpecies · 30/11/2006 18:14

bad luck re spotting impatience..

i've got so much to do, not sure where to start. going away sat for the night (romantic night away / frantic shopping trip).. god knows what clothes to wash/iron / take

plus got to go to hairdressers 2morrow but dreading it as i've got all these teenage spots round my mouth. i hate going best of times.. but the mirror bit

yuck. can't wait to get back on some contraception to sort skin out. this ttc lark is making me look disgusting

FemaleoftheSpecies · 30/11/2006 18:16

ps impatience.. have an all about you moment if you wish.. i'll even set up a thread if you like 'it's all about.. ta-da.. IMPATIENCE.

would that help ?

Impatience · 30/11/2006 18:26

'It's all about IMPATIENCE' could sum up most of these threads!

Thanks Female. I don't need a whole thread for myself. I'm perfectly able to go on about myself on here, as you might have noticed I feel better already. This really is a great site. God forbid any loon should ever shut it down : I have found this month the easiest so far and I'm sure it's because of all the support and laughs I've had on here. Thanks girls, you're all great. x

FemaleoftheSpecies · 30/11/2006 18:28

you are so right. actually i think we're all incredibly patient. imagine, if men were ttc the 2ww would be full of 'flu' and other serious illnesses, nt just cramps and spotting

1n2s · 30/11/2006 18:31

Female I know exactly where you are coming from - my skin is shocking!! Its a contraceptive all on its own, as I feel ugly, have bad skin and how can DH find me apealing with big carbunkles?? I only have a week after AF, when skin is lovely and clear. Oh to be back on the pill again.....

MadameButterfly · 30/11/2006 18:32

According to this site I OVd 16-26th Nov with Next Period or Positive Pregnancy Test Expected by: 4th Dec

honeyapple · 30/11/2006 19:25

You lot have really made me giggle with all the sperm descriptions! It is weird stuff...

Question- does anyone think it is worth getting those OP stick thingys?

Cheers

FemaleoftheSpecies · 30/11/2006 19:34

if only i got the week clear - a couple of years ago i was tormented with some cyst like spots under the skin on neck, chin, jawline. i'd had spots as a teenager and thought i knew what spots were. but this was dreadful. mirena strangely stopped them and i lived in clear skin paradise. fo the last month my skin has gradually gne mental, and now around my mouth i have these cysts under skin basically. so ugly. coupled with weight gain (okay due to giving up gym probably) and some hairs on nipples and tummy i think there is something v odd about me !! got a 'mild poly cystic ' diagnosis back as a teenager and never followed up since, although a scan for somethign else didn't show anything on ovaries.

damn this was meant to be a positive day! sory

greedyguzzler · 30/11/2006 19:50

female - after you have your baby you will long to look how you do now!!!! i got really spotty when pg, and got 2 stretchmarks ,one each pg, one from ds and one from dd! also my boobs now swing round my belly button and my tummy is all flabby! make the most of what you have now! (disregard all this if you already have kids by the way!!!)
the sugar puffs wee is just from personal experience and nothing to do with eating them, just mine used to smell a bit sugar puffy when pg! pg womens wee def smells different though!

perve - i meant to ask you, does your dp ever come on here? would she be horrified to see how desperate we all are, or would she have been similar if she hadnt concieved first time???

Impatience · 30/11/2006 19:53

Poor Female and 1n2s for the spots. I was a spotty youth but count myself lucky that I now just get the occassional.

Honeyapple, I would say don't bother with the LH sticks, but I still use them! I used to get positives, but haven't for a few months, despite definately ovulating (from ov pain and temp rise), and this was true one month when I had blood tests that proved that I had ovulated. The most I get now is a test line, but it's never darker than the control line, which it needs to be for a positive. MrsMcJnr said they don't work for her either.

BUT they might work for you, and if they did they would help you pinpoint ovulation, so perhaps give them a go, but rely more on your ewcm and ovulation pain, and subsequent temp rise.

Impatience · 30/11/2006 19:58

Greedy, dp's just as desperate as we all are! I've forbidden her to look on this thread, because I want it to myself. But I think she could do with the support too, so I'll prob let her on if I'm still on conception threads next month.

Are your dh/dps as desperate as we are? Do they talk to anyone?

FestivelyFrostyFloss · 30/11/2006 20:10

Dp's less keen than me. Has been more keen recently but I have been a monster I think this month so wouldn't blame him if he wasn't keen again next month!! I think at the time I shall just have to be a bit more subtle, its not been my speciality this month.

I'm driving myself half crazy with am I aren't I. Felt slightly nauseas this afternoon and got excited. Have had a bit of lower abdo pain, but wind is abaiting. Will just have to wait I know. But I want to know now. I'm working tomorrow evening, sunday monday and weds, have plans for tues and thurs so I should be busy enough to keep my mind of it fingers crossed.

I'm sorry I'm not doing very well at keeping up with people on here atm, the thread is huge!!

Ready, how are you feeling?? Are you due af next fri too? I can't remember if your cycle was longer.

Impatience, not long till testing now! Same for you MMJ!

PMSL about the sperm discussions. I guess the baby lotion for us is about the most accurate description!

MB - that link has completely thrown me - I thought I ov'd at around day ten, but by my calcs the site is kind of saying I can't be!! Having said that this month I had CM all over the place so I have absolutely no idea. I think next month I will fork out for the OV tests. At least then it will (hopefully) take away some of the uncertainty. Unfortunately, working shifts I think my sleeping pattern might be too erratic for temping.

Well, another Me me me post really. Sorry.
